The Great Turkish War: The Holy League Against the Ottomans
The Great Turkish War is not without a reason remembered as the Last Crusade. This war against the Ottoman Empire, which had been going on for far more than a century, briefly united Europe in the desire to quench the Ottomans' appetite for conquest. And although there were enough Ottoman allies in Europe, such as Emeric Thököly of Hungary, who actively opposed the Habsburg rule, this did not overcome the power of the Holy League, which methodically weakened the Ottoman Empire on several fronts.
This war is remembered for many events. It was here that the famous Battle of Vienna, the Second Battle of Mohács and the Battle of Zenta took place. In this video, we will tell in detail about all...

Anglo-Spanish War: How the English Defeated the Spanish Armada
Просмотров 39 тыс.Месяц назад
The Anglo-Spanish War of the 16th century at sea began for many reasons. In addition to the desire to dominate in both Europe and the New World, Protestant England and Catholic Spain did not share religious views. All this led to the fact that the Spaniards assembled the famous Invincible Spanish Armada with the aim of invading England. However, the Armada became famous only because the English...

Bullshit, the so called Holy League was another self interested attempt by the Habsburgs and Polish to conquer lands, otherwise they wouldn't have assassinated Michael the Brave in 1601 after he along beat the turks into submission and united the 3 Romanian Principalities under one rule. The siege of Vienna of 1683 wouldn't have happened if the turks wouldn't be near it, and the Poles got what was coming to them later at the hands of their allies for playing kingmaker in Moldavia against Michael.

Fact: Otoman Court informed Emperour Leopold of the overtures made by the conspirators(of the Magnate plot) who were for aid for their coup attempt and for that aim were willing to give Hungary to them(in essence a transfer of who was in charge). That helped confirm suspictions that something was in way of happening. Otomans informed the Habsburgs due they were at the time not eager to go to War.

Natives learned European "Tactics"? can you even call ling up to get gunned down a Tactic? LOL, Native used similar tactics too what's known today as Gorilla warfare, the foundation for modern warfare. They took cover, would shoot retreat reposition and shoot more, hold the high ground & cover, use small groups of warriors to flank & so on... Europeans learned how to fight from Natives... Hard to take these videos seriously when there's glaring mischaracterization straight away in the beginning of the video. Probably not gonna watch this whole things after that blunder of a "History Lesson" So you might mention this but i highly doubt it. The Constitution/founding document, was based on Native government. The document held in such high esteem by white people.... & think it was fully of their own creation.

my question is how did it take that f*cking long? like 69 failed crusades and a couple million dead hungarians later, they finally get a decisive win, and even that was a close one. had the hussars not come, austria most likely would have to give up (at least) its hungarian lands, if not more border territories, or even have itself be dismantled and turned into a turkish protectorate

Être fort comme un Turc (‘to be strong like a turk’): This expression originates in the 15th century when the Turks had a reputation for being strong, almost unbeatable warriors due to their numerous victories. At the time, the Ottoman Empire ruled large parts of south-east Europe, north Africa and western Asia. It is said that François I, King of France, was gifted Turkish armour by Suleiman the Magnificent (the tenth and most famous sultan of the Ottoman Empire) during their alliance. When he wore it, he is said to have exclaimed: “Here I am now, strong as a Turk!”.

As an Englishman i admit that France humiliated us throughout history. As much as people don’t want to admit it the Normans were totally French and French was the languages of our royals and english was for the peasants for a long time. Even today i am reminded of french rule with all my energy bills going to France. It is hard to swallow but i admit we have been a French colony since 1066. With our energy crises our reliance on France will only grow and people will start to again realise these facts.
