Great video. You covered a lot of ground and got similar trigger pull weights as I did on mine. I didn’t expect those results with the SK. Thanks for trying it out. Those wood grips look good too.

Good video. Love the passion. I happened to have an allen wrench because my red dot used the same size. I had the same issue where it wouldn't eject, regardless of what brand I fired. They were stuck after 20 rds. Sent it to Colt and while it's better now, it's still not great. After about 50 rds I have to strike the ejector with my palm to get them out. Will see if polishing will help. Love HRV grips, have them on a Walther PPKs I own. But man are they EXPENSIVE. Went with a nice walnut/croc back set from Altamont. Nice but not on HRV level where you can't customize the way you did.

Now that was a exciting video! I really like the Cobra in 22 L.R. but have no located the .22 as yet , however I did have an opportunity for a .357. So I ve get that in the Python an Kimber K6 Target. Now the Python 3 inch is also a beautiful revolver but on the Wilson channel I get news about the rear sight not being well done asin coming out of adjustment and they recommended a Wilson rear sight replacement 💰oh yeah get out the wallet . So I bought the Wilson rear combat and a front Gold. Bead front sight. Then from Altamont Grips aSuper Rosewood Snakeskin pattern with Colt medallion and Rampant Colt inlays and it just looks fantastic. And I have to say you can't go wrong with Wilson parts and great customer service also. Sure do enjoy your channel and thanks for sharing your knowledge of firearms and the good life 🙏🇺🇸💪

Concerning the stuck cases, I deal with that by wrapping a piece of Scotch Brite pad on an old bore brush. It is easier with big-bore revolvers, but is still possible with a 22. I have a S&W 617 that I cleaned up that way and it ejects spent cases easily now. Try that and see if it fixes that issue.

Good review! I’ve been looking for the new 6” version of this same revolver. Like you I question Colt’s decision to put the rubber grip on this otherwise fine firearm. Do you know if the wood grip from the King Cobra Target (.357 magnum) would fit this gun? Funny enough I took those same grips off mine and replaced with the rubber grip, felt the wood grip on that model is horrible for the recoil, makes the gun feel like it wants to flip backward out of my hand.

Great review. Yeh. I'm a guitar player (62+ years) not a shooter. But when I saw this with that "handle" as I call it, I went, "What for? Aren't those for big kick guns?" And how does this compare to the S&W .22 magnum?

Thank you I love your videos always! I just purchased this revolver in a 6 inch and it’s the only one I intend to shoot regularly in some one hand competition. So the rubber grip is not beautiful. However, I enjoy using it vs the wood grips.

According to what I've read, SK Pistol Match Special (PMS) is the same ammo as SK Long Range Match (LRM). The best accuracy is marked LRM. I think Biathlon is second best accuracy (I have no experience with Biathlon). Third best accuracy is PMS. These are faster velocity ammos than SK Standard Plus and Rifle Match. When I shoot long-range rifle matches (out to 200 yards or meters, depending on the range holding the match) I use PMS out to 100 yards and LRM at further distances. LRM has a better accuracy in my CZ 457 at the longer distances. That combo works great for me hitting small steel targets out at distance. Sorry, not revolver specific but I just wanted to clarify the PMS,

While that's a nice looking revolver, Colt cheaped out on the hammer spur and - especially - the rear sight. The spur should be knurled and the rear sight deserves to be an Elliason like they used to put on the Match Target Woodsman. Otherwise it's very nice.

    GOOD NEWS!!!
Be glad that the SK Pistol Match stuck in the cylinder!!
The accuracy of a 22LR is TOTALLY dependent on the tightness of the chamber!!
    I owned S&W 617, 17.(6” both) 64, and 34. I’ve shot Ruger Single 6 target and Colt Diamondback 22LR
I got rid of all my 22LR revolvers why THEY WERE NOT ACCURATE!! The Colt you have did appear to be reasonably accurate.
22LR THE AUTOS ARE MORE ACCURATE!! All shots are using the same chamber!
    I now have Ruger MKII 5.5” & 6.5” HB SS Match and a S&W M-41.
Your tight chamber gave you OK accuracy.
The best 22LR hand guns under $1000 the Ruger MKIV. It’ll out shoot your Colt Cobra!!

Colt should use a better factory rear sight. They should include a front t bead and red ramp sight with the revolver. The grip should have a stock pin like older Colts, and last, the revolver should come with wood stocks. Until these things gs are done, I consider the revolver unacceptable

    • @Dayattherange
      @Dayattherange  6 месяцев назад

Thank you for the tip I think I will try it and see. It must be really soft because sk pistol match special is supposed to be lower velocity so I thought lower pressure.
