Good vid, but an easy way, buy a small fine brush (kindof like the ones used to paint corners of interior walls) the fibers will go deep enough to scrub the fins and knock the dust loose, take your time on both sides and use a vaccume to catch the rest. This way you avoid breaking anything. I did it two days ago, fan looks brand new.

Oh thank god, I don’t have to mess with the wires! I’d never have cleaned my fan if I hadn’t found out the wires can stay in.
Thank you that will be easy 🙂
No need to use compressed air just used cotton bud stick to clean fan no need to remove fan to clean fan cleaned air vents with cotton bud sticks too
Does it work with ps5 shutting down while playing games?
@@povyar having this issue rn you ever fix it??
@@beanaboy903 Did you ever find how how to fix that because i’m having the same issue now
@@ChristianHernandez-or9ts yes I needed compressed air, his way works but it didn’t last long also make sure the vents are pointing to open air
Whose idea was it to put T9 screws in bro 🙄
Frr
There same as Xbox so not really a problem I already had tools
They’re mad bro. i’m getting my screwdriver 🪛 today.
I had to go to my local screw shop today for them!
Amazing guide I Just used it earlier today, but I noticed the fan Makes somo noice now that I did not noticed before idk if I did something wrong
It’s means it’s more clean and it’s working as when it was brand new , no worries I saw a video of a guy that repairs stuff he clean it and said if you hear fan makes noise it’s common
Friendly reminder u guys have to use an tamper resistance t9 it has a small hole on top of the t9 bit
T8 tamper resistance also works toooo aha but yh I went through a hassle of realising difference between regular torx screwdrivers and security torx ones
Yesssir it does ✅
I'm planning on doing my first fan clean on my PS4 tomorrow so this is a very helpful video thank you. 👍

@@randaIl I cleaned mine and still doesn't work lol. I think my power supply is broken
Can I use q-tips and clean the fan slowly since I don't have a cloth?
Yes
@UCte_HZcYLkYWifEyPH91x4A there is indeed, I found out how to fix the PS5 overheating on my own... Hmu on Instagram if you need the answer fam👀
I have a problem where I can unscrew the first 2 screws but I can’t unscrew the other 2 as in the screw doesn’t fit in the last 2 , do you maybe know why?
Same
Thank u after months of not playing fortnite I can now play ps5 games by cleaning fan and coil
I would love to do this cus there is a lil bit of visible dust on the fan, but I don’t have the safety tool.
There cheap man on Amazon there like 10$
@@KYAVIAON I know that, but due to circumstances I can’t buy em atm, I have the cash but can’t get them.
Love the video! Quick question, at 2:28 you pop off that curved black piece, what is that called? I got my ps5 used and while taking it apart to clean it I noticed mine is missing that piece on both sides
I wish there had been some warning on how easy it is to damage the fan cables when trying to unplug the fan. Or that you didn’t need to unplug it at all.
Very informative thank you
Very nice demonstration. I'll be following this when I'm cleaning. For someone who plays every day for approx 6-8 hours (morning and after lunch) after what period of time should I be cleaning the fan etc?
I live in an apartment in a tropical climate BTW.
If you have carpets in the room you play in, id say probably once every couple months, or as soon as you see build up on the exterior vents 👍🏻 thats what i do and mine never gets loud
@@burt28273 I bought my PS5 about a year ago. Never cleaned it yet. Still quiet. I'll probably open to clean it when it gives signs.
@@davidtsmith33u cleaned it yet?
@@ayvaann I tried but ended up taking it to a repair guy
@@davidtsmith33 nice
Can you also use a T8 screwdriver? I'm having a hard time finding a T9 for some reason
this video saved me, thank youuuuu!!!
People already cleaning their fans and I still haven’t seen one in a store 😅
There’s this cool new thing called the internet
Tbh ppl still complaining but got mines for a year now. Honestly not hard to get. So many reseller sell it back for desperate $600. Which is a deal cus after tax u still paying near 600 anyways
How about you go get some girls instead
I stayed outside a GameStop for 16 hours to secure mine
@@briangallardo5645 lmao
