I've been on your "MY GEAR" link but it seems the backpack on there is not the same as the one in this video? Unless im missing something. What is this bag called please, really want one.
We watch you from the States outside of Washington, DC, and we LOVE your gates, your bridges, your feet shots, your meals, your brews, and of course, Finnie! Our Corgis especially love it when she is on! Forget the naysayers and keep doing what makes us choose YOU over all the other hikers. And, keep up the banter as well…you’re our kind of people!
What a great walk such a beautiful part of the Lake District. Deena a lovely lady ,got the impression Madeira wasn't your type of place. You like your own space and solitude and the Lake District is when you really come to life.Your a lucky guy with a job that means you are in one of the most beautiful areas in the world and love doing it.A rare thing for anyone.
Bittersweet memories for me as the last time l stayed in Elterwater was with my 90 year old dad. He managed the track along Elterwater on his mobility scooter and also Tarn Howes. So glad he had that experience before he dies he loved the Lakes.
Always love your videos my friend - there is always someone for you. You seem a super chap - always about balance and you can make it work if you want, you have a super life indeed!! Thanks so very much!!
This has been an excellent series, really interesting to see lots of other tucked away places around Cumbria and the lakes that a lot of us may not know about. You're not 'broken' just because you find relationships difficult, we're all different and have different needs, being in a relationship is not always the right thing for every single person. I'm exactly the same in that respect and many other people are as well. Most important thing is to enjoy your life and what you're doing as much as possible, which it looks like you definitely are doing.
You are neither sad or a failure! You have just not met the right person! I love your videos and as long asyou make them; as you say you wont be alone! Thanks for all you do in bringing nature and the hills to our homes! A really big sorry here too as my Patreon subscription has not happened for a few months but its a new card xxx
Absolutely lovely series. You and Paul (Hazy) are my favourite outdoor walking channels. I'm waiting for the day that you bump into each other somewhere. Thanks for the relaxing chat and lovely scenery Glenn.
Me and my husband look forward to Sundays and your new videos, we LOVE watching and have recently walked some of the Far Eastern fells from your videos, Thankyou x
42:00 ish - I know exactly what you mean. I've two failed marriages and my last relationship was extremely traumatic. For a long while I was really devastated at the thought of being alone for the rest of my life but now I've come to terms with the fact and I'm actually OK with it. I've had my chances, screwed them up and now it just wouldn't be fair to repeat those mistakes again. I've loved watching this series, by the way. Great scenery and great company. Thank you for making and posting these videos. All the very best to you.
I have a great time seeing you pop up in my feed. These day trips are fun to come along with. Your camping/overnight videos are always a blast, and here's hoping we get to see more of them in the future. Here's wishing you the best and safe travels!
Loving this series and am conscious of the effort you put in to providing us with beautiful videos. Got a lot of respect for your openness and honesty. Being a reflective person is hard and takes courage. I guess we are all broken in some way, I certainly was until I learned to accept and have compassion for myself. Its taken a while but a big part of finding contentment in my life was finding your youtube tube channel and rekindling my forgotten love of the Lake District, a place that brings an enriching soletude ☺️💪👊
I think Google maps should let you film all these walks and add them to Google maps. They could give you a 360 camera to attach to the top of your cap.
Thank you, been coming to this particular part of the all beautiful Lake District for over 50 years and still able to hike there. This is a wonderful series - keep doing them. Looking forward to next Sunday.
Loved todays video, so many places i recognise from races i have ran in the past like Lakeland 50, Lakeland trails 55k etc. and finishing in Coniston which is my favourite place in the lakes, even my dog Coni is named after there 🤣🤣
Absolutely loving this walking series, been looking forward to it each week. Glad the weather held off for this instalment. Keep closing those gates and climbing those stiles.
Loved day 4. All very familiar paths, especially the last stretch that I’m lucky enough to walk a couple of times a week. Looking forward to the final day.
Best hour I have spent all week watching this, the amount of detail you show us of the trail is awesome, and it is the best ever done by anyone on RUclips, thank you so much, I am now considering attempting this myself or at least part of it, Keswick onto Ulverston, I am 66 and not a hiker so would have some work to do to get fit enough, but these videos of your are so inspirational, thank you again... I think the Coast to Coast is a calling you... ;) Just joined the Black Clan... :)
Loving the LOTR references! Saw the first film at the cinema when I was 10 years old, was given the books as a gift after and, like you, had a longing for adventure ignited within me after reading The Hobbit. Thoroughly enjoying this series of videos as well. It's great to get a glimpse of these beautiful places and tread the paths along with you!
