This game was a breath of fresh air and I had an absolute blast playing it! I still am. The potential for the future COULD be huge. There's so much from the og granblue fantasy to adapt into a real time 3D action RPG setting. So many characters that could be super fun to play. So many amazing raid bosses with interesting and fun boss mechanics. The infamous IMPOSSIBLE-difficulty. Heck, even Proud+.
Yes, I absolutely got my money's worth. But I-no, WE would like more. I would gladly PAY for more. I was really hoping they would release outfits and skins that we could purchase to show our support for the developers and fund future content. Coping yes, they stated multiple times very clearly that this was never meant to be a live service project, however that doesn't change the fact how much fun and enjoyment we got out of it to warrant wanting more.
Here's hoping we're somehow able to show Cygames that we're not done with Relink!
dude honestly i don't mind buying 5-10$ characters dlc at this point since each characters is just that good of a design imo
this game is breaking the current trend that usually people will rally if a game become a live service but granblue relink make people beg the game to be a live service just so the game has more updates
I have absolutely loved this game and hope for more amazing ways to play this game, more characters, more bosses, raids ect. This game absolutely got me into the franchise and ive started playing Versus Rising because of it. I really hope more will be to come especially with all the voices asking for more.
It's very disappointing that they decided to "kill" Relink. It should have been an ever expanding game similar to Monster Hunter: World etc. At least, it was my hope, which is now crushed.
Is really a waste if they stop update the game, gbf have so many amazing story at late content, hope they put it to relink, let itbe a game to let people can enjoy gbf story in 3d mode

Hope they keep updating still a lot of characters i hoped to see in the action format, content like harder difficulty or a roguelike/ tower mode would be sick for coop. Really enjoyed playing this with friends 100% don't want it to end, i would hands down pay for DLC look at Monster Hunter just copy their model

I got the PS4 Platinum and I will get the PS5 Platinum eventually. I love Relink as much as Monster Hunter and like I do with monster hunter, I would love to support it as much as I can with paid expansions to the actual content and skins.
Lol I love this game but it sold over 1 million copies 100k plus players came back for the first update with only one mission and the most talked about topic on the fans was the hope for proud + I don't know what type of feedback they want more honestly
Not so much feedback as being heard, they want to see if the players want more, they mentioned a couple of times during the stream .

I could definitely see some form of rerelease or big expansion, but a consistent update would be challenging since they pretty much already built the content up to version 1.3 before the release, and cause they never had any intention to make this game a live-service.
But the game does super well with huge sales and active players, so maybe we can expect further support after 1.3. There's still so much that they could add to the game. More raid bosses, more super raid like Lucilius (Beelzebub, Belial, and even Mugen), more Primal fights, more Eternal characters, and adding other most requested characters like the ones from Evokers or Divine Generals.
Also definitely could add some character outfits instead of just color packs. I'm thinking they should just add the "Grand" version for the outfits. The potential for all the new content is HUGE, so i hope they can consider it if there's enough support.

You can play the original Granblue Fantasy freely from any parts of the world. The game is only available in Japan, but they added support for English language since a long time ago and the translation is also surprisingly good.
I really hope there's more content down the line. Imagine a big expansion dropping!
I just started playing GBF relink this month. I didn't even know it was out, but I had been waiting since the first glimpses of the game. It kind of sucks that I'm just getting on the game and everyone else is already at the point where they're like "welp it's kind of over". I really hope the devs come back and add new characters and quests, maybe extend the story line. Idk but I love it
This game for me was definitely a gem and a surprise banger. Gonna send some positive words to the devs. Really jazzed for all these updates but the chance of anything beyond that seems slim. Would be a shame tho cuz it has such a strong foundation to build on and grow the player base. I'll continue to play periodically into the future cuz the gameplay is top notch superb
I would easily buy dlc for this game if it was ever available. I got the plat on ps5. Still playing at over 250 hours. And I'm about to buy it again on steam to start it all over.
I mean them stating it was not a live service game from the get go should have been a clear signal this game was never meant to have a long life. Honestly I was shocked they did ANY new content at all since they weren't approaching it as a Live Service title. They have a foundation for a sequel and I would much rather they did that then try and turn the game in to a Live Service one when it was never designed that way. I mean they could always turn the MP in the next one in to a Live Service game or do a spin off that purely MP and take a similar approach to say MH.
This is a horrible take. Supporting through DLC doesn't mean Live Service. Monster Hunter isn't a Live Service. There are plenty of games like this with free updates and expansions. To want new bosses, characters, quests isn't turning it into a live service because none of this has to be weekly, monthly, or even in the same year. Monster Hunter is a perfect example of this game's format. It has an endgame with new gear and bosses that are added through free updates and DLC which also brings new weapons and gear.

