- It's not exactly Cyberpunk, it's not exactly sci-fi, it's exactly BioShock. No, wait, it's not exactly that, since it's on a phone.
Not a smartphone; no Android, no iPhone. This is BioShock for what we now call feature phones. It's the Java Micro Edition (J2ME) port by Indiagames (igfun), but it's a completely legal, licensed port, not a bootleg! I'll be doing my best to play the whole damned thing.

BioShock is a first-person shooter video game developed by 2K Boston (later Irrational Games) and 2K Australia, and published by 2K Games. BioShock is set in 1960. The player guides the protagonist, Jack, after his airplane crashes in the ocean near the bathysphere terminus that leads to the underwater city of Rapture. Built by the business magnate Andrew Ryan, the city was intended to be an isolated utopia, but the discovery of ADAM, a genetic material which can be used to grant superhuman powers, initiated the city's turbulent decline. Jack tries to find a way to escape, fighting through hordes of ADAM-obsessed enemies, and the iconic, deadly Big Daddies, while engaging with the few sane humans that remain and eventually learning of Rapture's past. The player, as Jack, is able to defeat foes in a number of ways by using weapons, utilizing plasmids that give unique powers, and by turning Rapture's own defenses against them.

@@Yahweasel I already imagined it because there are parts where you get lost in the map. But I don't blame you because the 2d perspective of this port is not good. And out of curiosity, did you get to play its orignial version?
@@faster2x77 I'd like to at some point, but I haven't yet. It's on my list, but like everyone, my list is infinitely long :)
@@Yahweasel That's very cool. As a bonus, if you would like to see another version of Bioshock for phones you should check out the brew version which is a bit more faithful to the original source because, unlike java, this one is in 3d (with certain limitations).
@@faster2x77 Getting Brew versions of anything is really tricky. I have a lot of Brew stuff on my todo, but it's a much harder world to break into than J2ME :(
