I Marie Kondo-ed my closet in December and was so excited to step up my game with what I already had. Well, now I'm quarantining in a different state, with four t-shirts and two shorts, because my extended weekend at my parents' has no return flight in sight. It has been five months. Yay.
I cut my losses in April and started to look at my wins: I did not loose my job, my parents are still healthy and did not loose their jobs. I can sleep more and my mind is free to roam, because I have an empty schedule 😂. I have my faith and I trust in my Creator. I will turn 34 and boy my life looks the same like 29 (no hubby, not even a date, no kids) , but so does my face so it's 🆗☺️

2020 was the one year I actually got to accomplishing my goals 😂 I got the job and salary I wanted, I finally got braces, will be getting a new car, and because I’m working from home I can save to buy a home next year. I just looked at my 2020 goals list and the fact that one was legit "stop isolating" lmao the universe had other plans. Now one thing I am proud of is that I paid off my credit debt last week! Now that was technically a 2019 goal that got pushed back 💀💀💀 but chile we here! I also wanted to get back into art and reading, I bought the supplies but still nothing, but I did finish 1 book (which is more than last year 😭😭). Finally got a stationary bike, cuz I've not been moving lmao ( i was breathing a little too hard going up stairs) - I've actually been able to stick to a schedule these past weeks! It only took until turning 25, but we did it!
I wanted to make my own hand sanitizer when they were sold out. So I bought 100 percent proof rum as I had all the other ingredients but somehow the rum didn't end up as sanitizer if you know what I mean. The intention was there though.

2020 goals: Stop being a homebody, Start dating, Go to events! 😂😂😂 Welp, I spent most of my energy watching RUclips videos, Netflix documentaries, reading more books, and working on my artistic skills. The biggest lesson I learned in 2020 is having self control and motivation to stay productive. 😂
We make plans and God laughs 😅😅 This has been an interesting year. I actually doubled down on my RUclips channel because everything else fell by the way side. We have to find that silver lining. I turned 40 last month and I wanted to spend my 40th birthday in Paris 😏 Oh well. Happy 30th!! Enjoy 😉
I’m turning 40 in September (God willing) and I was supposed to go on a Mediterranean cruise. I never “did it big” for a milestone birthday before, and I was determined that this was my year to do it. Oh well indeed.
As a unit, my older sister and I, we decided the mantra this year was going to be "AS IS" About accepting things as they are. It was also built on " I'm not going back and forth with people" which served us well in 2019. It was also kind of related to our interactions with our mom who was going through a long term illness and was basically bedridden. She died about a month ago. But AS IS has been predictive (I don't think that's a word but) of the kind of attitude to take about all this, Shit show that it is. I also said I was going to stop being "old and washed" and go out more, so there's that too. But with the online classes seeing my kids has kind of reenergized me. I'm very focused on working from home and trying to hone these online experiences for the students I teach.

It dawned on me that... Girl! You've been working full-time, going to school, hustling on the side for hella years. It's ok to sit down; Take a minute and appreciate how far you've come and relax into who you currently are and who you want to become. This "Covid-break" is an opportunity to reinvigorate who we are. Whether its by being 'lazy' and nurturing or by being extremely productive or just by enjoying nature and our loved ones. Love the video... We will continue to strive!

My dry erase calendar has an inspirational quote and just says "Life is like a bicycle, to stay balanced, you have to keep moving forward" That's all I use the calendar for. To help me stay sane (a little). Lol
actually this weird UNPRECEDENTED situation pushed me into a place I havent been before and shifted my thinking. It took some time but I started really progressing in my personal goals (fixing my relationship with food, taking care of my health, learning spanish, being more organized, learning from people around me, letting things work because thats the only way they will, if i let them). hadnt it been for the pandemic i wouldn't have ended up with the people i am with now, and they are one of the best things that have ever happened to me. i got incredibly lucky during this time and i'm crazy grateful for that.
All I wanted was to go to the petting zoo with my close friends for my 30th (don't judge me, sometimes the older you get the more childish you feel like you can let yourself be!) and even that was dashed.
Just remember to be gentle with yourself during these crazy times. Set goals, absolutely. But be flexible with the timelines/deadlines - because God only knows what else 2020 is going to throw at us. 🙏🏽💓☺️ Sending you positive vibes!
It's so difficult to motivate myself to do anything, even though I'm stuck in the house. I'm tired *from doing nothing* all day, and find myself either sleeping or eating all day! I'm supposed to be doing the Lydia Dinga step challenge but I can't seem to get up out the house. I think I may be turning into a shut in. :((( 2020 really is the bastard, redheaded step child nobody wanted.
I have been doing the dinga step challenge, once you start, you really don’t want to stop, plus doing the one thing has been helping me with consistency.
Don't let this go unchecked. It's a mental health thing. Try your best to cheer yourself up and find your motivation. If you don't it will get worse. I'm slowly emerging back after letting myself go from unmotivated to depressed. Do your best to avoid getting worse.

