As a pennsylvania native, it is by far one of the most challenging places to hunt. It’s dense, the deer are tuff, and stalking them in the woods is nearly impossible. Killing a 130 class deer is a trophy here… Seeing a giant commonly is rare. It’s actual hunting here. In the woods, minimal food sources. You rely on using past experiences, signs, and luck.
Pennsylvania is definitely a challenge to hunt. Some spots are like the urban areas and others you are climbing and hiking miles and miles to get the deer you are after! Glad to see you guys make the trip up to PA! Hoping it turns into a tradition for you guys.
@@nathanlegradi4098 that’s cool man i used to have to go up to state college all the time for work. i’ve also hunted in potter county up northwest. great land!
Dude, so glad u guys got to experience pa! That’s my ground! I’ve hunted potter and york counties my whole life! What u got to do, experience deer camp and deer drives, is a right of passage for so many young men in this state. And to top it off with a public land cherry is quite the accomplishment. Congrats!
I've hunted here in Pa my home state for 45+ years and our deer are one tough deer to pursue on public land. A beauty you took and thank you for respecting him and immediately dispatching him and not carrying on like some of these hunters while the deer flounders around. Congrats and come back 👍
Awesome video. Glad you got to experience a deer drive. Drew bumped a legal buck but his gun was slung over his shoulder One suggestion- if you’re in the woods- driving or standing- get the gun off your shoulder and be ready to shoot. Of course keep the safety on and always point in a safe direction. As you saw, it happens fast. You may only have a split second. Great video though. Love your channel!
If you enjoyed PA deer drives you have to find a group like ours and try a few days of Bear Rifle Season! I am disappointed that you didn't say you were sore from all of those drives. After 4 days of bear season and 25 to 30 miles I feel like I need a walker!
You did a great job on this video. Needless to say, when a deer is taken on a PA drive, it's like everyone got one. The comradery of the group comes to the surface. Your next PA adventure needs to be a late season (December 26 or later) flintlock hunt.
Great to see you continuing to branch out. I got to hunt like this as a kid in PA once on a trip back to visit family. I didn’t get a kill but it was a blast. This video brought back memories from over 30 years ago. Thanks! Great video as always Lee
Congratulations!!! Nice buck and very well earned. Putting on deer drives in the mountains of PA is no joke as deer are few and far between compared to many areas. As always thank you for great video.
Probably be of the best videos I’ve ever watched really captured the tradition in my state love pa woods nothing better than those days with friends and family congrats on that buck!
what ive realized is lee doesnt wear sitka at all even he is one of the big hunters which is kinda cool cause its saying walmart camo will do just as good
There isn't a hair on a deer's hide here in the PA mountains that you won't have to work for. The deer are few, they travel far and wide, and you'll burn the boot leather finding them. Thanks for showing our big woods, I've thought about hunting in many other places but so far have decided it could never be the same as the woods I call home.
Glad to see the giant slayers shoot a deer cause it’s fun they all trophies to me that’s first buck I’ve seen y’all shoot that you didn’t already have pics of grate shot Lee nice buck
I’m glad you guys did this to show it is okay to do and keep the tradition alive. A lot of the younger generation have no interest in hunting this way and it’s sad that it is dying off
Up here in northwest Pa you definitely get your steps in earning these beautiful whitetails. Congrats on the buck but more importantly the stories and memories you created which are the true trophies 🙏🙏🙏
Great video and cool to see how other groups do deer drives. We push some big woods here in Wisconsin too with 15+ people. Next time you gotta leave those bolt actions at home and bring a pump or semi-auto.
Sums up hunting here to a T. Bad weather, lots of hard work for days on end hoping to even catch a glimpse of a tail. Then that magical moment that happens in the blink of an eye. Pa big woods public land hunting at its finest.
On our place if you're dogging & there's shooting it's always fun to get to the end. The pressure is on if you're standing! How many did you get? 10 shots! Where's the stack? "Uhmmm, that wasn't me shooting, that was someone else ...... " 😂😂🙄🙄
i have been waiting for this video to finally come out. i vote you make deer drives a yearly thing. buy the right rifle and you can use it in PA, Ohio, Michigan, West Virginia all of them states. Along with a flintlock or muzzleloader. Congrats man!
We used to do drives and we used plastic milk jugs with rocks in them shake em up the deer would move and you had to be alert because sometimes they would circle back
I'd love to see you guys do more public land hunting. Getting a 150 inch buck in big woods public is probably more difficult and rewarding than getting a 180 inch buck on private that nobody else is hunting. I hunt Florida public and I've seen some photos of incredible bucks pushing 150 or 160, you'd be surprised what is lurking down here.
PA bucks are some of the toughest to hunt; congrats guys; you Ol Boys will be hooked,,, At Least your not door knocking!!! Truth Be Told Tho,, That Ohio Bow Hunt,, Was Epic!!! Nuff Said
Come to East Texas and try and deer drive😂. It would look more like you had been in a bear fight by the time you came out of the woods. The standers would never even see the deer when they went by.
Thanks for coming to hunt with us guys!! It was a blast showing you our PA gun season tradition!
@SQUID lol 🤣😂
One spot looked like game lands 108 up in Galitzen? If so, know that hollow well.

