When I saw the introduction showing you finding a grip on the Atlantic Giant, in my mind I saw you in the back of the ambulance on the way to the emergency room with Brooklyn by your side and giving you the long version. Gravity prevailed, however. Wonderful harvest.

Hey Travis! As always great video until...you tried to pick up that pumpkin. Maybe use tow straps or those straps made for movers. While using 2 people. May I suggest having someone out there with you when you are attempting to pick up that monster pumpkin. Just in case something goes wrong and you can't even crawl to your front door. Not at all trying to jinx you. If I still have time I may try those pumpkin varieties. Waiting on my watermelon seeds. Got email notice they shipped out todsy

I think the field pumpkin weight is 57 lbs and the giant pumpkins is 161. So glad you didn't keep trying with the giant one. Was almost expect to see you being loaded in an ambulance after rebreaking your back.

I am so jealous of that rain!! There has not been a drop of rain at my house or the surrounding area since February. We are in a severe drought and the temps are hitting 107 today with 1% humidity. I am not jealous of your humidity though.

Those pumpkins are fantastic! 42# on smaller one and 124# on the larger one.

Those Fairytale pumpkins are so pretty! They’re supposed to be extra tasty, also! Kabota Jade Knight is freaking impressive! How does it taste? Is it good for baking and pies?

Haven't tried the Jade Knight yet. We'll let them cure a little under the barn before trying them. But the if they're anything like the Speckled Hound pumpkins we grew last year, they'll be great!

Hi Travis! Just had to let you know that I just picked my first German Johnson tomato because of you!! It’s a keeper!!
I got 2 German Johnsons this year at 40 ounces. Never grown tomatoes that big.
I've grown the German Pink and I think it's the same thing, different companies call the names different for marketing purposes. The German Pink is the best tomato I've ever had and I been growing tomatoes for 60+ years. I like to grow hybrid for big canning crops but for fresh eating I prefer the heirloom.

Those are some nice pumpkins for sure Travis. The last few years all we've grown are the Cherokees so no way could they compare in size. But I'll say 38 pounds on the small pumpkin and 110 on the big'un. Thanks for the video. 👍

Have you ever tried growing fennel , which is like bulb-ed celery , has a mild licorice flavor and a top/ green part that has a dill taste , you can cook the white bottom sauteed/ sweated with OJ or lemon juice. or eat it raw as a salad . also Jicama a south of USA border root veg that taste like a cross between potato and an apple , which is great if you find it fresh in a store but Latino's tell they it is better fresh out of the ground , They eat with just lime and hot sauce, I add it to stuff like salsa to give a nice crunch it's has kinda like water chestnut texture .
I grew some fennel last fall and it looked really good for a couple weeks, then it just died.

Not to get into a rain contest, but during Hurricane Harvey in Houston I measured 50 inches of rain in 72 hours... I dumped two 5-gallon buckets on my roof that filled twice and dumped a partial bucket as well. Absolutely ridiculous.
