David Hamilton’s speech giving me my Anubis Improv Diploma.

After finishing all 4 levels of Anubis Improv’s Improv course, 8 weeks each level, we graduated.
We are the first class to graduate!
After the teachers did the first set, we did ours. Which was then followed by a graduation ceremony.
We were presented with a pin and a diploma. One of the students brought their old mortar board, so we passed it to each person as they were called forward .
There were 7 of us and one of the teachers gave a speech about us after handing bud our diploma.
There are 4 teachers so some had to take 2 students.
David Hamilton is the founder / owner/ operator of Anubis Improv. Three of us started in David’s Improv for Actors in January of 2020.
David took the last too speeches as we have taken everything he has offered, including workshops.
He had me go last. You will hear why in his speech.

My first time working background was on Jay & Silent Bob Reboot. I’ve since talked to Kevin Smith through the A.K.A.’s in “That Kevin Smith Club.” (I don’t have copies to share here) Kevin recognizes me and said I was his favorite side story from the reboot, because it lit a fire under me and I took off down the acting path.
That’s why I say we’re friendly but I wouldn’t presume to call him a friend. I’d be happy to count him as a friend but I’m in more in the range of fan to acquaintance to be honest.