Great video! Beautiful country. Deer drives in PA will help you figure out what you really need to carry and what you can leave in the truck.
Lee and that horseshoe again... kinda wild seeing you with that rifle..great shot and nice buck🦌🦌🦌

Awesome vid! I cut my teeth north of I80, Rt. 36 by Segal in Cooks forest...old forest! Big ole trees! What part were Yinz in?
Awesome video. Glad you got to experience a deer drive.

I love bow hunting but there’s something about the comradery and mobility of gun hunting that holds a special place in my heart.
The strong sense of camaraderie is such a powerful element to Seek One videos. Such great productions!

I say he needs to get out there for opening day for rifles in PA. Nothing beats it when you know everyone up at 5AM is doing the same thing.
Being from Pennsylvania just makes this video that much sweeter! Hunting these mountains sure is special.

Congratulations on success in my home state!! I film and hunt on public in pa and it is very tough in the big woods! Great production!
Growing up in north ga we would do deer drives all the time ! It was fun
Lee absolutely loved the change of pace. Great stuff. Can I ask. Did you flush any grouse while you were doing drives?
As someone who has hunted on the border of New York and Pennsylvania for 20 years. Thats a great buck

The rifle deer drives is a trademark of PA. But you want to experience a amazing tradition come do flintlock drives with us.
Tough hunting conditions makes the reward that
much sweeter.

Hunting pa is in a league of its own
Pa is definitely different sometimes it's urban but most of my hunting is mountain hunting in pa and it's most challenging thing to do I believe
Glad to see the giant slayers shoot a deer cause it’s fun they all trophies to me that’s first buck I’ve seen y’all shoot that you didn’t already have pics of grate shot Lee nice buck

This is a great depiction of the hunting I’ve grown up on tough rugged walking days of nothing then in a second it changes and have hinges on a shot
PA is the land of opportunity. Glad you could find some success!
love the orange hat, it’s my favorite
Up here in northwest Pa you definitely get your steps in earning these beautiful whitetails. Congrats on the buck but more importantly the stories and memories you created which are the true trophies 🙏🙏🙏

I have been watching this channel so much lately. I am a huge fan of these awesome buck hunt.
Awesome seeing a video from PA! Congratulations!
You need to reproduce that Kansas hat you made and sell them, they are hilarious!
We are! Lol. Will have them ready soon. Drawing them is going to take a minute
@@SeekOneProductions hahaha get to work!!
Never got to watch this video last year but nice to see a change from archery I get bored of the same old stuff
That's a good PA mountain buck it's tuff in rifle season

Great to see you in home state putting in the time and miles
You need to get back to the big Georgia suburb bucks and the awesome stories behind them.
If there would have been one chip on that windshield it would have busted out when ya did that! 😂 Iv seen it happen.
Wow! One of the greatest intros I’ve seen!
I grew up hunting public land in PA. Michaux State Forest is the toughest hunting I've ever experienced. This brought back a lot of memories!
It still is! Wouldn’t trade it for any other place though

Welcome to Pennsylvania it’s an extremely hard state but if you put in time the studs are out their but you must find them deep deep deep in the woods
"A tradition as old as time.... carrying your rifle by the scope."

It’s very similar to the Maine woods, you guys need to come hunt sometime! Awesome video nice buck!
Next time your at the local bar, sign me up😂😂😂

I'd love to see you guys do more public land hunting. Getting a 150 inch buck in big woods public is probably more difficult and rewarding than getting a 180 inch buck on private that nobody else is hunting. The intro to this video is 🔥🔥🔥
Awesome episode, but I’m glad it wasn’t easy lol PA can be tough but with the right ppl you can really have a good time.
We have northern Iowa deer drives on river beds and timber with shotguns! Just had a 200 incher go down this year! Y’all should come join us

Come to East Texas and try and deer drive😂. It would look more like you had been in a bear fight by the time you came out of the woods. The standers would never even see the deer when they went by.
