What do you guys think about Yoshi in this game? Also let me know which characters you want to see me talk about next!
EDDY video soon?
I love Yoshimitsu but something is off about him in T8 that doesn't make him enjoyable for me. I used to always enjoy clips or tournament plays with him but now it's not nearly as interesting. And also seeing how many toxic so called Yoshimitsu players just picked him in T8 hurts so I'm really waiting for chunky nerfs for him to pick him again. Funny addition about Flash or Soul Stealer I think it was the best in Tekken 4 when it actually was true to its name. Imo it's way more interesting to actually steal moves from other characters and implement them in Yoshimitsu combos rather than stealing rounds.
@@manjiookami7962 in tekken 3 and tag tournament the name was Yoshimitsu Flash, they changed it in tekken 4 with new properties
@@SlashpLOder oh really? Didn't know that. It's still called Soul Stealer though despite not having an effect of soul stealing🥴
@@manjiookami7962 yeah they have forgotten to change the name too :D
The downplay of this character for months solidified to me that the playerbase has no idea what to do in terms of balance
It made me realize, as someone who first was really in the smash scene, that the downplaying and dumb takes are present even in a community that considers itself a legitimate fighting game, and its strange seeing
Yeah. A lot of game developers have adopted a phrase for themselves: “players are good at finding problems, but terrible at making solutions”
@@citrusblast4372people don’t like to admit their character is overpowered and pros don’t want their character gutted so it makes sense tbh
Actual broken character being downplayed, while trash char like DJ actually getting up-played by some people saying "git gud" bcs hes "not that bad" and people just need to practice
Casual players are needed for fighting games to survive financially but god do they ever give us constant garbage takes. Thank lord the tekken team can piece out which is constructive criticism and which is bad players whining.
One of my friend has over 1000 hours of tekken 7 yoshi and he's damn near untouchable in 8. He's broken
He's only broken if you don't know the matchup :)
@@EpsilonKnight2 In Tekken 7, sure. Not in tekken 8
@@zachm1007 No it's very much the same in T8. He just has more 50/50 scenarios he can put you in. Compared to a lot of other characters his offense is actually pretty slow. He blows you up for hesitating and letting him run offense.
yoshi was the first character i picked up in t8 exactly as you said because his design was so incredible and i also love sword characters from other fighting games. he has been my main since then because he is just so fun to play as and has so many options . i always dread the yoshi mirror match in ranked because you never know what the other yoshi will be doing and who out-yoshi who. amazing character
Having the Soul Calibur team work on Tekken Yoshi has paid off. From SC4 onwards the (Japanese) voice actor performance has been stellar. Now I feel that Tekken has caught up. This is the best Yoshi has been stylistically & competitively in Tekken, & I love that some of his Soul Calibur 6 moveset has crossed over too.
I believe other than the reasons mentioned there is one more thing that factors into Yoshi's popularity, especially in High level T8: Yoshi is the only character that has the defensive tools to consistently deal with the otherworldly offensive pressure that every Character possesses in this game. He can severely punish people who are playing predictably. It's T8's biggest problem imo opinion. And Yoshi negates that.
Definitely a very good point I should have mentioned thst
That's the actual problem. The game rewards aggression not defense, unless you're playing one of the defensive characters. There's basically only 4, and Yoshimitsu forces everyone to slow down or mix timing including other Yoshimitsu players.
Most of the other stuff people hate is very good and mostly same as it was last game, adjusted for t8 or even nerfed.
Honestly I don’t really care about him being overpowered or anything. He’s funny sword guy that trolls his opponents, I just love anything and everything about him.
That's Yoshi in a nutshell
He was stupid broken good in Tekken 3. Even T8 Yoshimitsu has nothing on his T3 iteration. It's misleading to label Flash as a parry, it's a regular move with a (tiny) hitbox. Something else which needs mentioning is that in T8 he only regains grey health in Indian and Meditation stances as opposed to regular health, meaning you have less incentive to chase him, which is what he wants. He's still Yoshimitsu, but they buffed his damage and reduced his ability to heal, essentially changing how the character works.
