    It has come to my attention that someone may be using a profile titled “The_MountainMaker” or something to that liking and commenting on others comments telling them they are a winner. This is NOT an official account, NO winners have been drawn and the only official contact will be through the email you provided when you signed up for the giveaway. The winner WILL be announced on the channel, but only after they have been confirmed by the giveaway manager as the winner and notified via that email. Can’t wait for the Amazon FBA video! Have had my own issues on my adventure with Amazon. Recently sent in a shipment and they closed it out with still no site of the items being received. Would love to see your process and detail and if you’ve had any experiences that you found a solution to.

    This is an idea that may not be useful now but when you get bigger it may be valuable. When you prepare the dumbells for shipping to Amazon, you pick up the dumbell to put in bubble wrap, put it down. To close the bubble wrap you pick up the packaged dumbell, tape it closed and put it down. Then you put the labels on it you pick up the dumbell and put the label on it then put it down. Many motions. Later when you are packaging fifty or more, put a shelf over your bench where you do packaging with a packing tape and label dispenser that are fixed to the shelf. Then you pick up the the dumbell, put it in the bubble wrap, with one hand you can pull and tear off a piece of packing tape to close the bubble wrap bag and then pull a label and put it on the bubble wrap bag and then you can put it down, maybe into the box that will be used to ship the dumbells. Right now, it may not be that cost effective but later one doing things to speed up every part of your operation will make a difference.

    I like your videos! I just started a printing Etsy store about a year ago and have exploded from 1 printer to a fleet of almost 20 and seeing alternative ways of handling things is super helpful! I'd love to hear more about the process for getting your items approved and listed on Amazon as this is something I haven't tried before.

    Great job on your videos. I am really enjoying your content. I had an Etsy shop for many years selling 3D prints so I like your channel. Several videos back, you complained about one vendor shipping tangled filament. We all know that it is almost impossible to tangle filament while winding it. Mishandling the filament during roll changes is usually the problem. I have seen you on past videos unloading spools without controlling the end of the filament. That's a no_no. :) Just a mild scolding. Keep up the good work.

      I know i've definitely tangled some spools using that pull and go method. I guess my only real complaint I have with one of the manufacturers was with the spools coming bent or damaged on the edges, making them hard to run in the AMS without an adapter, or re-spooling them. I appreciate the support!

    • @tomwitman7465
      @tomwitman7465 4 дня назад

      @@TheMountainMaker That I can understand. You're not the first to complain about how fussy the AMS is. I'm also a wood worker, so I wouldn't mind a few episodes on the other side of the shop. :) A potter as well.

    Hey ! I found that the elegoo spool are very stiff to Ams lite too and I printed a " ams lite spool removal tool" and it's help a lot ! Maybe tell your brother about this tool it may help him

    • @MattWeber
      @MattWeber 8 дней назад

      Yup makes it super easy and works for "most" spools. All except the tightest fitting cores at least. Only brand I have it doesn't work for is the Atomic filaments as their core diameter is the same size as the ID of the removal tool so it doesn't fit inside the core.

    Another great video! You mentioned at the beginning of the video it's a very cold morning in Vermont. Do you find any issues or troubles printing in lower temperatures? I've moved my printer into my kitchen in order to avoid keeping it in the garage during these winter months. But I would much prefer to keep it in the garage, as long as I knew there would be no ill effects from printing in the low temperatures. Do you have any insight?

    • @TheMountainMaker
      @TheMountainMaker  6 дней назад +1

      If my machines were in a non-climate controlled environment, I think I would definitely have more issues. Currently, they are all setup in an insulated and heated garage space so it stays between 66 and 72 in there depending on the time of the year

    Thank you for another great video and for answering my question on the last video. I do have another question, I was looking at your Amazon store and noticed that you are using variations for the large pencil sharpener - do you find that using variations instead of listing each color as a separate item? I am toying with the idea of doing variations instead of each item individually. Just wondered about your thought process (I am selling items I designed myself but they come in about 4 colors).

    It looks like your 3-D printers are out in an uninsulated shop. I am wondering about putting my 3-D printers out in the shop so that I do not have any fumes. What is your experience with the 3-D printers printing and surviving in an non-climate controlled space?

    • @TheMountainMaker
      @TheMountainMaker  7 дней назад

      I’m in a climate controlled and insulated shop space with a mini split unit so it stays at a constant temp year round. I do have a 3rd bay to my shop that is not insulated but that is mainly for storage and woodworking tools
