I wish more people would make videos like this. Your transparency and showing us each step clearly that needs to be checked is appreciated. "let's learn together" is exactly what I'm looking for 😊. I also loved the ending, with the memorial of your 6th pumpkin 😅

Last year there were over 100 pumpkins growing in my backyard. All to get seeds for the squirrels. None of them were ripe even during Thanksgiving. Rules and daily watching do count. Having people drop off the pumpkins they no longer wanted gave me so many seeds, they lasted till spring!

Do you have any advice for dealing with mildew, my pumpkins are almost ripe but it's ravaging the leaves. I've been cutting the affected leaves off and burning them but it's still spreading and killing leaves off.

I have used loppers to cut through the pumpkin’s stem. Works for me without damaging the pumpkin (or possibly injuring myself). 😉👍🏻 Also, did the mainly green one turn to orange and if so how long did it take? Thank you.

A couple of years ago we harvested our pumpkins the very end of September because of the weather and I left them outside the whole month. By the first of November, all of the ones that were going to turn had turned color. Some of them were not far enough along and just turned into compost. I took daily pictures.

I'd use some pruning sheers. They're pretty cheap, work well, and much safer to use.

Very good information. We planted a good patch of pumpkins this year but unfortunately lost them to Vine Bores. Next year we are going to shoot for it again and we will be more ready. Great information and enjoyable content. Keep Creating!!

How did you diagnose the vine bores? I lost more fruit than I kept, and I'm not sure why. A lot of the female flowers turned yellow and fell off before they got a chance to open.

@@seekingsubsistence2016 For us here in 6A e found holes in at the base of the Vine is usually where we would find them residing. Huge pain but when everything is going good and the its not. Check at the base of the vine. We always catch them there. You can cut them out but we missed them just shy of too late. Next year though, next year

@@seekingsubsistence2016 I have had this same issue this year as well. I had so many females die before the flower could open. All males were always fine. Any ideas?

Is the orange color also a sign?

Yes, it’s a good indicator. The color will continue to change off the vine, which is why I sought out these other ways to tell.

You say "let's believe in Allah." I'll tell you the same thing I'd tell a Christian. What evidence specifically supports the claim that there's a God named Allah who created everything?
