When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. - John Lennon :)
Whoa! Amazing video! We're so happy you're using our fan to its full potential and loving it so much. FYI, we've made this fan even better. It now has a brushless motor that will push air for 20,000 hours. Plus a fourth speed setting. Let us send you a Sirocco II Elite :) It'll fit right onto the same mounting plate and you can hand-me-down your Sirocco II to a vanlife pal! Please get in touch :)
The best part of the roof fan is coming home when it's cooler outside and you can reverse the air flow, open a window, and exhaust the hot air out of your van in a few minutes. Great to use while cooking too.
I am in Australia and we added one of these fans and it is so nice to have the QUIET sirocco fan near to the A/c which we can’t use off grid. And near to our bed and dining area. The cool breeze is a lifesaver in our opinion also. Thanks for the Wattage info Chrome. Hugs WAH.
If you can get away without the fly screen on the maxxair, take it off. It will make a huge difference in airflow. If you need it on, clean it with a brush at least a couple times a year. Nice vid
I have one in my Casita and love it. Power saver. I use to see them on boats and always wanted one. Made in Canada. They have been making them over 20 years...Caframo Scirocco II
Nice fan. I took advantage of the Ryobi Days sale at Home Depot, and got a portable Ryobi battery OR electric fan, 2 speeds, plus two 3 amp hour batteries, charger, and case for the same $99. It will run all night on the low setting off of just one of the batteries... and I can charge it the next day off my inverter that is powered from the alternator while driving so that my solar panel can keep the battery topped off for the fridge...
I absolutely love my Addsmile 360 usb rechargeable fan. It is clip on so can be moved around as needed. And variable speed. Mine is a bit smaller than yours....so I bought another. Super great in my hot van!
Thanks so much telling us about this low wattage fan! We have the Maxfan and just got the Honda 290. I didn’t want to mess with figuring out how to wire it and didn’t want to drill any holes. I was rather shocked at 36 w to power the Maxfan! Just bought the little fan! You rock Chrome!
Man...you are costing me money!! $200 for fans (one for me and one for the wife)....$350 for the Jackery!!!! The van is looking great....and I can't believe how fast the puppy is growing!! Live long and prosper!!
l also enjoy watching Chrome and Cruise. So much so - I bought a van and started my own channel STAY AWESOME VANLIFE. I am fitting out a Promaster on the east coast of Austrslia - hope your journey is as enjoyable as mine.
Thanx for the great info..........Moving air, air exchange, and ventilation are key to staying cool...........esp in my case.......I don't care for ac and artificial environments.
I use this fan in the nursing home I live in for now. I have it attached to my over the bed table, yes it rocks! I have MS and must stay cool even in the winter. Thanks for the link. Big hug to Cruz! Your van looks complete with the fan! 😁
Hey Chrome, Long time Follower, First time commentator... First; Your a Rockstar. Your level of Happiness is unheard of. Love it. Second; Dont know if anyone's told ya, but your 🐕pup is definitely your soulmate.. I have a shitzu myself, butt that pug is definit you...Much LOVE, Me & my Girl cant wait to mert you this summer..✌
New to this but camping in car sienna and fan was big issue. Rather expensive $154 on Amazon but need something that doesn’t need to be permanently mounted. Love the channel..
I too seek a "swamp cooler" of a solution to my egg'sperience of a Hot Tin Roof Summer in my "Silver of the Quick" Ride....lol...I am currently field researching a "skeeter solution" using some white mesh drawstringed laundry bags and my side doors and their windows....I'll let ya know how it goes and if it kept the skeeters at bay and helped my little breezeway, all thru-out my sunny day...lol. h.p.n. pleez. 🐶 ☮ out, Chromie. 😎
Just started a new shopping list... Van Life. That is a pretty badass fan. I've been binge watchig van life videos for two weeks and I think I'm pretty set on this goal. I appreciate your channel, dude!
I have a ryobi one plus fan and cracked a back window in my mini van. All I need. Some of this is not just area, it's personal. Some people freeze at just a touch of cold or swear the are going to melt in a mild heat, others are the opposite. I'm with Chrome, experiment and find your own way.
Hey Chrome and Cruz I want to thank you for your honesty about your new Fav Thing in your Van. We will definately check this out for our teardrop, and the selling point no wires to pull! Merci!!! Stay cool and weird ✌😎🤓🐶🇨🇦
I'm surprised. I grew up with no AC. We used a window fan mounted in the laundry room with the air flow pulling (not blowing) air thru the house. By pulling hot air out of the house and cool air in thru the other windows it created a great breeze. I would've figured the max air would work the same way. Hmmm.
You just hit a button to reverse the direction of the max fan spin direction. I use it to suck out the hot air and replenish through a low open window.
Thanks for sharing this! Im going car camping across the Oklahoma mountains this summer I will need a fan during the day. That fan and a Jackery should keep me happy.
Hi Chrome ☺!!! I just bought my van a month ago n i have been watching so many videos about everything because I'm a solo vanlifer n doin this on my own. I have 0 exp w power n watts n all absolutely ZERO! Ur vidz r amazing so thanx 4 that!!! I have a 98 Ford E~150 conversion van. I have 4 small side windows that open n the 2 front. I live in Pa n it gets VERY hot n VERY humid. I made a DIY "air conditioner" from a vid i saw but refilling it was frozen ice bottles pretty much every day or every other day is old!! I have a power box thingi lol n have no idea really what is does or is capable of... Ughhh i need help lol!!! But it charges my phone n USB things im afraid 2 use other plugs it has an air compressor n jump starter on it as well i just grabbed cheapest thing i could find. I don't want 2 put a hole esp alone n in-experienced n i have bought/returned many fans. It just feels like i blowing the hot, humid air around. Anyway any advise would help, i am lost!! Regardless...couldn't b happier about my decision 2 do this!!! ✌&💚
I love my vanlife because of what u are experiencing right now. Just being super happy over things we used to take for granted. I just bought a fan today too..this is my 2nd fan as I am in Louisiana I'm trying..2 fans at once to see if that helps. :) Love your new fan!
Thank you for the video on the fan, Chrome. I live in Washington, but the heat already is beginning to become quite a lot for the van dwelling. I have been wracking my brain on whether or not to get a roof vent fan, but I think this fan that you showed will do just fine for the time being.
nice fan, would even work better if u would mount it next to a window that could open, cause the airvent uses more, but pulls in fresh air, if u just had this one pull in fresh air too, and for isntance u had 2, one in back at a window u would replace for a opening one, and then one in fron, u could get a nice airflow going for barely any power
I have a turtle top, so I don't want a ceiling fan. I'd like to get the rear windows that open and put a fan at each end. One blowing and the other extracting.
Welcome to the D - am - N Mad - N - ess !! ' .. Eye love it , Chrome. And this fan is absolutely Van -Tastic. Again my friend, we love it so much eye bought 2... one in black for the front of the Van, and a white one for the back. Much love brother :)
Honestly didn't know the maxxair fans drew so much power. My plan was to do 2(one on the front roof and one in place of a rear window), but I'm thinking of just doing your setup The roof vent fan is borderline essential for basic venting, at least if you intend to cook in the van or anything where you're gonna want outside air coming in the van, but my idea for the second one was just to help with cooling on hot nights while I'm sleeping
pricey you said ? over 99 $ is, from my point of view, pretty expensive... but i like your review, since i was looking for an extremely silent fan and this one may be a contender. Thanks for the vid !
When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. - John Lennon :)
I want one

