My (Made in Indonesia -2020) LTD EC-256 looks, feels and sounds incredible especially considering its price point. Mind you, I did upgrade the bridge humbucker to Seymour Duncan Invader. The neck PU remains original as I actually like the way it sounds. It inspires me to play more than any other guitar I have owned.
I bought mine used for 180 euros in flawless shape, the black cherry satin one. It's a really versatile, great guitar and you're able to play many different music genres. It really is for everyone.
I will get the Black Satin myself for Christmas :) ESP Guitars are perfect for Rock and Metal.. but also for other musical Styles... which makes this guitar pretty versatile.

Great review, I just bought the ESP LTD EC-201 as my first guitar after watching this video, I am a simple man, I just need one pick em up and 1 knob, I petted the EC-256 at Guitar Center and it felt really nice
i get mine around 10 years ago , since this day i had and still have some really cool guitar like esp horizon jackson rand rhoades and stuff.... but i still got , and love that 256 , i got it with the vintage gold finish , with a couple duncan pu , and its a killer ! one of the best guitar you buy for that ridiculous price !
These are great guitars. Seems like everyone associates Esp/Ltd with metal but they can do WAY more than metal. I'd pick an Ltd over an Epiphone, any day!
LTds have been known for delivering great quality for reasonable price points..easily a no brainer for rock / hard rock… go ahead… for metal u might wanna consider a suitable pedal depending on your taste
Sorry to ask but how do you actually get the guitar to sound like it did at the end? I am a beginner looking to buy my first ever guitar and I came around one I really love but I still dont know much
He switched from a "clean"" channel to a "dirty" channel on the amp. Turned up the gain and/or maybe had a distortion pedal hooked up. My advice, get an Orange Crush amp. Super simple and analog for beginners but has great variety of tones. Rock on!
I've got this guitar for more than 3 months. I've owned 2 Gibsons and I can tell, that this guitar is great. Yes, this guitar is Made In China, but WTF? Should I pay 10 times as much for the logo and all the hype associated with that logo? No, I don't want to! In my opiniom anything from Gibson coming close to this chinese guitar will cost at least 2000 USD. Even with all upgrades I've made (Seymour Duncan pickups, Gotoh locking tuners) this guitar is much better and much CHEAPER(!) than average, and Very EXPENSIVE all American made guitar. And NO, american made guitars are NO MORE best in the World. You, Gibsons and Fender afficionados have no choice, but to admit that USA is no longer nr1 in guitar industry.
@@mcshreddy no they do, every guitar company atleast today has atleast one factory in China, even Gibson and Fender have one. Ibanez, Jackson, ESP etc all have one. that wasn't always the case, but as you get in the mid 2000's more companies started adding more budget lines. that doesn't make it a bad thing, as guitar prices keep going up across all companies not just Gibson and Fender as this person thinks, you need something at the lower range that people can afford. by going to China, they can still build solid guitars at a lower price. now the guitar in this video is like mid price, so im a guess the EC 256 is made in Indonesia. the quality there is usually a little higher than in China, but in recent years especially since 2020, we been seeing some pretty nice quality come out of China.
Hey !would you suggest EC 256 over a Cort CR 250/200 (hanging right behind you lol )? I’m planning to buy my first les Paul and thinking of these two. There’s a 100 $ price difference in the two where I live. Would paying that extra 100 be justified ?
I’m thinking this guitar in transparent cobalt blue, or fender player Stratocaster in silver. I don’t know!! Any ideas? (I really want the whammy bar though)
J'ai actuellement cette LG qui s'avère avoir un son assez puissant que j'adore🖤 Cependant je trouve le manche trop arrondi et la guitare in peu grosse et lourde pour moi. Une idée de guitare assez similaire mais plus petite et légère? Merci d'avance
I'm hoping you meant "LP", as in Les Paul, otherwise I'm not sure what the "LG" is. The LTD EC-1000s is a very nice guitar that weighs only 7-1/2 pounds, and has a smaller neck profile. The Paul Reed Smith SE Mira and Starla are both under 7 pounds, and sound great. There are also several Gretsch guitars in the Jet series of solidbodies that have slimmer neck profiles than a Les Paul and are lighter in weight. If we can help you make a choice, please call us or chat with us online at our web site, www.mooreguitars.com. Thanks for watching!
Stuck in a dilemma whether if i should get this or not,the reason is because im into rythm and blues and funky kind of music, should i go for this?not a heavy metal fan.Heard from lots of people that Ltd esp are for who are into metal which is why i am confused.
It has Alnico 5 humbuckers, similar to a modern Gibson with a push-pull coil-split on the tone knob, so you can get some funky & bluesy tones out of it.This is basically a modernised Les Paul. They do have some other versions of this, with active pickups though ,which are more geared to rock/metal players, but this model here is great for what you´re looking for.
@@jayjay378378 I have to correct myself! The one I played in the video has a gloss neck. It sold quickly. The Black EC-256 we have in stock now is all satin finish. Sorry for my mistake. Should have watched my own video before I answered. LOL.
