Alex, it’s great seeing someone talk about the X-Pro3. In my not so humble opinion it’s the BEST camera for photography Fujifilm has ever made. The screen issue, when it’s working properly, is a non-issue to me. Like you, it would be if they made the X-Pro4 without a rear LCD at all and only have the sub-panel. The X-Pro3 is the only Fujifilm camera I still own and although I’ve tried selling it, I can’t seem to get rid of it. But my X-Pro3 is essentially a Leica CL / M-D because neither my LCD or sub-panel work anymore but everything else does. This is what happens when you’re shooting in the backwoods of Puerto Rico and fall into salt water with camera in hand. 😂 I got tired of waiting for the X-Pro4 so I bought the Nikon Zf instead and I LOVE that camera. It along with my Leica M10-R make for the perfect street kit for me only using M mount lenses and a few vintage Minolta lenses. My X-Pro3 is paired with the Sigma 18-50mm f2.8. It’s lightweight and renders perfectly on the X-Pro3. Happy Shooting.
Love this series. I would love to have you pick what you think is the single best image from each camera’s session and rank them. Does the camera even matter?
of course it can. it's THE street photography Fuji. Some in my area called it Fuji X-Pro D because of the screen (or lack thereof). with AF lens, it's like a Contax G with manual (M are the best) lens, it's a Leica hybrid
Rico! Nice to see you here! I was in a photo workshop with Taylor, and we got some beers and wandered around Shibuya in March (went to the Portland bar haha). It was great meeting you and chatting about street photography and life in Japan. As far as the camera, it is not perfect but I think Alex is being overly harsh on this one. I love how Fuji bucked so many trends on the X-Pro3 to create something so street-focused. Plus it's a beautiful object of design. Anyway, this is a fun series, keep it up!
**Leaf shutter in the lens *** is what is needed for the Panasonic S9 or the Sigma fp that would make those no-flash rolling limited cameras totally fabulous.
I agree with your comments on removing the screen! I haven't shot digital all year, but if I did start again I think I would trade in my XT2 towards an X Pro 3. I would like to keep the screen closed and just see the film sim. I take one shot and go, slow and methodical like when I shoot film. The screen is just a distraction!
I have the xpro3 and I agree with all the points. Would be awesome for the possible xpro4 to become a real rangefinder to utilize manual focus more. Would also be awesome to have different options for the view finder for different focal lengths. Still an amazing and most important very fun to use camera!
I think they should make the screen an optional module, so you can switch between different styles. The screen is always what people love or hate on these cameras. Also if it brakes you could easily replace it. And Alex could leave the screen at home (or replace with monochrome display for settings)
there is no weather sealing (gasket) on the Viltox lens... but given the price the lens, thats not really something that i would mark as a con. Otherwise its a really nice small and cheap lens imo.. definately better optically then the previous 1.4 version from viltrox. I just printed myself a nicer hood (modelled after the square hood of my xf35 1.4) 😄
@@thedarkslide There is at least a slight correlation between the recent release of the Leica M11-D and the wish to have a Fuji with similar functionality for a quarter of the price 😉😅
Enjoying this series , but have to disagree on the ranking , it's a def an A , you are def nit picking ;) My dream update to this camera would be giving it a full frame sensor and perhaps ibis if it didn't impact the overall size . No screen , really ?!?

I’m with you on the display going. If you’re gonna go radical with a design choice, go all the way like the Leica M-D system

Great shots ! I just got myself a second hand xpro1 and really enjoying the heck out of it !
XPro 1 Can it Street coming soon. ;)
@@AlexOnStreets looking forward !

Lense price will be astronomical for those cheap cameras if they do that. Look at Hasselblad lenses.

I for one agree with you!
I've owned this camera three separate times.

Wish I could disagree with you, but Fuji will continue to play it safe and make the big bucks. It's all about that cheddar, baby!

This would be amazing!
Happy when you upload❤
Some IBIS, a case that hides the screen, and a manually focusable lens from Fuji (not by wire) and that would be S tier for me.
Fuji even had a snap focus system with the XF10, like with the GR models. No idea why they never further developed that feature.
So good

Alright new video!!!!
Geiler Typ
Fuji, Plesae build the camera upgrades Alex discribes here!!!
So, essentially you want this camera to be a Leica M-D with leaf shutter lenses. Got it. :)

I also think he’s nitpicking because he already knows the camera 😅 For me it’s also an A for street.
@dbugatto Fuji clearly is leaning into the APSC and Medium format market. They’ve been doing it for years.