Where did u get it
That fan can also help circulate warm air around the van during the winter, making sure the whole van stays warm instead of just right by your heater.
Got 3/choice
The best part of the roof fan is coming home when it's cooler outside and you can reverse the air flow, open a window, and exhaust the hot air out of your van in a few minutes. Great to use while cooking too.
Thank you so very much for sharing Chrome and Cruz. Love it awesome. 👍❤️
Completely agree. I have 2 maxxairs and they don’t hold a candle to the lil fan!
I am in Australia and we added one of these fans and it is so nice to have the QUIET sirocco fan near to the A/c which we can’t use off grid. And near to our bed and dining area. The cool breeze is a lifesaver in our opinion also. Thanks for the Wattage info Chrome. Hugs WAH.
So cool .... I need to get one for our van for the pupsters
its on my Amazon shop list!! Thanks!!
Ill be starting my Rv journey in a few weeks. selling the house and hitting the road!!!
Don't sell your house rent it out instead. Camp life is great and all but don't believe the hype by selling an asset like a house.
I wasn't aware of low wattage fans, I'll be adding one to my semi sleeper!
Nice fan. I took advantage of the Ryobi Days sale at Home Depot, and got a portable Ryobi battery OR electric fan, 2 speeds, plus two 3 amp hour batteries, charger, and case for the same $99. Giant Travels by Van aw damn I missed it?!?! I really wanted a bunch of Ryobi stuff :/ alas, soon 🤷🏼♀️
They might have another sale for father's day. I bought the fan 2 summer's ago. Last week I got the charger with batteries and the free router.
@@RedFlip64 - it's an annual thing if they don't do something for Father's Day,,, just watch for Ryobi Days...
Big fan of the fan in the van.
I absolutely love my Addsmile 360 usb rechargeable fan. It is clip on so can be moved around as needed. And variable speed. Mine is a bit smaller than yours....so I bought another. Super great in my hot van!

Great video! Both fan & battery are now on my Amazon list.
Have you seen the icybreeze? It's a little cooler with a built in tiny fan and Cuff pvc pipe. It's amazing.
Your cool people man keep on trucking and enjoy life.
Man...you are costing me money!! $200 for fans (one for me and one for the wife)....$350 for the Jackery!!!! The van is looking great....and I can't believe how fast the puppy is growing!! Live long and prosper!!
& were ordering that " 360 fan 2DAY..THANX BRO
Love your van. It’s unique. The roof and quirkiness. Pup too!
yo chrome greeting from California Been watching for a few months and have started saving for my own van
Fellow Californian, doing van life starting this year. Hope you get your van soon!
@@TheHermitHacker should be on the road by winter looking for a van at the moment

