The ToD jacket is cool. The story behind it, makes it magical.
Years ago, I was buying a used Todd's shirt from the Indygear forum. I don't remember what exactly happened, but this was around 2009. Payment didn't go through or something (I definitely had the money, wasn't trying anything). Instead of trying again he just told me " You know, I know people are hurting right now, but life has been kind and I've been blessed. I want to just give this shirt to you." I was very moved. This community is amazing sometimes. I wish I'd stayed more involved.

I finally ordered a per-distressed Raiders jacket from Wested. It arrived last week and it's just perfect. Love it. Quality and fit are astounding.

Pretty sick Jacket Collection that you have there. I have three Wested Leather Indiana Jones jackets currently. Two stock size 44 jackets. One from Raiders and the other from Last Crusade. The other one I just bought is a 42 Raiders Pre Distressed jacket. Which is my favorite by far. Lol
Just got the Wested one and like it ! I do need to bring it to tailor to have it adjusted because its, yes snug, but I could be tighter. A mix between the Wested and the first one you showed would be a dream for me ! Can't wait to see how it's going to fit after retouching.
Great video and great jackets! That was a wonderful story about your friends and I’ve been in the same spot as far as rough patches and the people around you make all the difference. On a second note, I read somewhere or saw an interview about one of the Indy jackets had a compartment on the back for his whip, I’m not sure if that was even used or not but it would be pretty cool and explain how it was always around! Do you know anything about that part of the jacket?
You can get side straps fixed at tailors specializing in sewing leather. Maybe even shoemaker would resew you straps for pretty cheap.

Obviously that fedora looks great but I think you definitely need a Grey Clipper or two. My second Fed IV in Moonstone is that for me and it may be even more versatile than the brown one!

I noticed the buckles used on the Raiders Legacy Jacket are the “two pronged” buckles which is incorrect for the Raiders jacket. If I’m correct those specific buckles were only used on the Temple of Doom jacket
The two pronged buckles were found on both the original Raiders and Temple jackets and are correct for both in replica form.
I live just down the road from Wested Leather. Pre-covid they actually had a store that you could visit.
I recently purchased the Indy gas mask bag, but in pre-stressed leather. I’ve got to say, the quality is insane.
Their jackets are incredible value considering they are made by the company who made the original jacket for Harrison Ford.

I met Trent during the start of Covid, and he helped me discover Wested Leather, as well as helped me not only decide on my first jacket from them but also helped me with my measurements for the Hero jacket!!! The Pre-Distressed Last Crusade jacket is my FAVORITE of the three I've owned! (I bought a Lambskin Last Crusade from my buddy and fellow Indy Cosplayer Brent and then I actually sold it and picked up the Last Crusade Legacy jacket) I absolutely love the Indy jackets but the Cowhide is in a league all it's own bro!! Also, when I ordered the Cowhide jacket I saw that (at the time of ordering) they offered a dark brown Satin liner,. Turns out it was limited edition!!!!! I told Trent and he was speechless!!! BWAAAAAAAHAAAAHAAAAAHAAAAAA!!!!! Fortune and Glory bro, Fortune and Glory...............

I'm looking at getting a Wested legacy Last Crusade jacket. I'm still so torn on the leather though. I love the look of your tod Wested jacket. That's the perfect color and drape to me. Do you know what version of lamb it is. Only thing that makes me hesitate on getting the Wested LC legacy jacket is that it looks amazing the way they have it distressed. Wish you could buy it that way. I like the soft looking finish on your jacket. I can't stand a shiny looking hide. Wish I could ask for that same skin.
Unfortunately I do not know the skin type. However the Wested Legacy LC is a good jacket. Lambskin is always a good choice, though if you want a robust and tank like jacket horse or cowhide is always an option. There are Also some fantastic Indy cosplay pages on Facebook where you can ask these same questions and get far more accurate and in my opinion, stronger recommendations. I hope in the end however that your LC jacket is exactly what you're hoping for.
@@NathanSmithFinley Thank you! I currently have a Steele & Jones cow hide Crystal Skull jacket that's amazing. The color is quite dark though and has a bit more of a medium sheen that gives it a squeaky sound while moving sometimes. Other than that it's a perfect fit and I really enjoy it.
I’m currently thinking about picking up a Pre Distressed Last Crusade jacket since I’d like to get a battle damaged style jacket like that as well. But there are some other great Indy jacket creators out there too. lol
Absolutely! Like Steele and Jones and Bill Kelso. And at some point in the future I would love to get my hands on both.
@@NathanSmithFinley Yeah man I love my Wested Leather jackets. I couldn’t have asked for anything better since they are made by the company who produced them for the films. Which is why I mostly buy Wested’s products. The past couple of Winters here in Minnesota. Any excuse I got to wear my Indy jacket I did. Lol

Where do u get the screen accurate hat?
The maker is named Jason of Fedoraiders. Jason only makes the hats for himself and every so often will sell some of his older builds. I bought this second hand off a fellow Indy cosplayer.
Was the eBay seller the original owner? If not, I think this used to be my jacket that I originally sold on eBay quite a few years back. 😳
That would be quite crazy interesting if so! I don't recall of the seller had claimed ownership or not.

Where do you even find a Cooper Sportswear jacket?
Ebay find, they show up very frequently. Though in weird sizing. Nine times outta ten its a Medium.

@@logandavis4719 Well of Leather Bullwhips quality does come at a price, however a great budget friendly option is either Swordguybuilds or Eliason Whip Co. They tend to have some great options in both leather and nylon. Check out my video on my SwordGuyBuilds Young Indy whip to see Torrance's work.
@@NathanSmithFinley will do! If anything I might just buy a cheap whip to hang from the belt and then gradually save for one worth cracking.

What generation is that USW jacket? Usually they come with the straps the correct orientation, though in the new film it seems the jacket is going to have the straps that way. They're not the most screen accurate, but they're durable as hell and traditionally were the best bang for the buck if durability was your main concern. I just wish they'd bring back the Legend pattern or even the Signature. Their new design is way too long and has a few other things about it that makes it look cheap. But that Cooper is nice as well, especially considering how rare they are from that era -- I remember those days and that whole run coinciding with LC was a disaster. But USW is putting those Coopers out again and they seem to be a little more accurate in dimensions.
From what I can tell it's either from the late 90's or early 2000's as the liner is one that isn't offered anymore with their bomber/Indy jackets. U.S.Wings does make fantastically durable jackets and they are very much worth the money, especially the older models. Thank you for the heads up on the strap orientation correction with newer jackets.
@@NathanSmithFinley I wonder if it's a Legend pattern. It's certainly got a roughly screen accurate body length. I know me and a ton of people at COW and other places have been bugging USW to bring back the Legend pattern, which they haven't made in probably 10 years but they're pretty resistant to making it again. You can look in one of the pockets and there should be a tag with the serial number on it that you can email to Sarge at USW and he'll tell you the model and year it was made.