Flash is 6 frames at its fastest, only NSS and Heat make it 8 frames
Thanks for the info didn’t know this
@@groundbeef_ You're right I thought it was 8SS/10NSS for some reason, need coffee
Yep , he's pretty good in 5 I hear as well

Yoshi main since T4. I fell in love with this character first time i saw his visual design. I immediately thought that he's the most badass game character I've ever seen. That's why i started maining him. All of these years OG Yoshi mains were just enjoying the character they play and nothing more. And now when Yoshi became stronger - (FIRST TIME in 30 years) whole Tekken community now just destroying us with endless hate. People just forgot about tons of nerfs on the release when Yoshi's sword stance flash and his health recovery were nerfed. Why no one called him S tier before that? What happened now? Yes Yoshi is strong, and i really think he needs some damage nerfs, but also i think that people overcomplaining too much.
I agree that he’s definitely over hated. There’s tons of characters who deserve way more hate and who are way more annoying
I feel like a lot of newer folks simply don't know the matchup. They approach him like a regular Tekken character and that's not how you approach Yoshimitsu. Experienced players know exactly how to shut him down.
Agree. He is strong & top tier, but not as crazy as dragunov. Yoshi players can barely win tournaments unlike dragunov.
Fuck off, unblockable low launcher, insane damage, healing, idiotic evasion, steel peddle, flash, You’re not playing Tekken, brain dead 50/50s, that’s why your character is hated.
Reasons why yoshi in this game is broken
1. Flash: yoshi is the only character in the game who can completely change your fifty/fifty mixup potential (A game where almost all the characters are stance fifty/fifty casino playstyle based). When i play against a yoshi (i play bryan btw) and i land a heat engager i can't take my free fifty/fifty instead i will need to wait and bait out the flash on a timing mixup instead.
2. Spinny sidestep: his spinny sidestep that he can do by pressing either b3 or b4 is unbelievable amounts of broken. This allows him to side step even some of the homing moves in the game.(A game where sidestepping is buffed and yoshi is the only character that can completely side step your mixups and whiff punish you for it instantly).
3. Mixup, range and oki potential: ok just the two reasons given above does not make yoshi broken but add those two reasons and give yoshi his own stupid mix ups and congrats you have a disaster. Yoshi has unblockable mixups, stance mixups, mid oki guard break, mix up in his strings that give more mixups after a stance transition(i.e if you guess right by the way), hit confirmable heat engagers, mid crushing stance(talking about flea stance), an unblockable high that is really hard to punish if you duck it(talking about his bad breath), he can heal himself which forces you to rush into him and not give him space, he has unbelievable range because of his sword, can waste time by literally flying into the air and if you try and catch him landing then beware because he comes while using a unblockable sword hit, really good pick up potential with d22( his sword low pick up i mean), a jumping low which he can cancel and so much more that if i tried to type it out it will be hours and this comment is already long enough
1. If you're getting flashed at +17, you're being far too greedy with what you're trying to follow up with. In fact, I'm curious, what exactly is your go-to '50/50' after a heat engager with Bryan?
2. Evasive spin does not evade homing moves. Period. If the homing move in question did whiff while he was doing it, then it wasn't in range in the first place. This has been the case since homing moves were first introduced in T6.
Constructive criticism: don't preface your argument with barefaced falsehoods.
@@strykah92 alright here we go
1. I am using qcb1,qcb3 and qcb4 for the mix ups(for context qcb1 which I use the most comes at 13 frames) that +17 when you land a heat engager is not +17 the running animation takes up some of the frames from that +17 that's why qcb1 which comes at 13 frames can get flashed and sometimes if i delay the move ever so slightly then even my neutral 4 which comes out 12 frames can get flashed at that +17.
2. The evasive spin move has infact made my homing moves whiff on multiple occasions even when I am right next to the Yoshi and it's not just me many youtubers I have seen have complained about the spinning move making the homing move whiff if the Yoshi holds the spin move for long. (Moves in question that are whiffing are bryan's 1+2,df4, jin's 4, hell i was playing heihachi literally today against my friend who plays Yoshi and he literally made heihachi's b3 whiff with the a really small spinny move and whiff punished me immediately. So i don't know whose homing moves have been hitting your Yoshi but you are clearly doing something wrong there with either the timing or just straight up direction of the spinning move.