Sooooo been looking forward to day 4 & you didn't disappoint. Thank you for all your hard work, time & effort in creating such masterpeices & sharing the beauty that is Mother Nature. That view from the hotel was stunning! Thank you for sharing.
Lovely walk again, and it was so nice to see that you did not get wet! We hope that your leg is better now that you are home! We are looking forward to the last video, hoping you were doing just fine and not hurting on the last leg of your journey! As for the gates, please keep them in, it helps those who may want to walk that way one day knowing what is coming up! Boy, do we appreciate all your talking, it is like we are there with you enjoying a nice walk and a chat! Hoping to see Fenn soon, but you made the right decision keeping her home. She would have been miserable. It seems you are happy as you are young man, and that is what is important! Be blessed as you continue your adventures…Barb and Mike across the pond in North Idaho
Bays Brown is a great site - it’s where I stayed after the second Elterwater Black Clan meet. £14 a night, pitch where you like, decent showers/loos. Definitely a thought for a future Black Mass 🍻🙂
Brilliant and I love your self-deprecating humour. You've just reminded me that Coniston to Great Langdale (because I walked The Cumbria Way in the right direction 😆) was my favourite day.
Totally with you on the fried bread thing! So many possibilities for nosh on the way round that weren't quite open, was feeling it for you 🍦☕ - knew that was it once you hit the Hotel 😂🍺 Excellent stuff 👍👍👍
Good afternoon Craig Thank you so much for the lovely walk and it didn’t rain for you looking forward to the next walk on the sofa with my cuppa well done you walking all the way last one for witch I’ve enjoyed so much thank you x😊
Love your hiking videos & your photography. Listening to you about your relationships & how you feel is like listening to myself. Keep up the great work. 👍
Loving this series Glenn. Sorry to hear about you & Deena, you’re both such lovely souls. I’m back off to the lakes next weekend in mymicro campervan. I love walking in your footsteps, I get so much inspiration from your videos. 😊
Great day 4 video, sorry to hear you say you’re broken and consigned to being on your own. Like when you never give up on your endurance hikes, don’t give up on a relationship coz that also requires an endurance effort. You come across as a genuine, down to earth guy with a good heart, there is a good lady out there who will recognise those qualities 💪🙏
Hi Glenn, excellent day. You can never tire of Great Langdale. Been following your videos for a while & newly subscribed. Look forward to the next one.
Just got to the sticking gate part 😀 and thought about the guy annoyed about filming the opening and closing, and laughed at how he must be furious 😀 Btw, I now have my life planned around your videos haha, I switch off for a while, paint a bit, come back watch a bit more, go back and paint etc Can’t get anything done 😀😀
We bought a couple of Sony RX100ii cameras from MPB for when we are on longer walks. Pretty decent shots from them with a decent quality zoom as well for getting close ups of the Herdy's
You should definitely consider a trip to New Zealand and Hobbiton amongst other Lord of The Rings locations. We managed it this summer from Dubai. Yes the weather was to the extreme as to getting snow days but wow the scenery was amazing everywhere we went. Whilst at Hobbiton and the surrounding countryside of MataMata it definitely reminded me of the Lake District. It would certainly take some planning and funds but I would love to see some vlogs of yours from there. I'm back in Dubai and have just watched all your Cumbria way vlogs. I quite fancy it myself especially making use of hotels and comfy beds every evening. Anyways thanks for the vlogs as always. Stuart.
Loving this series as well as rapidly watching all previous videos. Really fancy doing this now and that’s after watching a couple of others doing the Cumbria way (camping). Think I’ll give it a go. We had to laugh at your indecision regards dinner, I was looking forward to that curry. I said you were a slacker 😆 but I really don’t mean it. The hotel food looked amazing. Google Street View has amazing views from that road near Tarn Hows that was shot in November. It's my desktop wallpaper.
Langdale, Elterwater and Skelly! ❤ our fave area. Great video. Glad you stayed dry for a change!

Thanks for honestly mate. Life can be rough. 😢
I like the gate-opening. We don't have that kind of thing on the trails I've been to in the US. It weirdly reminds me of playing the Myst series.
Great vlog what a great day for views , god this country is so beautiful 🌳🍁🌲🌱
Absolutely loving this walking series, been looking forward to it each week. Glad the weather held off for this instalment. Keep closing those gates and climbing those stiles.

What an absolutely charming route and company, thanks!🍻
That was alright. I'm up lakes tomorrow, Borrowdale. Can't bloody wait. The drive from Bristol is a kick in the nuts though.
It is too late for me to be watching this video but addictive. Thanks for a great trip 😀

Another cracking video. Your better partner is Finn you don't need anything else. However don't give these wonderful videos up xx
Know what you mean about the big DSLR, for this reason I went to mirrorless (Olympus OM D) much more luggable 📷
Thank you for yet another beautiful video, Glenn. How do you manage to look so well despite your questionable 'diet'? Atb.

Loving this series but you never told us why you changed from tap to bottled water??
Maybe meet up with other youtubers who are used to being on camera? Paul Messner perhaps?
Black Crag, did you edit the video at 40:25 so the sign read something rude? Or do they just have funny public toilets in Cumbria nowadays
