    Very interesting power curve. The previous gen starts falling after 6800rpm, this one is flat even nearing 7500rpm. The intake setup must make quite a difference.

    • @duffyt26
      @duffyt26 10 месяцев назад +1

      That's because the 1:1 ratio gear in the s550 hits the 155mph limiter at 6800rpm but the engine peaks at 7100-7300 with proper fuel. Mine farted out 441whp@7150RPM (2018 gt manual) with Swedish 99octane (US94?) V power and 35F temperature. So this is worse.... s550 GT was underrated and this is meh. bravo ford for the scam marketing!

    Thank you. Most of the time on RUclips from various shops, you get a crazy swing of readings depending what they want to show you. Compared to my 2017 with cold air and long tubes, your numbers are pretty close. Although, I guess like u said depending on the gearing, your RPM was way down. My comparable numbers was about at 6900-7100 rpm. Interesting and truthful video, thx

It was a real lawsuit by Ford owners an Ford had to pay out. Since then Ford people haven't trusted the ome advertise numbers. Over here at Gm we got more integratety then to lead the hard working Gm people astray or to lie to boost sells. If you a Ford fan girl . Take it up with Fords CEO on why he even took all through that embarrassment. God Gm Ls Lt FTW.

      They explained the gear ratio issue in the video. To get true numbers they would need a pull in 7th gear, they can’t do that because of the factory speed limiter. The only cars that can do a full dyno pull in the 1:1 are going to be the manual transmission models, and potentially the 3.73 because they won’t top out on speed, but I’m not 100% sure on the 3.73s. There have been a. Few dynos of the manuals posted, where they can get a full pull in the true 1:1 gear. The one I saw put out 440 whp 425 wheel torque

    • @AsManThinketh
      @AsManThinketh 10 месяцев назад

      You're confused after what ford did to the '22 and '23? They didn't improve much on the s650, they instead dropped everything on the 22 and 23 to make the 24 look better. How does ford say they had to limit the 22 and 23 for epa, and put a carbon trap in the intake to suffocate the motor, then turn around in 24 and add an extra intake? Think about it. Instead of making the s650 a whole new beast, they shit on the last 2 years of the s550.

    I may be wrong, but if you Dyno it in a lower gear than 1:1, doesn’t it give you higher HP numbers ( higher than 1:1 lower HP numbers)?

    • @shawnsanders9450
      @shawnsanders9450 10 месяцев назад

      No. I have no idea why everyone thinks that. If he could dyno in 8th it will make even more than 7th. Look at the green dyno graph. See how much extra power its making over 5th gear? The only reason it didn't make more peak power is because it hit the limiter. If he was able to tune this car or remove the limiter 7th gear would have made a peak power gain of around 25RWHP over 5th.

    • @danieljohn4603
      @danieljohn4603 10 месяцев назад

      @@shawnsanders9450 so it’s the opposite of what I said? to get true HP numbers, I’m pretty sure you need to be in the 1:1 gear. If it’s not true, then why would t everyone just dyno in first gear?

    • @shawnsanders9450
      @shawnsanders9450 10 месяцев назад

      @@danieljohn4603 okay so each gear you go up in will give you higher numbers. If you dynoed in a OD gear like a .86 or whatever it would give a number even higher than 1 to 1. It would be dangerous because of how fast the tires are spinning but it would give a very high number. Dynoing in 1st would give a VERY low number.
      My car was the same way. My car had to be baselined in 5th to not hit the limiter. It's a 2019 GT, 3:55 rear gear, 10R80. It made 405RWHP in 5th. LT headers and a 91 octane tune later it made 429RWHP in 5th. Then we dynoed in 7th which is the 1:1 gear. It made 458RWHP. Only difference between the 429 pull and the 458 pull was it was in 7th. Not 5th. It was the exact same day. The car never came off the dyno. Wish I got a E85 dyno pull that day but it had 3/4 a tank of gas and shitty 91 octane.

The chassis, suspension design and all that isn't enough of a change to make it a completely new generation. @@Olds_Pwr You seem to have short term memory loss, because I clearly referred to your previous comment that of which I was replying to that said and I quote "Buying a clap out 302 from the 80's, putting a $1500.00 performance part onto it and it will achieve more power than a larger displacement engine with 35 years of technology with $45,000 price tag is embarrassing where I come from."
      This entire comment is directly talking about getting a 302, whether it's the engine or the entire car itself doesn't matter, you said it and it's what I referred to so I don't see why you can't understand what I said about finding one in mint condition for cheap.
      You mention that you would put $1500 worth of performance parts in it and make more power than what we have in modern day time.
      I pointed out how any modern day car with cheap performance parts installed can easily make more horsepower without even opening up the stock bottom end and this is on a warrantied car, which gives you way more than what a 80's car would which obviously makes the pricing what it is.
      The moment you compared a car that is reaching almost 50 years to now is when things get complicated, because why would anyone expect a cheap pricing when looking at almost 40 years of development in a car. If you wanted a cheaper car you wouldn't be shopping for this car or any modern day car, making an argument on the price of something in modern time vs something of the past is ridiculous in itself, not to mention most cars from the past when compared to modern day cars are actually way more expensive than they should have been for what they gave feature for feature price to price.
      You also failed to address how not everyone wants to go looking for a car from the 80's to fix and drive around, so I guess that's something you just want to ignore. What you dislike doesn't account for everyone or the majority, not even close. What you are describing is not even 8% of what the majority of consumers would care about or do. These cars aren't the best or the most incredible thing out there, but to act like none of it makes sense is simple turning a blind eye.
      A modern day Mustang that costs 50k can do 1/4 mile in 12 seconds, run around a track as fast as many other sports cars and has features that didn't exist in cars from a decade ago. One great example is the 2013 GT500, the Mustang with the highest horsepower of that time, now worth 50k+, also did low 12 sec 1/4 mile and was incredible, but would not be able to hang with any sports car on a track of modern time or have as many features as cars do today, yet the modern car with less hp beats it in all of that for the same price basically, that is a sign of improvement in many other factors and aspects without just focusing on hp like most people tend to do when looking at pricing, this is coming from a comment that literally complained about this exact thing.

      15% is not a rule and that's not how driveline loses work. It doesn't matter how much power the engine makes. The transmission will take XX amount of hp to operate. it doesn't matter if you add on a supercharger or other power adder. The transmission and other driveline will take the same amount of hp to operate and put power down regardless. the 15% is a very old school way of thinking and it's just not how things work. For example the engine makes 480bph and they got 420whp. That's 60hp parasitic loss in the drivetrain. Now add a supercharger and the engine makes 700hp. Unless you modified the transmission or driveline components. it will still have 60hp driveline loses.