Now take this constructive criticism that i have shown with my experience and respect it before you start thinking about saying stuff like barefaced falsehoods in my criticism
Xiaoyu also has a flash move but it only puts you into a backturn mixup if it hits.
@@strykah92as a yoshi player, I would call the evasive spin “broken” but not necessarily in that it’s op (tho it IS incredibly strong), but it’s “broken” in that it really flips the thinking around it.
It’s considered an attack, not a sidestep, so certain homing moves won’t actually home in on it because the game doesn’t think you’re sidestepping. While certain moves that don’t typically home as well might home even better against sidespin.
@@renfujiara9696 heat engagers are true +17, the running animation lets you buffer everything including slides crouch dash and running moves. get back in the lab
So I am a Yoshi/DvJ main... have mained Yoshi since tekken 7s release.
I will not downplay how good Yoshi is now but I want to offer one tidbit of info that will tremendously help you against him.
Get good at sidestepping. If you are a bear... well sorry.
Almost all of Yoshis moveset have awful tracking as well as their follow ups in the strings. I know sidestepping is scary to learn especially in ranked and very tough/annoying to lab. But if you have anyone that plays Yoshi decently, play them in some friendlies and experiment. You may be surprised how much you can limit his moveset with movement.
Again to any angrybois, i am ij no way trying to imply he isnt strong af, just offering 1 major weakness he actually does have. On top of earning you big punishes when you sidestep him, you will also get in the Yoshis head once they realize "omg i cant flow chart this guy anymore bc he wont stop sidestepping!" A lot of yoshis are already overloaded thinking about all their options for a situation and when you erase 80% of his neutral tools they will likely be mentally "stunlocked" wondering what they can even do about it. This is something that hit me hard after getting to around tekken king when i started facing people with solid movement.
Extra info: in general, randonly sidestepping characters or flowcharting sidesteps will get you caught too much and you will lose matches, but against Yoshi... agaij you may be surprised how effective yolostepping is.
This is the game I decided to main yoshi. Didn't think he was gonna be ridiculous
Solid video, very good stuff 👌
As a yoshi enjoyer for 19years,I'll say that the biggest strength of Yoshi is how fun he is. His playstyle has always been charismatic in a way, forever extremely joyous and addictive.
Whether he's doodoo, mid or strong, he's always a bliss to play as and against.
There hasn't been a Tekken game where he wasn't my most used char, and probably never will. Buffed or nerfed, he'll always be top tier in my eyes, whether it's Tekken5 or TekkenTag5.
There were a handful chars I did not enjoy in T6, in Tag2, in T7 or T8, and usually different in each game, but Yoshi has consistently been fun as af.
It’s really true, hard to find another yoshi plays like your last opponent who played yoshi,or if you play him,u can switch the styles between the rounds and make your opponent cluelessXD
Yoshi's damage output certain got a buff ever since day one of Tekken 8
Us Lili mains know the struggle against Yoshi 😩
It’s rough out there
Nah, it's just that he's overpowered that's why he's popular.
Winner winner ... chicken dinner

Bullshit, he already had a relatively hich pickrate on release when most people had no clue about tier lists. He also has a low winrate in higher levels. If someone wants to tierwhore there are definitely easier characters to pick up.
@@sleepenjoyer-on2dr don't even try to explain that, haters are immune to facts
I have always found it funny that people say Yoshi is broken in this game. He is definitely strong, however, most of his stuff is only "broken" because of how Tekken 8 is designed (despite the fact that he was never strong, is his first time lol). Flash was always "broken" in book, but very manageable in past games like Tekken 7 due to the pace of the game, but in this game, everything is just so overly fast/plus and aggressive that players in my Tekken Emperor matches are just constantly pressing attack buttons and getting flashed cuz they're used with the "plus frame hit after plus frame hit and it is still my turn to act" braindead way of playing Tekken 8. I have genuinely beaten players by just interfering with their non-ending plus frame "combos" with Flash. Tekken has an insane amount of characters, each having more than 100 moves or so, and Yoshi has about 180+ not counting secret moves. He is a complete gimmick character, designed for you to learn how to play against HIM, not Tekken, that's how it always has been. So Being irritated by a gimmick character having a game-changing gimmick is understandable, however, STILL calling those moves like spin evade, unlockables, or Flash broken is just coping. I've been playing Yoshi since T5, he was never a "good" character, just a fun one. Calling him overpowered now that he is strong and some players can't deal with having to stop aimlessly pressing buttons is a skill issue. Learn the matchup, or keep losing. Yoshi may be nerfed 100 times from now on, but in the end, you'll still get hit Flash because you were mashing, and eventually by double seppuku to lose the match.
