    5 years in prison followed by 10 years probation for $330K is ridiculous, she should serve for at least 15 years!

    Love that the judge gave her prison and ordered full restitution. Finally, a judge that isn't soft on crime.

    So a sick kid gives her the right to steal money from a church??? He said she used $100,000 for doctors bills but what was the $245,000 used for. Family luxuries.

    That just chaps my behind . 1st Some people sacrifice to pay tithe and 2nd I can’t believe churches have that much money on hand and 3rd she stole from her friends, family and her tribe!!! That’s trash!

    People fore you decide to embezzle money, think again it may take years but they will catch you !

    She took advantage and betrayed everyone. She did not think about the consequences and it all catched up to her. Her lawyer making up all these excuses for her wrong doing but that's his job🙄🤷🏻‍♀️. I like the Judge's tone of voice and everything he said👌🏻. Like the judge said she did not have to be an accountant to know she was taking those funds and misappropriating for her own use. I believe in repentance and asking for forgivenes and hope she is recognizing, reflecting and truly remorseful for her actions if she chooses too.

    With a conviction for theft.. she’ll never pay that money back. She’s never going to be in a position of authority again. Bankruptcy will be her answer.

      She won’t be able to file bankruptcy for an embezzlement that she has to pay back.

    I hope she has to serve the whole 10 years. To steal from the church is the epitome of evil and it was one of the disciples that betrayed Jesus to make money. Look how disrespectful she is and she suffers from gluttony, greed, arrogance, and she has no compassion for those who are less fortunate than her. She want's to cry she has all the shoes after she chopped off people's feet for them.

    The witness really has laid out the damage that woman’s greed caused. Most important impact is the stress court causes to health

    Placing fault on the organization for their trust is just plain scummy. Not to mention to keep using the kids as an excuse. That worked once but the court isn’t as trusting.

    1) guaranteed never to secure employment to generate funds towards paying anyone back with a prison record. 2) while her guilt is her guilt, the church had zero governance and the board should be sacked as their lack of controls facilitated the fraud. 3) employed under qualified staff, had no controls, no supervision….. very surprised insurance company paying out.
    4) church on notice that the she was under financial pressure and still no governance/controls.
    She is guilty but so are the church in their inadequacy.

      You are SADLY mistaken if you think she should not do jail time. When you commit FELONIES you need to do the time.

    • @elizabethchacko7795
      @elizabethchacko7795 21 минуту назад

      Not outrageous - it's fair. If you commit grant theft, you get to spend a lengthy time in prison and you have to pay restitution. Who else do you think should pay back the money stolen?
