Basically, it's a very large area of very fertile plains. Lowlands with good climate. I've tried some things to weaken it, but at the end of the day it's just a feature of this map that there's this area that's just very advantaged compared to anywhere else. (By which I mean, if I try too aggressively to balance against this, that would negatively impact what happens on other maps. An area that has this many things going for it in its climate and geography SHOULD get a head start.)

Why does civilization develop so fast in the middle area of this map especifically?