Flash is not what makes Yoshi OP in 8.
@theftking then what is it? People said flash, got nerfed, they still cry about it. People said Spin Evade, getting nerfed, they will still cry about it cuz is still there, just more risk due to health damage. So what makes Yoshi OP in T8? Damage? Every character does damage. Unblockable? It's always been there, that's a matchup issue.
THE YOSHI VIDEO IS FINALLY HERE
lol sorry for all the delays
The true secret about Yoshimitsu is that he isn't even that hard to figure out to play. His moves are all very distinctive (unlike Hwoarang or Steve that just have 5000 kicks and punches that look the same), you aren't forced into stance on most of his moves like a lot of other characters and his baby combos do decent damage with bonus healing.
He is somehow annoying but loved and I think it's because he is so fun to watch. Everyone loves seeing Yoshi troll others but when you're being trolled it's painful. Such is life I guess.
I am a loyal Yoshi main since tekken 3. but I really hope they nerf him to ground so atleast we can keep playing yoshi in peace, cuz it's not fuckin fun to hear people bitch about him all the time
Nice to know you want to abuse people online while also expecting them to keep quiet about the abuse.
Yes it would be AMAZING for him to get nerfed to the ground so all you yoshi clowns who keep downplaying him start crying about how "unfair" it is now. Kick rock
People bitch about everything lol. He's not even a big tournament winning character yet people say he's broken. Where's the Evo Yoshi champ?
Nah, why should he be nerfed to the ground because people cry? Let them cry who cares.
@@AliHassan-ki2fq it's way too much man. They keep whinning about everything. It was so fun in tekken 7 when nobody was mad about Yoshi cuz he didn't had damage. Most of his moves they bitch about now already existed in tekken 7 but nobody cared enough to complain then but god forbid yoshi gets some love in this game and deals some real damage Now everyone is loosing their shit.
@@Kingkaindal because they are bots. Yoshi is legit one of the hardest characters to play. Half these people crying play the scrubbiest characters. I dont pay any attention. They will cry no matter what. They just want everyone else nerfed except their main.
I think he’s popular because he’s cool asf and i would pick him too as a first timer, and of course after the pros said he’s busted, people who want to play strong characters started picking him
just nerf his damage, make guard break 13 frames instead of 14, and also remove his counterhit launcher on 1,1. then you fix a lot of his issues. If people keep complaining about it then you would have sucked against t7 yoshi anyways.
14 frame guard break is perfect
No need to do anything less or more
Yoshi doesn't have any 13 frame move that atleast knocks down opponent
@@SoulStealer_499 no its not perfect, being able to get a heat engager from it+ combo is broken. He doesn't need a knockdown either, a simple Df1, 4 is good enough, and if they are too far away df4.
@@KobePlaysGacha a simple df1,4 makes no meaning for all the effort u put into the guard break setup
Also most players can easily avoid the guard break in high rank
@@SoulStealer_499 it doesn't take much effort to get the guard break dude lmfao.
@@KobePlaysGacha easy to do the move
Hard to make it work
Doing a guard break to get a simple df1,4 is lame
Your idea is not really balancing the game either
7:10 yoooo I didn't even know he could do this! that's awesome.
(I think) every character can do some variation of this against the wall. Back, Up/back back - Although I think some characters attack as part of it, rather than just hop over them (like king for example).
Edit: unless you meant the back handspring, then I think that’s almost a female exclusive move.
Back, up back for the backflip. All characters have a wall specific ability by pressing back, back, up back. Yoshimitsu’s wall move is one of the better ones because it can reposition him with the opponent towards the wall. Besides Yoshi, I know that Lei had the same ability in the previous game.
