I got the opportunity to actually spend some time in the woods with Johnny this week and man, I just wanted to record the entire thing. An absolute wealth of knowledge. And if you know good deer hunters by the way they think differently, Johnny can be in the conversation with the best of them. He just looks at things so differently than the average guy. no wonder his camp Is full of so many big bucks!
Very cool transformation of a camp ... Love that he used some of the materials from the site (white pine).. It is simply hard to explain the cool atmosphere at a mountain camp in these parts leading up to and into the 1st day of rifle buck in PA... Especially as a small kid back in the day simply awestruck by listening to all the old timers, sighting in the ol 32 special, keeping the fire going and related smoke smell of the camp, and mesmerized by a deer or two that would eventually be hanging from the game pole ... and oh the shots echoing off the mountains that 1st morning.... Thanks for sharing ..what a special time indeed...
I knew he was a yinzer as soon as he spoke a word. I’ve shot a bunch of really nice bucks around my home in SWPA but still enjoy hitting the big woods up north with the gang. Deer camp is a huge tradition in PA.
I just absolutely love hearing the stories from the hunts . I’ve had an extremely rough season here in WV . A few blowed opportunities and a couple misses on a giant . Got my confidence as a hunter real low right now but I’m still huntin hard 🤘🏻😛🤘🏻
Nice bucks !!! Tell everyone you know to stop shooting young bucks...there is no such things as " big bucks " only mature bucks...every state will and can produce "big bucks " if people let them live long enough 😘 ive been hunting for over 40 years...and I still here guys saying " we don't have big bucks were we hunt " I say I know ..you guys keep killing them before they become " big bucks "

Awesome Crib, you have done a lot with the place. All that it takes to make a hunter happy is a room from full of wood and bone!😂👍🏻
