I felt bad for the last dude. I think he legit doesn’t know what to do and his mother left him the house and the “caretaker” is taking advantage of him!!

I feel the same way. I feel like she shouldn’t be able to sell this property.
I doubt the caretaker is taking advantage of him. He probably doesn't understand what they are telling him. To someone with a mental illness, unwelcome news is often seen as a conspiracy or evil act. They are probably trying to help him in any legal way they can but they are also probably exasperated because their job isn't to be his psychiatrist.
Maybe there’s money owing on the house and it needs to be sold to pay it out? Not sure how that works in the USA. I mean she could be a cow, but I doubt the judge would be so harsh on him if the eviction had been that heartless. Mind you the law is the law, but still.
I don't think she is. But dude is extremely low iq and probably should be in a facility other than jail

The last man definitely needed help…in a lot of ways. And I really hope no one takes advantage of him…that would make that person a very horrible person. And this magistrate really does look very pained and like he’s uncomfortable for some reason.
that last defendant, if he isn't competent to stand trial then he likely wouldn't understand the court orders. I feel bad for him.

It's all very interesting how they handle themselves with their different characters. The large one with two assaults and then talks with this meek little voice was hilarious. Then the crier etc. This is how they walk through life.

Agreed. My mom used to do home health care and she ended up with a client because the caretaker he originally had was stealing from his bank account. Luckily the bank alerted the police when they became suspicious of a check she brought in. Thankfully they caught her before she sucked his bank account dry. My mom worked part time as an EMT for the same town so the police had asked her if she would be willing to do home care for the gentleman. He ended up being a second grandfather to me while growing up and actually left his house to my mom when he passed away.
I truly hope this man gets help. 😢😢😢
I feel bad for the last guy bc I don’t think he understands what’s really going on. 😢 Mental health problems makes it rough. If his aunt in control of his ss then she have him a place and paying his rent or am I completely wrong about that?
I realize this guy didn't leave the house when ordered & made threats but he was lost & scared. He's asking about his cat for God's sake? I'm glad the Judge could see he has gone downhill his he last appeared & his attorney was great. He obviously has mental health issues & jail isn't the answer either. I wish they had a separate facility for people dealing with these issues. Jail would be brutal & could cause some people to commit suicide they prey on him. I wonder if his Mother left the house to a relative or whoever is supposed to look after him thinking they'd care for him? Then do the opposite & sell the property which was done & use his money for themselves as it wouldn't be the first time. I hope they find him help & let him serve his time in a Mental Healthcare Center if possible. Life is hard enough with the economy he can't be left on the streets to fend for himself!😢 Ottawa, 🇨🇦 💔

Absolutely heartbreaking. So many fall through the cracks like this. Completely tragic and I hope he is given appropriate resources to give him some quality of life.
His parent giving the house without him in trust will definitely not help his survival...In fact, it pretty much assured a suicide. Stupid is as stupid does. Dont be stupid.folks! Had a friend in HS who' dad did something just as stupid...Call an estate atty people!!! Dont trust ANYONE!!!

That last attorney was excellent! Even went to check on his client in jail on his off hours. Seems like a solid human.

For everyone commenting about her uncontrollable yawning, those are the first signs of detox when being addicted to opiates, yawing, sneezing, watery eyes are some of the early signs of begining to get sick. She literally cannot control it . Just a little education if anyonewas wondering.
Could be just me but Mike seems to derive some perverse pleasure in these people's situations. No presumption of innocence, just snark. Onboard when it comes to the Sovereigns, but some of these are just sad.
If a young guy like that is already on social security, there must be some deficit and a big file behind it. I sensed a little malingering with the questions about the cat. A little too perfect, but obvs. there's some organic illness there.

It's compulsory, but sadly, no law says you have to listen or retain anything.
There is an old saying here in the states,"You can lead a horse to water but you cannot make it drink". And that is or problem with the education system here. We actually have kids who do not care and see no reason for an education. We now have this ever growing part of society with no education and feeling no responsibility to be a productive member. I do not know what will happen in the future, but I am afraid it will not be good.
@@ronfullerton3162 it's a world wide problem and that's why crime is massively increasing world wide. Yes statistics say it's decreasing but much of that is due to not contacting police to report crimes it.
@@alunchurcher7060 Statistics is mathematics, yet can be altered to portray a point someone is wanting to make. Today, those wanting to portray a world or society as not being unlawful just has to forget shoplifting, simple assault, and those little things that they do not even arrest or put people on trial for anymore and walla, you statistically have a more law abiding society.
As we know, anything a politician or social engineer talks about is all smoke and mirrors.

Frustrating when a felon with a history of not showing up for court, gets released on little or no bond. Of course, judges always say, "the NEXT time you don't show up, THEN there will be consequences". These people must skip out the door, laughing at the judicial system.

@@blancobasnett oh I understand 199%. I have a schizophrenic sister who still denies she has any mental health issues whatsoever despite her life cycling downwards steadily for the past 20years.
I’ve been through untold amounts of heartache, but I still wouldn’t leave her homeless. I certainly wouldn’t evict her from a home that her mother left to her. Cutting off contact is one thing, but evicting them is another level. Surely she could’ve made sure things got taken care of… but we don’t know all the facts

"Theft of Services" in Texas typically refers to a hot check. And I'm pretty sure I went to high school with the crying woman. No kidding. If she's the woman I'm thinking of, this is NOT her first time in jail. If anything, she's perfected her routine, after much practice.

Mike, the last guy seems to be special needs DD (developmental disability). Someone was taking care of all of his medical needs and for some reason just said we're not doing it anymore, you're on your own kid hit the highway. I have no idea what happened in his case but I work with special needs as a nurse and our grandson is also special needs (DD) and lives with us and we take care of his medical needs. He has no SS and is fully dependent on us. I've been around enough people who are DD and he appears to be DD.

that guy at 26:00, having seen both his PCC and then the landlord tenant case for him right after you gotta feel bad for him. He seems like he's not fully functional and was basically living with his mother until she passed away. Because he's not fully functional his aunt got the mother's property and kicked him out and sold it without any effort to try and find a group home or anything for the guy. He didn't understand what was going on and tried to stay in the house even though he wasn't supposed to, leading to the criminal charges. Sad situation all around.