It was an interesting contrast that he was bottom in most Tekkens while always mid to top in every Soul Calibur :D
I think the worst part is that even if you are on the offense yoshi still has flash so the thought of him using it mid string makes you doubt your own offense
He's so strong that I stopped playing him... then T8. Im a Yoshi player not a Tekken player.
btw, he had 1,1 df1,4 df2 and b22 in T7. Outside of the heat properties they are pretty much unchanged.
One of your best videos yet keep up the scripted stuff
Appreciate it
I don't remember if Yoshi was top tier before T8. I've heard that he used to be quite good in T3 and Tag1, but not as good as Jin or Ogre. Then he was ok in T4, Tag2 and T7, mid in T5 and T5DR, and bottom 5 in T6.
I dunno if it's better to nerf his damage and buff his healing or it's the other way - dude could heal himself up to max hp in previous games if Yoshi main knew what they were doing.
It's a shame EyeMusician doesn't travel because he's a menace with Yoshi
The unblockable low in particular is tricky. Its not just beginners and intermmediates eating that, even highlevel and pro players get hit. Dont worry, its not yur reaction time being bad/low block instincts just overwriting all the time
The reason is because of its speed in relation to how fast you can avoid it. You can react to Yoshi doing the move from crouch, but if yur reacting to the move itself, you WILL get hit. The common way to defend against it is low crushing, the issue is that low crush is usually at the 8th frame from doing a hopkick and stuff, so if yur reacting to the purple spark, its basically a 19f low.
TLDR, its a move you react to with Yoshi going into crouch rather than the spark, which is why Yoshi has the chance to do a 50/50 here, because reacting to the purple spakr itself will be difficult
Yoshi can do sword sweep basically instantly with a shortcut and also do it invisibly after a df3 since it leaves him in crouch state which makes reacting even harder. The proper counter is a backdash a lot of the time since the range is really short.
Yoshi doesn’t bother me as much as Nina and drag. He’s still annoying to fight tho.
if only zato can get this much of a glowup
Sergei and Yoshi have always been really good characters
6:45 not adding a clips with the yell here is criminal
lol very true I’ll add one randomly in the next video to make up for it
Yoshi was the best character un tekken 7. People don't like to think like a computer
The one thing i want to mention, and i hope that it won't be seen as downplaying, is that his combos need a bit of work and optimisation. Sure he has high damage, but in order to utilise his full potential, you have to learn every damn combo route and there are plenty of them, depending on :what stance you have (sword or no sword), in what stage are you playing (how far do you need to extend your wall carry), are there any wall or floor breaks, which combo ender won't whiff near the wall, are you going to go in with heat dash, etc. He has many different optimal combo routes and as a Yoshi main myself ( currently Raijin), i still find it difficult sometimes to pick the right route and that often costs matches. His easy combos wont go higher that 65-75 dmg, while other characters have higher combo damage, with less routes, easier execution and more input windows.Overall , it's sad that the community cries about him , considering that this character receives the love and the spotlight he deserves. He didn't have that for many years and that's unfair.
Saying you have to know the routes to get damage with a char that has 4 stances is a down play.... in fighting games they make some chars harder (doesn't always end up that way) because some people like playing chars that are hard and just because they are hard doesn't mean they should be broken (not saying yoshi "broken" but he needs some taps for sure)
@@rongill1234 It's not downplaying...It states that the character has a level of difficulty. Because somewhere in the video there was a statement like "easy" or something.
@@rongill1234four stances and two of them are super situational
Personally for me, I feel like this was literally the best & the worst time to pick Yoshi as a main.
Because he is now played as a Swordsman
“Iyooooooooo” - yoshimitsu
0:16 dont forget King, Law and Kuma !!!!!!!
They are not considered since the original king, kuma died meanwhile Law wasn't playable in tekken 3
ill be honest, im new and chose yoshi cause he looked the coolest.
I didnt know how mad stupid he is in this game but i ligit got kinda spolt with him and have a difficulty trying someone new.
