    Hey Georgia :) I'm a current third-year UG at UEA doing Molecular Biology & Genetics, like you were a few years ago!
    Thanks for making this video - your honesty about how your journey into learning to code is really reassuring and very inspiring! I'm really keen to learn to code so I'll definitely be keeping up with you on here and checking out the links you recommend.

    Good content. Now I know where to start from.....
    I have been interested in learning how to code but didn't know where to start from. I was just watching random videos on RUclips which sometimes can be very complicated especially when you don't have a guide or get to have feedbacks

      Thanks so much Andrews! They can be super complicated. I’m hoping to make the entry into coding more accessible and easy.

    Hey.. i am a wet lab person with zero prior experience. Would lovvvee suggestions :
    1. Should I start will online courses for computational genomics or genomic data science??
    2. For either which books / courses would u suggest for genomic analysis?

    • @genomicswithgeorgia
      @genomicswithgeorgia  2 года назад

      Hey! Sorry for the late response. Many of us bioinformatics people started off with just wet lab so I can 100% confirm that this is a viable route for you into the data side!
      You should definitely start courses as soon as possible. Honestly there are so many interchangeable words going on in this space so either of the above sound sensible to me!
      I’ll do a video soon about books to read but books, I’ve found, are more a supplement to online learning/ actually learning by practising.

    Just a question! I started learning R with R introduction and R intermediate courses in Datacamp, now I want to start python soon, so do you think it’s better to learn it in Datacamp or codecademy? I really appreciate your kind advice xxx

    • @genomicswithgeorgia
      @genomicswithgeorgia  2 года назад +1

      Love a question! Honestly it depends on which graphical user interface you prefer! There was some bad info about DataCamps CEO involving sexual misconduct a few years ago so I try to not promote Datacamp so can’t really comment on how it compares to Codecademy :)