Did u make it?
Hey Crome, just a quick tip, keep the fans clean and lubed for continued good use
Great addition to the van. I don't like heat, so this one is a needed necessity. Thanks for sharing.
Thanx for the great info..........Moving air, air exchange, and ventilation are key to staying cool...........esp in my case.......I don't care for ac and artificial environments.
I lived in my van for 5 years.
Was kinda easy once I figured out how to do it.
CUDDS MT.FAMOUS & HOLA C♡
CALI IS STARTING TO GET HOT . CRAZY WEATHER ,CONCEDER TOWN'S FLOODING OUT THIS PASS WEEKEND .. SAFE TRAVELS, ONWARD BOUND!
I use this fan in the nursing home I live in for now. I have it attached to my over the bed table, yes it rocks! I have MS and must stay cool even in the winter. Thanks for the link. Big hug to Cruz! Your van looks complete with the fan! 😁
The fan is not to bad $99. But the power you will save would be worth it.
#LiveYourPassion I Luv you Chrome and Cruz!! Weirdos Unite!! Normal Life Sucks !! 😎 ❤️

So excited to get one I have been through hell deciding to cut a hole into my new pro master thank you for putting me at ease
Did you get one!?
There is a new Aussie channel you may enjoy Chrome. STAY AWESOME VANLIFE.
Chrome uses the word “freaking” a whole lot in this video.
Hey Chrome, Long time Follower, First time commentator...

Why does Chrome remind me so much of Billy West? He sounds so much like a hip and cool version of Billy West.

I am a fan of your fan!
We have had one of those fans in our Dodge van for about 4 years.
I have a ryobi one plus fan and cracked a back window in my mini van. All I need. Some of this is not just area, it's personal. Some people freeze at just a touch of cold or swear the are going to melt in a mild heat, others are the opposite. I'm with Chrome, experiment and find your own way.

Thanks brah

Merci!!!
Stay cool and weird ✌😎🤓🐶🇨🇦
Thank you for posting the link for the fan, I've been looking for a fan for the van like that! Thank you
You could get a regular roof vent and use that for the fan. The Maxxair is good for rainy days
Nice! Can't wait to get it.
I'm surprised. I grew up with no AC. We used a window fan mounted in the laundry room with the air flow pulling (not blowing) air thru the house. Thank you soooooo much
If you're going for cheap and minimalist, just buy a $6 USB powered fan at Walmart. It's in the fan section. Just doesn't have the fancy mount.
Thanks for sharing this! Im going car camping across the Oklahoma mountains this summer I will need a fan during the day. That fan and a Jackery should keep me happy.
Really well done video! I'm gonna get one of these fans instead of a Roadpro now. Sending you good vibes and quiet parking spots close to the beach
Fans are good for fans👍 and for vans👍👍👌🖖🛸
thanks Chrome... you're the best

Loves truck stops have some 12 volt appliances too
Question, how did you puppy tolerate the heat in the van. My little dog is quite sensitive to the heat.
Krome your van looks great & you are right😊
Love the fan, Chrome! Will definitely be getting one! Thanks for sharing!
DONE! I'm getting this for next summer at least!
I ordered One in black. Now I need a van 😜

So I bought the fan but have no idea how to use it since it did not come with a 12V plug. I am clueless rehow to use it!
Nice fan chrome glad you have a new gadget and it'll keep you and Cruz cold great video too xxx
Ive been staying at a friends for a week or two because of the heat. Getting one!!
Welcome to the D - am - N Mad - N - ess !! ' .. Eye love it , Chrome. And this fan is absolutely Van -Tastic. Again my friend, we love it so much eye bought 2... one in black for the front of the Van, and a white one for the back. Much love brother :)
Darn I'm kicking myself right now. Just got a powerful fan and it takes up a ton of power.
FANtasic! ♥️🚐🎞🌀
Most helpful video on this fan. Thank you!

Great review!👍👍
Thanks much for the info on the fan and batteries etc. Always worth watching. kisses and hugs to da Cruz!
As always you give food for thought, Thanks,
Take a shot every-time Chrome says "freaking". Good luck!
Fan in your van green eggs and ham 👍
Shucks! I thought it was going to rotate in various directions (spinning). Still want one!
Love it Home Boy! I will be checking out that fan for sure. 👍😁👍
How did you wire the fan to the 12v plug? Thank you
Awesome and thank you for the fan info, Chrome! I just purchased this for my van, I used the amazon link you've provided.
Thank you Chrome 🇺🇸🇬🇧🖤❤🖤❤🖤
😃😃love getting your notifications 💘💘💘
Love the charcoal gray button down shirt. Looks really good on u.
That fan is awesome. Got to get one... Thanks for sharing. Peace...

warm winters in canada! hard to believe...maybe vancouver above 0, great video
Good information, I’m definitely on that fan. Thanks for sharing
This dude chrome sounds like a mix of Billy West and Cam Clarke.
Great fan! Thank you for showing how many watts everything uses.
Thanks for the information
You and Cruz are looking so much alike I can't see the difference. 😎
Thanks for the cool vid.
Look! Chrome has a fan club! :D