I think a lot of people are like that he just looks so cool
3:59 so he is now overpowered because no one is playing actual tekken anymore bcs it is impossible to do. Even the very topplayers are saying this😅. T8 is about nonsensical spam, something Yoshi is just good at... combine this with flash in this steingheavy spamgame and you have a godtiercharacter, not because yoshi is so good but because tekken isnt really tekken anymore.. rip
I've been playing Yoshi since Tekken 7 and I can agree with a lot of people on one big thing in Tekken 8, he does do too much damage. I think if he did less than he does now, then people wouldn't be too angry about him. However stuff like spin and flash I don't have an issue with because they are strong defensive tools in an insanely aggressive game which makes them seem busted af. He's an amazing character now and I think they should just rebalance his damage, even if they nuke it to T7 Yoshi damage, it'd be okay because his frames aren't the best, his pokes are average, but his set ups and mindgames are insane
I would love to watch a video about your character wish list, both returning and guest characters.
Great idea!
The unblockables damage is worse. I do a max damage staple that does 58, while in t7 i could do 65 and the max health was lower. Other unblockables have been removed or nerfed.
Nerf his ass. Cheapest character.
From a gimmick character to a broken overpowered, namco ruined this character
He’s not broken at all, people just don’t want to lab the matchup. He’s the easiest win you can get in tekken 8 if you actually know how to face him. He has alot of highs in between 2nd hits of strings, has to take massive risks. extremely unsafe gambles and just learn to bait flash. I have a 75% win rate against him so I honestly don’t understand why people think he’s broken when he’s not even winning major tournaments

Will you be making a video on Heihachi?
Yes very soon actually
V1.08 just nerfed the spin. Double self damage. Still can evade stuff that nothing else can when used skillfully. In my opinion they could have added a few extra recovery frames to flash too to make it easier to launch punish when whiffed. They did the same for Leroy’s b1+2 back in the day. Flash is fair if misuse (spam) gets punished hard. It should be a hard read tool.
Yoshi will get even more popular now that Drag and Nina got nerfed. And Drag and Alisa are getting more nerfs waiting in 1.09. Spin nerf isn’t likely going to be enough as everybody above him will be nerfed.
i really wanted to pick up yoshi when i started with tekken 8. I love these shitty joke characters, so I was both surprised and a little disappointed when he turned out to be arguably top 5. Like, he has all of the goofy shit, but he also just has some of the best tools in the game so he stops being a goofy joke character and just becomes annoying
Its because he doesnt even have to play tekken. Theyre playing an entirely different game
now they included Yoshi in the Heihachi story but made him look more like a Clown and Lidia's lesser accesorry.. hes not even an equal rival to Bryan fury now
Haven’t played the new story yet but it’s really cool yoshi gets a decent role in it
Yeah, one of the reasons why yoshi is good in this game, is because tekken 8 feels like one big mash-fest to me. He can just flash you in the face.
Otherwise, I never really had a problem playing against him, maybe because I play him myself. But yoshi just feels like the only character in this game with no BS hit boxes exept for that Pogo sword stance :D
Coming from a Yoshi main since Tekken 3, unapologetically, learn the matchup now that he's good and you're finally running into him online.
Bryan does more DMG than yoshi and can do more DMG easier than him without a wall.. people overstate how much damage he does. Yoshis redesign was needed and it made him a more fun character because his stances were incomplete in T7. That’s why he was so bad and his damage was also bad too. You also had to rely on flash too much in T7. Now, we actually have options. Yoshis unblockables are slow.. especially the sweep and his sweep doesn’t lead to a full combo. It’s like a mini combo, but it’s still good.
The fact that more people use him just shows how much fun he is. Seeing people play a characters a good thing because now people are playing the game.
And all his stances have weakness. Indian stance is probably his worse stance because it’s insaneelyyyyy slow
We gotta remember that almost every single person commenting is lower than tekken king ranks. Aka they don't know matchups, how to move/sidestep, and rely on their opponents being locked in place while they do their same pressure/mixups that they do everytime. Yoshi is frustrating to them bc he breaks the rules and they cant mindlessly press just bc they are a tiny bit plus.
I am not claiming Yoshi isn't super strong, but he has some weaknesses but they will never know. They will be mad. Anyone that wants to win more against Yoshi, literally just start sidestepping either direction anytime you are -4 to +4 and you will whiff punish him almost everytime. His moves are crazy strong but super linear. He legit has like 3 tracking moves in neutral, none of which lead to combos.
