Ngl, a researcher travelling to distant lands to finish his thesis and meeting a little girl ghost on the way is a pretty good way to start a story. I really want to read the whole book.

My theory is that upon discovering the reason behind the Archon War, the God of Time went to hidding or pretended his death, knowing that they will be eliminated because his power isn't viewed as "element" by Celestia.

The theory i like the most is that Venti sealed the time archon probably by Celestia demand on the wind and time seal (that faaaaar east island from mondstadt) and thus he lost most of his power by doing so and enter the state of hibernation. now Venti is back but since it has been so long since she was sealed, the time archon manage to use the last of her strengh to 'chibi' herself out of the seal and that is when traveler fish paimon out of the sea thus starting our adventure. That's why Paimon kinda remember some really old stuff like kaenh'ra.