When it came out of Early Access, a lot of people thought that that was it, no more content since the full game had already released... but nope, the devs said that they wanted to keep supporting the game, and they did... and the game support hasn't stop since release, all the while the devs are basically making no money beyond the initial purchase of the game.
I feel the same man, I want this game to flurish even more and bring lots of content, I'm not sure If they were testing the waters just to see If the community's willing to support the game further, but either way, we can agree that we all love GBFR with passion and we want to see It growing bigger and bigger, we waited years for It and It was a massive success in the midst of all those flops, pls, don't let us down Cygames, we appreciate what you delivered but we want the game to stay alive as much as possible
I have been thinking the same i want more stuff just gimme 100 more missions i dont care if they are quakeadile reskins man just lemme play more stufff i want every mission at proud 250 so it feels insane and every moves and sigil matters

imo it sounds like they wanna do more work on the game but haven't gotten the greenlight from upstairs. there's so much more content to get out of relink like the 6 dragons as a raid series or a boss rush style mode would be nice.

I mean, the ‘upstairs’ are right there, they just didn’t plan for a lot. Lucilius is the last Raid in GBF, too and putting in Faa Zero is fine. GBF is pretty much the main game and Relink is a side game.

The game just need a true endgame mode like a Bloody Palace/Infinity/Gauntlet Mode that gives you different gameplay experience every time you play. Other games got something like that to increase replay value and they are not live service games. Relink can do the same.
People beat Luci in less than a min on day 1 by SBA him to death. AI teammate can carry you through the whole Luci fight with just 1 HP. Put FoF and Nimble Onslaught on any character then any fight becomes a joke. Unless they fundamentally change how these things work, the game is always going to be easy. Not really against harder content, but I don't want to see the difficulty of the game get to a point that FoF becomes mandatory for everyone.
I know the game aint live service or whatever, or nothing is set in stone. But again with a world as big as this ip, ending it here feels off, like undercutting its full potential. I know its a full story and what not, but with the amount of content granblue has based on its mobile game and bringing to life the other characters they had (its been 10 years of content), its a walking gold mine.
I hope they consider delving into that further, whether its dlc or even some content every couple months like a monster hunter. Maybe they can be persuaded a tad

So Chaotik, have you heard about what happened in Aether Gazer CN? I felt really sad and I'm actually still angry about that. They were so excited to show us those skins and animations (I watched the livestream) and now it just went poof.
Yeah, in CN. None of that matters to us because we will most likely still get them. It's most likely best to stop worrying about controversy for games in China because they most likely won't carry over to Global.

The issue isn't the Game per se but the actual Market conditions.
Accessibility, sustainability, maintaining, and just alot of overheads overall.
The Video Game industry as a whole needs to change in order for it to be profitable and practical etc.
Like releasing a new set of raids once per year would also work instead of once per quarter, since Relink would end up as a "side project" while they can focus on other things.
As DLC's I don't think people would buy it all the time, but as yearly expansion passes, it could rejuvenate the game and matchmaking every year etc.
So, how do you explain Monster Hunter World? The Division ( which is a fraction of what it once was but continues to deliver updates). The market doesn't need to change for it to be profitable because they made their profit from the initial purchase and making a $20 DLC ever so often would only help. People didn't think this game would be as big as it was and it even went against giants like Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and Persona, yet it achieved 1 million copies in 11 days. So yes, people would buy if the content justified the cost. Give people various bosses with actual difficulty, fix the matchmaking, and most wanted characters all from the gacha game. It could be a once a year thing and it would succeed as long as they don't disappoint. Nothing wrong with being a side project. It's not like it's an MMO or open world game. They wouldn't even need to add more story.

If the Team is constantly focusing on GBF, they will get left behind by society and stop growing etc.
It's not about the metrics but the growth of developers and well being.
The reason why I mentioned once per year is because of player burn out and workload.
I personally still havn't played the latest patch with new characters because I'm doing other things.
If it's a once a year thing, my priorities fir gbf might be higher and we can have faster matchmaking etc.
That's not how game development works man. While yes, the heads are working on both games... There are different teams working on each individual game. Granblue Fantasy has their team while Relink has another with heads that are making sure the vision is being realized properly but since story wouldn't be a priority, the heads wouldn't be needed as much (still a lot but not as much as if they were working on main story that could possibly conflict with already established lore). I even checked to see if the same people are involved in the other games Cygames are working on. Trust me, I thought this through before making such a request to make more content.
Just like Monster Hunter, this game has potential to become a massive console franchise but it depends on how much they are willing to put into it and if they want it to remain a side project or something that requires more focus. This is why it's important to establish the approach now. The $20 every year like approach is a decent way to go about it but I'd very much rather small updates every 3 months with new characters and bosses with a major update with new story, characters, bosses, environments, and weapons and sigils to grind for for $40 or $50 each year or so.