2020 goals: Stop being a homebody, Start dating, Go to events! 😂😂😂 Welp, I spent most of my energy watching RUclips videos, Netflix documentaries, reading more books, and working on my artistic skills. The biggest lesson I learned in 2020 is having self control and motivation to stay productive. 😂
We make plans and God laughs 😅😅 This has been an interesting year. I actually doubled down on my RUclips channel because everything else fell by the way side. We have to find that silver lining. I turned 40 last month and I wanted to spend my 40th birthday in Paris 😏 Oh well. Happy 30th!! Enjoy 😉
I’m turning 40 in September (God willing) and I was supposed to go on a Mediterranean cruise. I never “did it big” for a milestone birthday before, and I was determined that this was my year to do it. Oh well indeed.

As a unit, my older sister and I, we decided the mantra this year was going to be "AS IS" About accepting things as they are. It was also built on " I'm not going back and forth with people" which served us well in 2019. It was also kind of related to our interactions with our mom who was going through a long term illness and was basically bedridden. She died about a month ago.
But AS IS has been predictive (I don't think that's a word but) of the kind of attitude to take about all this, Shit show that it is. I also said I was going to stop being "old and washed" and go out more, so there's that too.
But with the online classes seeing my kids has kind of reenergized me. I'm very focused on working from home and trying to hone these online experiences for the students I teach.
I just turned 30 in may and my dirty 30s is... just DIRTY at this point 💁🏾♀️thanks 2020 🥺

It dawned on me that... Girl! You've been working full-time, going to school, hustling on the side for hella years. It's ok to sit down; Take a minute and appreciate how far you've come and relax into who you currently are and who you want to become. This "Covid-break" is an opportunity to reinvigorate who we are. Whether its by being 'lazy' and nurturing or by being extremely productive or just by enjoying nature and our loved ones. Love the video... We will continue to strive!

The only goal I accomplished was to get my hair to grow and how to refresh my hair style without adding in frizz. I’m satisfied with that.

actually this weird UNPRECEDENTED situation pushed me into a place I havent been before and shifted my thinking. It took some time but I started really progressing in my personal goals (fixing my relationship with food, taking care of my health, learning spanish, being more organized, learning from people around me, letting things work because thats the only way they will, if i let them). hadnt it been for the pandemic i wouldn't have ended up with the people i am with now, and they are one of the best things that have ever happened to me.
i got incredibly lucky during this time and i'm crazy grateful for that.
I wanted to go to French Polynesia. So far I’ve been to the bathroom.

It's so difficult to motivate myself to do anything, even though I'm stuck in the house. I'm tired *from doing nothing* all day, and find myself either sleeping or eating all day! I'm supposed to be doing the Lydia Dinga step challenge but I can't seem to get up out the house. I think I may be turning into a shut in. :(((

Don't let this go unchecked. It's a mental health thing. Try your best to cheer yourself up and find your motivation. If you don't it will get worse. I'm slowly emerging back after letting myself go from unmotivated to depressed. Do your best to avoid getting worse.
@@f.-j.j.5738 Thank you for the advise. I've tried getting a mental health specialist before the lockdown in NYC , which my OBGYN recommended, but I ended up not going. Since it is very difficult for me to leave the house, I want to look into online medical help.

-visit friends who live far away from me in different states