Anyone thinking I am downplaying... no I am not, he is strong af in this game, but I am offering you a bit of advice that I know will help you. YOLOSTEP yoshis until they prove to you that they are accounting for it. By the time you make them respect your movement you will see their playstyle become very passive.

0:16 Hasn’t King also appeared in every mainline Tekken game?
He was
Does*
Technically a different King. King the 1st was in Tekken 1 and 2 and was killed prior to T3. From T3 onward it has been King the 2nd.
Nah people are overreacting on Yoshi and I don't even play him.
?! How its unexpected ? Move kit from tekken7 + damage from tekken 8 .
Yoshi is Top 1 man
I think alot of people picked him because every stream said hes top teir and well, that it..
I hate Yoshimitsu, specially in T8 xD
Its for the braindead that panick flashes/spin at every interaction LOL
Bears still at the bottom gang 😔 :p
There is nothing they can do really exept nerf the combo damage and maybe pressure. Anything else is just annoying and ruinous.
and that's exactly what i have been saying. if you hate yoshi so much. TRY HIM YOURSELF. you'll love him
flash isn't a parry
Yoshimitsu and king taking over tekken 8 after being so mid for such a long time is *chef kiss*
Yeah it’s awesome to see
Yoshi is just a stupid character has always been even in the first game he’s a troll character his whole thing is just do stupid things but thats the problem in tekken 8 all his little gimmicks he has are just buffed in tekken 8 add on top of that heat, rage and damage you get an insanely broken character all the devs need to do is take him back to his tekken 7 version where hes just isnt good and their would be less complaints theirs no reason a character like yoshi same goes for xiyaou they should have ridiculous damage and insane heat if they did all these their would be less complaints would still be annoying but at least it fixes the issues.
Where that azucena hate video 😏
I play yoshi but I rarely come across any yoshi players. Don’t get this at all
I rarely fight Yoshi in Ranked. But I get matched with 1-4 Yoshi every time I play in Quick Match.
@@Grace-Zed maybe that’s where numbers are ? I never play casual, only ranked. Even though I main yoshi I’m bad at mirror match because I run into a yoshi maybe 2 times in a week of playing, if that even. It’s always Jin, Brian, dragonov with a bit of kazuya and horang. Generally always same characters. I play around Fujin rank.
Yoshi is extremely popular at the high ranks not sure what rank your at but it could maybe be because of that
@@Notwedsquidhigh ranks translates into a player with an even higher ranked character playing Yoshi as their side piece usually. He is super fun.
Sadly most of these charts don't really account for a single player playing multiple characters. Makes judging these things relatively hard not knowing anything other than the raw data.
@@Sicknificant1 no im like actually serious in the higher ranks yoshi is everywhere same for alisa and xiayou even though they dont have a highest of pick rate their extremely common in bushin tekken king to tekken god
I'm just wondering if Alica OP, why do I rarely meet her since her new standard design has gotten better too?
I meet Nina online on a par with Yoshi.
I wish I could see Alica online more often to learn how to play better against her.
xiaoyu next :)
literally crying about yoshi when he isnt even top 5 😂 the only tournament players seeing success are the same exact people who were playing him already in tekken 7....i wonder why a bunch of pros picked him up for a couple of weeks and then dropped him in favor of nina etc?
go make a video about dragunov feng jin alisa or nina too while youre at it
To be fair if you watched the whole video and listened he stated multiple times he thinks the popularity has to do mostly with character loyalist and his awesome redesign/looks. I'm pretty sure OP even specifically mentioned that someone intentionally picking an OP character would likely gravitate towards drag/nina/Shaheen since they are stronger and "easier" to learn.
can’t believe they nerf nina but not this annoying pos… rip nina
They actually did give Yoshi a relaticely significant nerf. His spin does almost double the damage to himself than it did before, which is unrecoverable damage as well.
Git gut scrub
The yoshi hate is unbelievable. Yoshi is one of the best character designs in the game. If you think yoshi is op or broken you are just a scrub and you should stick to MK.
