I thought skyworld died when Zee refused to release the source code for the mod back in 2018, happy to see its still alive. made a lot of friends on the original servers and even got my own trick (Keano Gap) submitted by pharmacist. whoever brought it back, thank you ♥
Awesome video! Thank you for bringing tricksurf into light. Frag, mbsurfer, and the community have been working tirelessly to keep this mode alive and fun. It’s amazing how it’s brought together some of the most skilled surfers I have ever seen, always pushing the limits of what we thought was impossible. Very grateful for everyone involved, they deserve all the love and support.
great vid :) edit - just want to add the hardstyle at the end is so good because the memories of playing skyworld while someone played loud as hell hardstyle over mic are so good
Love your stuff! Could you do an analysis on xdream great river? We spent hundreds or thousands of hours trick and combat surfing on it with dedicated servers in CSS and CS GO. It was the ultimate combat surf map in my opinion but sadly died out.
I'm always excited to see your new videos, they are of great quality and the video editing is original and technical (and not paid for). But I as an old fan of Glimpse must say here with regards to the intro, that the families referred to was neither Flogan's (Morning's) nor Waave's trick families (my bad if you are just referring to the Razor ish Waave tricks and not the Waave Walk ish), they were Glimpse's, and in both cases they were misnamed (edit: by the trick mod). Moreover, in order to interpret the words (thus retrieve information from them), you have to understand the relation between the words, if that makes sense? For example, look at this trick consisting of two words: Pirate Step-Up. It's bad to interpret "Pirate" as "x4 deagle wraps to second deagle ramp through deagle from strafe" in this case because "Step-Up" can very hardly be interpreted as a "rise ish trick ending"
Sorry, I don't really understand what you are saying. At no point the video showed or claimed to show a Waave trick. No trick in the video could be a Glimpse, as they involve a Wrap around Main ramp. I can assure, that nothing was intentionally, for the purpose of fun nor any other reason, been mislabeled. Your second point is a very valid one. Some tricks that carry the Bogroll name do not include the "bogroll sequence" as I labeled them here. Same is true for "Pirate", as you said. However, to not overcomplicate things and bring some structure in the gigantic trick pool, I decided against explaining that and all the tricks that do not fit in either "self-explanatory" or trickfamily with mentioned endings.
@@iDaxen I'm sorry for my poor English. I quote you: "what you are seeing here is one of the hardest tricks that skyworld has to offer along with the hardest variations of Bogroll's, Flogan's, Waave's ...". You are putting "' 's " on the names. Flogan Rise was not Flogan's, it was Glimpse's, and the entire family that was derived from Flogan Rise should therefore correctly have been named "Glimpse + rise ish trick ending". He did it in 2009 as the first person. The misnaming was ofc. just a mistake back then. Since I don't know any variation of Waave as in "Waave to third wedge" that is considered one of the hardest tricks, I assume you referred to the Waave Walk variations. Waave Walk was done by Glimpse in 2010 as the first person
@@iDaxen Oh, I'm sorry to not clarify this better. The misnaming I'm also talking about is about how z's trick mod implemented the tricks, not you. So I understand if you feel like you were led astray w.r.t. that sentence in the introduction of your video. A very understandable mistake!
@@michaelooviera2123 Oh I see. I've worked with the trick.surf database of tricks for this video, that carried most of zee's tricks over, including names. As I was not around in 2009 nor at any other point relevant to naming tricks, and I also do not have any influence or say in the current database, I simply work with how the tricks are named right now. The "hardest things" in combination with naming trick families had the intention to get some recognizable names out there, and ease in to the topic, rather than tell people what the actually hardest tricks are.
@@iDaxen Alright. By the way, it's not that I'm or anyone is dissatisfied with the names in the trick mod. No one ever questioned the legitimacy of the names. I mean Glimpse could just have named them before they were named by Flogan and Waave or made objections, but he did neither. The flaws are just funny and has created something funny to talk about, and Glimpse wouldn't have given a fuck. But that sentence in the introduction appears to infer an ownership relation from those trick names which would be wrong, despite it is a very understandable inference because it would work in 95 % of other cases. But okay, that was not the intention, but "to get some recognizable names out there, and ease in to the topic". Alright, I understand :)!
No, because essentially what Razer, Wooting etc, are currently releasing already is in surf as a bind, they are called nullbinds and are exactly what SOCD is. I have no idea if they are banned on tricksurf, but in skillsurf, nearly everyone uses them
Production value is insane, amazing work! Was a pleasure to watch
always impressed by the amount of effort you put into these videos, well done :)

insane video
how are t9 maps validated? tas?
how did you make the visualization at the end? with the multiple lines? I am dying to make something similar
I imported the map and player camera data into Blender. I made a vid a while back on it: ruclips.net/video/eA_2T3GkCjY/видео.html
