I actually like this car and admire it *_for what it is._* This car gets you where you need/want to go safely, comfortably, reliably, and efficiently. The Prius does exactly what it was designed to do, and it does it very well.
I don't get people that say "It's not fast!" or "I'd rather walk..." or "I'd be embarrassed to drive that." Why?? Are you getting a car for *YOU,* or are you getting a car to impress your friends?

Sure, I like sports cars, exotic super cars, even normal cars; But for what the Prius is designed for, I like it too.
The Prius for its appliance-like dullness at least has character. Its a unique driving experience and it accomplishes its goal well. I'd much rather drive a prius than any of these generic crossovers.

Don't listen to these haters, a car's a car and the Prius does a great job of doing things.
That's what I mean. I myself own the Ford Focus Electric and love it. It saves me money, I get a nice drive, and obviously I get to go places easily. A car is a car after all, we aren't race car drivers after all.

I love the car, not because I want to protect the environment, but because I just like how the engine and the e-battery are combined. I also don't care what anyone says, I LOVE IT!

Y'know my moms 2015 Corolla which is rated for 28 city averages about 22 where I live because of just sitting at red lights for 8/10 of your commute. A car like this makes damn good sense with how spacious and reliable it is on top of easily getting over 50 city.

You little kids don't realize the importance of this car. If it wasn't by this, we wouldn't have any of the hybrid supercars of today. The Prius isn't meant to be a sports/fun car. Hell, at first I thought it shouldn't even be classified as a car. It's a rolling computer with 2 engines and 4 wheels. Now every brand NEEDS a hybrid in its lineup.

That's exactly why I bought my 2003 1st gen Prius! It's essentially a PC on wheels, and its an awesome little fuel-efficient car! To all the haters who say the Prius is slow, 253 lb-ft of torque (that's more than an '03 Acura TL-S) is not too shabby, especially when it's available right at 0 rpm. To those who say "the Prius isn't fun", watching the delightfully early-2000s displays and hypermiling is kind of fun, and so is punching it and feeling the instant torque.

Prius is number one for me. Its very reliable,comfortable,smooth,power full, and great gas milage. Before I get prius I don't like the style and the concept of hybrid car but after I tried it all car should be hybrid this time I am done driving unhybrid car anymore its westing money

Little do people know the Prius has is quality engineered with a drag coefficent of .25 which is less than a Nissan GTR. This car gets such a bad rap but who knows what the state of our atmosphere is going to be by 2030..

This is not a car from them, not everyone wants a performance car which tend be expensive to run and maintain even though they are BLAST to drive. This car is for people want something that is low mantainence, comfortable, roomy and get great joy out of get the most mpg.
I am a big car enthusiast.... I love lamborghinis and amgs and stuff but honestly, I genuinely love Prius(s) a lot!! it is one of the most practical cars I have seen in my life... Low running cost, good fuel efficiency and decent space. All I think is that Toyota could had improved their dashboard design, which they did in the 2017 model

@@WuBloodKin09 Seriously, sometimes it's more than just the peer pressure. Being made fun of constantly for something can really stress you out and reduce your performance in both school and life in general. Not only that, but I live in a highly anti-ecofriendly area where I am likely to be coal rolled or have my car vandalized if I were to drive a Prius.
It's actually pretty cool. If you're a good driver the 3rd and 4 the gen handle pretty well on curvy roads. I out drove a Veloster in mine.

The Prius is not THE WORST car you can drive. Ever drove a chevy cobalt, mitsubishi mirage, nissan versa, dodge avenger/chrysler sebring/200? Those are absolutely horrible.
2007-2014. The current 200 is good, the previous one is something to be ashamed of driving.

Nothing is definitively ugly, It is all personal preference. Personally, I don't find it that ugly. Either way though, It's not meant to look pretty. It has the best aerodynamics without the high price of aerodynamic cars because they didn't have to put as much thought into appeareace. I appreciate that, I want to use my car for practical purposes. Not brag about it. If it does everything that it needs to do, while being VERY cheap on gas, having very low maintenance, and lasting 300k miles. I'm in for it!

I bought a used gen 3 prius, for almost nothing, use it as my beater daily driver, pro's low maintenance and efficiency, everything else meh, however It does give me a good reason to buy another car for the weekend warrior!
Finally! I was looking for a car that was very track oriented and scared the competition. This car must be dropping at least 500BPH. All plastic and cloth for weight reduction!

I have this model Prius, I use it daily to deliver meals to home bound seniors . I drive from 200 to 300 miles a week winter and summer . My average MPG over the years is 42 plus . It is supposed to get better mileage in town but my stops are very close together . It gets even better with normal city driving. I have 1017,000 miles . Just replaced 12 volt batterie . The batterie checked ok but Some time the car wouldn't give me a ready light ( no shift ) took months to find the problem. I wasn't getting full voltage at start. The computer must see something like 13.5 volts before it will allow you to shift. Dealer didn't know this. Replaced batterie and all is well for the last month.
You will never get 13.5 volts on at 12v battery when the engine isn't running.

@@michaelstefanyk5532 it runs on gasoline and electricity the electricity is provided by a larger battery which is charged by the gas engine and regenerative braking at low speeds the electric motors will move the car instead of the gas engine in the 3rd generation and onwards the Prius did get a full electric mode feature but it only goes up to about 30mph or so.
So how much gasoline do you use? Like do you put gas once a month.

I really want to buy this one. But this choice for gear stick is just something that bothers me. I can see and understand why it makes peeping sound while on Reverse, but what I don't understand is why it is not like typical automatic stick that locks in place?
