Thanks for showcasing our projects, Andrei! It means the world to us that the simulation community is just as passionate about good sounds as we are. The support helps motivate me, and our small team, to keep going and make bigger/better things. 💙🙏
Andrei!! What a great idea to interview Echo19!!! I will definitely be tuning in for that!! This was a great showcase and they did an excellent job!!! Their sound video was amazing!!
Living near an Army Aviation Training base all my life, hearing the Kiowas and Apaches flying over was my childhood. The sound of those wonderful things is happily burned into my memory. Thanks Polychop and Echo 19!
i live by a municipal airfield and its a common occurence for helicopters to fly low over my house. i kid you not, the new kiowa sound sounded alot like one of them flying over and i had to stop and think if there was on there or not haha. amazing sound!
Now that’s the way I hear it in real life!!! I don’t know who had the other sound and thought that’s the way it sounded, but maybe there’s something wrong with their ears?
@@philjones7026 I havent been able to get anything to work on it. Of course the stick still works to fly it but it gives no rotor vibrations, overspeed etc. Do you have a MOZA stick? How did you get yours to have haptic feedback from DCS to your FFB stick?
No worries, let me explain: Polychop (the official dev of the Kiowa) had ECHO 19 work on the Kiowa and in the next UPDATE for DCS World you will see these changes. What do you think? Does that makes it a mod? Is as official as it can get :)
Wow! Thanks for the good news Andrei 🫡 I love the Kiowa and had but one complaint, the sound design. I’m so happy to hear Echo 19 is nearly done with the overhaul. I had heard they were partnering and working on a sound project for it, but I was worried it would take a year or 2. I also want to give kudos to Polychop. They released a finished project and I’m assuming it sold very well. Rather then pocket everything, they hired Echo 19 to improve it. That takes passion and I’m sure isn’t cheap. I think it shows a lot of character on their part. It’s the type of thing that will make me a lifelong customer. The sound sample sounds incredible! Interestingly enough, I used to work with a Bo-105 CBS (with the taller high skid mod) and it sounds remarkably like this. It sounds fantastic. I noticed that you can actually hear the blade harmonics change when he rolls to the left and the swash-plate changed pitch while rotating around the mast. You could hear that change. Thats amazing sound design. At a distance, it has that low rumble purr like Petrovich. It really makes me excited for the future of helicopters in DCS.
@@utley did you tried it? If yes, try to fly sideways (check max. speed you can reach) and backwards (check the same). Compare it to „new“ FM of Gaselle. And finally compare both with FM of OH-6A (free mod). Controls curves are default. And now do the same with UH-1.
@@redrex8003 the UH-1 isnt a Kiowa, nor is it a gazelle or the little bird. All I care about is if it matches the charts of the real deal. It should fly as if it has barely enough power to do its whole range of jobs, not overpowered like the Gaz or little bird. Fun fact: the Gaz has a Hp/weight ratio of .5HP/1lb, which is insane.
@@utley I speak about quality of FM. Try what I described and see the difference. Even FM of LittleBird (mod free of charge) is more accurate than both FMs of an official product for money. The FM of UH-1 is way more accurate.
@@redrex8003 how do you know? it feels weird isnt exactly a logical analysis. what exactly is wrong with the flight model? Ive flown all of the helicopters and they all fly differently from one another - including Tobi's OH6. Frankly, I dont think Tobi's OH6 is all that accurate either but thats my opinion. Hell, even the Apache feels weird to me.

stunning work!! 😮

Those new Kiowa sounds are amazing. I can´t wait for the release.
I was playing this video with my speakers on. I thought a real helo was coming over. Great job.
Keep em coming A.C - great stuff

The sound was the only thing holding me back from this module. WOW. Getting this ASAP!!!!
About time. A helicopter like that should not sound like a tuc-tuc.
Seriously considering this as my next module now. Sounds awesome.
I wouldn’t say I’m excited about it, as I don’t own the module, but I think it’s pretty cool they’re helping out the Kiowa’s developer👍
This is an incredibly good sounding helicopter now
Oooooooh yeah this is what I need thanks for the heads up!

finnaly it sounds like a vaccum cleaner😅😅 nice video❤
dang thats some awesome sounds!
Would prefer if they did something with auto hover/co-pilot in Gazelle. They've screwed up that thing a year and half ago - and we are still waiting.
Sounds like a small 4 bladed - As it should! Good Job Echo19!
Omfg this is proof that the sounds can kill a good module i am so hyped for this
That was AWESOME!
Sounds AWESOME!!! 😛
Love it, want it!!!
Sounds fantastic now
It's time to buy it
I hope they add FFB support for this AC, I haven’t flown it much because of that
It has FFB support. Always did.

Thanks for this video! I am buying it now
Love the content keep up all the hard work that you all do! Petrovich have some extra dinner
I'm sorry i must have missed something, is that going to be an official module update or Echo19 mod update?

@@hipgames Official then! That's great. I'm glad such cooperation is possible. Thank you for clarification.
@@hipgamesit's nice that they are working on a official project especially something like the Kiowa warrior, which honestly was lackluster in sounds

I like it:)
So is this a paid for addon, or is Polychop integrating the sound for free?
I would imagine it’s just a free sound update
usually free, but before it was exterior sounds. Not sure about interior-where we are. Who cares about outside?
this is not MSFS
Better were if I heard Polychop choose somebody who can tweak a flight model more professional.
Second nice heli killed with the same bullet.
hows it bad?
