Today I go over the most popular Camino de Santiago routes. Historically, pilgrims set out from their local church or simply their doorstep. This created over time a network of routes leading to Santiago de Compostela. They became much better marked and distinct the closer to the city, so the most popular routes now start in different regions of Spain.