The more I spam the game the easier it becomes, and both us and the Devs will grow to hate it over time.
The Longer break is to indirectly nerf us and allow Devs to "ignore deadlines", they can do 3-4-6-12 anytime they like.
Relink isn't the only Game on the Market and it's slowly becoming less accessible due to the bear market and other competitors, especially those F2P games.
If Players are spending time on those F2P game, then they won't be on Relink etc.
Just leave it to Cygames, we just kick back and enjoy whatever is thrown at us.
This isn't an Cygames only issue, the whole video game market is inflated and they need to figure things out.
Please Cygames if you see this, please keep supporting your game. Please don't let 1.3 be the end of the game and end of support. I love the Granblue Fantasy Relink and poured hundreds of hours into your game. While I have previously played the mobile game, the introductive of the game into a 3d action was the push I needed to enjoy your game to the fullest. If you need to have DLC be paid, whether if that's skins or actual events I would have no problem with putting in my part.

At no point are they making it clear, that they have no plans of something in the future. Only that this is what they had planned at this point. And then with the other guy stating how there is POTENTIAL of something down the line? Oh yeah, I definitely bet we will see this game again in the future. Ain't no way Cygames isn't gonna capitalize.

Yuel, Seox, Neir, Anlia, Belial, Lowane, Vera, to name some. Plus me and my friends are really enjoying this game. This game got them into the Granblue series. Ending support so soon would be so disappointing. Come on devs, honestly they can do so much, for content (lucilius is a great example), even maybe add crossplay in the future with PC. Would be a great QoL, I know plenty people that wanna play it there too, but choose not to cause it isn't crossplay. This game could literally take them far and beyond.
More content would be great but what I really want to see is a sequel or dlc with a new 3 + hour storyline. (but then again I'm more of a story focused player)
I think they might just be reallocating resources to start working on the sequel and address the game's shortcomings like the lack of crossplay and hopefully a better post release content pipeline. I don't think they were ready for this game's success as it's their first foray into real console level game making. That's why it took so long to come out initially. But with everything they learned from this, I think that if they went on to make a sequel, it'll be a substantially better product on many level.
Oh well we all know this definitely wouldn't be their last work but hopefully relink can last as I'm really enjoying this game right now. Many people along from original GBF community are craving so much more content and there's so much to expand on, come one cygames we WANT MORE AND WILL PAY FOR IT GRAAHHH!!!!
I sound like a stick in the mud. I believe the slow release and the lack of reception of Granblue VS released during 2020 caused this to happen. VS is good, don't get me wrong. But making an high production fighting game when not many played it, is the worst kind of introduction a franchise can decide upon.
And you know what? VS Rising is getting all the updates except for this one. What a shame.

I have not purchased the game but do consider myself in the community because I want this game to grow into what its doing as of now, not drop off after such a short time. You developers over there have a winner game wise, don't let it go. The idiom of "don't throw the baby out with the bathwater" comes to mind lol

The baby is the game and the bathwater being the live service or dead service, You clean out the dirty water (Dead service) and you replace with clean water (Live service) but don't let the game go with the dirty water, you still got to clean it up so it grows, go all out itll turn out to be a great game and I know I'm not the only one who sees it.

Really glad to see what you're doing Chaotik! I was with you and Rurikan having the Granblues 😂 because I perordered the physical collector's edition but was ecstatic when I could finally play it at launch and I'm still playing and getting invested in other characters! I would love some of the characters that made it to Versus/Rising like Zooey or even characters like Soriz to add some more fisticuffs in the mix (RIP Ghandagoza 😢) and they must not love money because I would literally throw my money for even half the skins Versus and Rising got/or is getting!
As far as new content besides a harder difficulty, I'd love to see a never-ending survival mode or an endless dungeon where you can get perks or small health increases per quest or encounter until you fully expire the critical condition gauge 🤷🏽♂️ Would love to grind that with friends for sweet rewards and yes I think the game would've benefited with being a live service or something akin to Monster Hunter's monthly or even tri-monthly updates!
And again, give us some skins! I know they said no swimsuits but all the characters have a plethora of costumes and outfits to pull from so Cygames MAKE MONEY and give us skins, not that gaudy gold 😅

They can still add alot of puzzle solving , treasure hunting and more mini challenges into the game , also free exploration of every map where we encounters alot of different mobs and bosses also some popular characters from the same franchise..theres still alot of potential in this game they can add..
