A useful summary. Thanks. However, this video has fallen prey to the standard uploader error --- the repetitive background noise is too loud and too distracting. Subliminal levels are optimal.
Ok now yes it is pretty accurate but one major mistake. WW1 does not officially end until the treaty of Versailles because it was an armistice not a peace treaty. Fighting was not officially over until the treaty of Versailles in 1919 and yes the main ww1 fronts were done but there was still fighting in Russia Poland and even Romania who had signed a peace treaty with Germany. Plus political violence led to military crack down in Germany plus the armistice was only meant to last for 36 days but constantly renewed until Versailles.
Ottoman empire was not fighting the greeks. They accepted the peace deal. It was the national movement in anatolia first seperate then united by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
6:49 okay man this is wild. The map of poland is so inacurate that it blows my mind. Just check what you have done wrong by searching 1920 or 1936 Poland borders
Interesting Video, one little think, the Germans actually invaded the rest of Czechia and make Slowakia a Pupped in March 1939 before the war started. You only mentioned the Sudetenland that they annexed in 1938
After WWII , Germany was severely punished but Italy and Japan not so much . Anyone ever think why that was ? And I think that Japan's war in China in the 1930's was the real start of WW II .
Germany wasn't severely punished after the war, they brought the destruction on to themselves by not throwing in the towel soon enough. What West Germany got after the war was long term economic growth and boom, unlike after WW1 where the economic prosperity was short lived. Stalin did proposed for a united but neutral Germany but this was rejected for good reasons as the Soviets would've definitely backed up a communist take over just as they did with the rest of eastern Europe as they advanced. If you think what Germany got after the war was severe then I recommend you look up the Morgenthau plan, which the plan was basically the genocide of Germans in disguise, thankfully FDR and Churchill were wise enough to know that it's just plain unethical, especially it would confirm the Nazi propaganda to the German population that the allies were set out to destroy them. Italy was spared of severe punishment because they were really not much of a threat and we're just a complete joke in North Africa and Greece. They couldn't have the success they had in the war if weren't for German support. Japan wasn't severely punished because the USA and the allies did not want a repeat of what happened with Germany after WW1, extremism and resentment rising and just causing new chaos in the future, it would also confirm the propaganda the Imperial government had instilled on the population where the American forces would just ruthlessly massacre them all to extinction. Lastly, the US saw potential in Japan as a strategic ally against the spread of communism, which is why not many of the leaders were punished with the war crimes they committed as they should have (same goes for when they allowed high ranking ex-Nazis in the west German government), alienating Japan would also have possibly led the country into the Soviet sphere as the Japanese communist party was gaining approval during the occupation.
I’m guessing that you were disappointed with Harry Kane and his performance at Bayern last season and are ignoring me because of that, I understand your frustration but you should try and support the club Tranmere Rovers for a few decades and I promise you will understand the sincere definition of the word Frustration. 🏴⚽️
It is not quite accurate to call the Spanish Republicans "communists". They were a democracy, and the Republicans were a wide coalition of anti elitist groups that included communists
Not really, most of the Republicans were communists and socialists and most who weren't were even more extreme, they rigged the elections and created a rigged democratic system to he exploited by them
14:43 Here you say correctly that Fascists and Republicans stand against each other. The Republicans were not only communists though. And the anarchists you completely left out. I know it‘s supposed to be short, but it shouldn‘t be wrong.
Holodomor in Ukraine was horrible but wasn't genocide. It happend in all grain producing republics, and wasn't targeted on Ukrainian people. It happend because of Stalin's order to produce more grain, because USSR could only trade wood, grain and produce with west.
"20 year truce" Scary how accurate that is in hindsight.
Yeah but his plan would have made it even worse.
Hitler probably used it as a timeline
just like the republican party winning election taking isolation approach telling EU to fend for themselves and pay debts

Even worse are some inaccuracies, e.g. 2:05 “… a new war of 1875“. 1870/71 would be correct.
Irrelevant to my comment.@@RayyMusik

And in general he didn't talk too much about Poland which is wrong because polish history from that time period is awesome.
@@michadomeracki5910 Poland is almost always awesome.
I was abt to comment that
Thanks , but the stupid and unnessesary music for 18 minutes its brutal and torcherous ! Etc...
Churchill resigned? He lost a general election in 1945, re-elected in 1951 then resigned In 1955.
Nice Vid... always visually appealing. The bazillions of conflicts that 'bookended' the world wars kinda are often just as interesting.
amazing art to go along with a barely touched on topic i love it this video is everything id want from a channel doing history im a fan
We're glad you liked i)
Its not Deusch-Mark, the currency was ReichsMark

Hvorfor har du gjort Danmark så lille og uden Bornholm ?
The typo of Geneva is terrible
So painful, and it kept coming back 😵
No lame trap beat in the background of history videos next time. Otherwise nice and informative👍

No one knows what these politicians were thinking 80 years ago. They had way different ideologies

Well, Japan had suffered horribly bcs of the bombs and weren’t they also required to demilitarize?
Very good video again.
I hope "never again" stays in our hearts this time.
Poor quality history video. Thumbs down for inaccuracy and old rubbish propaganda.
Bro the map of Poland is wrong

Man, this video was pretty interesting, Keep the good work up!
The border between Germany and Denmark remains throughout, fixed at the pre-1918 position!
Where’s Bayern in your map of the Weimar Republic??

No mention of the Chanak Crisis on British-Canadian relations and what that could mean in any future war in Europe.

Pet peeve - when people (or AI?) refer to historical events in the present tense, then switch back to past tense. Confusing.
You also forgot to mention that Czechoslovakia had aliance with west and nobody helped.
Is this bad ai?
1919. whole Latvia is free from russia, why are you showing wrong map?
What about the rest of the baltics? 😂
Would be nice to have the sources, because there are a lot of BS discreetly mixed in there.

17:10 Nope. Hirohito was not an imperialist. He was against the war but Hideki Tojo and consorts forced his hands into supporting them.
