I find a lot of these on the two courses near my home! I hit them at the range to see what they can do! They remind me of a range ball. Thanks for the review.
Hey sir! Congrats on improving your swing speed and congrats on your new gear. Looks like things are looking up! Thank you for the review as well. I have never had the desire to try the warbird and now it'll definitely stay that way.
I play them almost every time I play and they're fine. I'm not going on tour any time soon so they work and if I put one in the lake, I'm not going broke.
That's a spot on review, I found a Warbird on the course the other day and being a Callaway supporter of equipment I can honestly say this ball is the worst feeling ball I have ever used. I swing my driver between 108-113 and hit this ball on the center of the club, It totaled around 300 yards but the feeling was "tinny". I then went to the next par 3, Hit a 7 iron and with most normal balls I could tell you where on the club I hit the ball, With this ball I couldn't feel anything, Compression, Launch, spin , Nothing , It went the yardage needed but it truly was a horrible feel. Thanks for the review, I thought maybe it was just me.
I really appreciate you taking the time to give me this feedback. There's actually been quite a few people who have disagreed with me and say they love the golf ball. Which is fine, it's different for everybody. But I was pretty adamant and confident about the feeling and results of the test
Interesting results. I'm a high handicap and a slower swing speed and these are the balls I used most last year. For me, they help with the distance but putting leaves something to be desired. Putting is when I notice the firm feel. On another note, thanks to your review, I'm trying out the Wilson Staff Zip golf balls. Those are nice!
Interesting. (60 yr old / 12 handicap / golfing 2 years) I found two of these and gave them a try and really liked it. My average driver swing speed is 96mph. The first three practice drives I hit went 245, 247, and 251 total distance, had almost too much height and were all fairly straight. I usually average 215 using a Srixon Soft Feel. I went ahead and used them in my weekly scramble league and had the same results with my driver. I had both good distance and a higher trajectory with my mid-irons as well. Being a scramble league I switch (legal by our local rules) to Pro-V1 for anything
@mikeburch8467 they don't spin well but they're incredible for distance! By far the longest ball I've ever hit. I find the srixon soft feel similar to Kirkland in that it loses a ton of distance. Maybe I just overcompress it. But it's kind of like hitting a pillow as far as feel. Same with the Q star. 🤷
I’m a 10 handicap with decent short game, 105-110 swing speed, and a wild driver. One of the reasons I play this ball is for low spin. I’ve never noticed a bad feel to the ball, not sure I would notice it. I don’t have trouble putting (average 29 putts a round). I like that this ball is cheap. I love that I’ve hit my 5 iron 250 multiple times with this ball, I love that I’ve hit driver 350 multiple times with this ball. Overall I like the ball, but my game has gotten better over the last few years. any recommendations for a step improvement? Other balls to try that may be more expensive but will have e better results?
Yeah this golf ball is definitely aimed at the faster swing crowd. A five iron 250? That's Bryson dechambeau levels. There's a few golf balls I could recommend, but I would ask that you hold off for another week or so. I have a review coming on a golf ball that is extremely well priced and I think would fit your swing speed very well.
@@GolfBallAddict awesome thank you!! And yes I have a 6’8” wingspan and played D1 sports so hitting the ball far has always come to easy to me. I’ve always thought I needed a low spin ball, not sure if that’s the case anymore.
Was given a dozen as a father days gift. Can’t stand how the feel in your hand & hoped my first swing would have sent it into the after it left the club. Immediately gave that dozen away. On par with a Nitro
@GolfBallAddict I actually love these balls off the tee. They absolutely fly and sound incredible off my driver. Using a Nike Ignite 460. I get a huge amount more distance with these than any other ball. Don't like them around the green tho. Prefer a soft ball. TP5 is my top choice.
@saltysteel3996 amazing for distance. Best out there imo. But horrible for spin. Luckily I hit a very high ball so it'll still stick but not when chipping or shorter pitch shots. Thoroughly enjoying the Bridgestone Tour B XS lately. Seems to be pretty similar distance to the Warbird (not quite as long) but has way better control in every aspect. And super consistent.
I'm flummoxed by your review. I'm 74, a 20 handicapper, and I really like the Warbird. My swing speed (with driver), might be 90 on a good day. Distances are slightly better for all clubs, as compared to other balls, and all are hit high. I didn't notice anything either way around the greens. Our mentalities must be completely opposite since I also like 3 of your 5 most overrated balls. :)
LOL Fair enough. I always tell my subscribers all the time, that every golf ball will perform differently for everybody in some way. We've all got different clubs, swing styles, etc.
Im playing them at the moment. I thought it was the new to me irons giving me the stinger on the miss hit but apparently the ball? Tbh, id rather have solid feedback like that.
There's a better way to give feedback. A lot of golf balls that are medium to firm compression offer a nice firm press and click when you hit it well. This is straight up rockish. But I agree I love having feedback
I use it exclusively with driver when playing best ball if there's a safe ball in play (otherwise it's an AVX) and then switch out to a Pro V1 for every other shot. For this, it's fantastic but I'd never play them for anything else. Driver swing speed is 115-120 so I understand that it must feel like garbage if you're not compressing the ball.
I actually really appreciate this feedback. I haven't had anyone with extremely fast swing speed comment on it yet, and I think that kind of proves what I was afraid of. I think this golf ball is great for really fast swingers who want a long straight drive. I definitely had trouble compressing it and the numbers showed that
Low single handicap, love the ball. Strange review. I hit high drives, I stop the ball on the greens (don't need a zip back) and a ball is not going to fix miss-hits. As another poster mentioned, newer are better than older versions.
I mean it's definitely going to depend on your swing speed and your swing type. What I have found is that most players below 100 mph have terrible results with this ball. I've had a few really fast swingers tell me they enjoy it. Seems to be for the fast crowd that still need some forgiveness on spin
I have never thought of buying a Warbird and your analysis proved my assumption. And it's odd that it's marketed for high handicappers that would not swing that fast. Maybe the ball should be called Oxymoron. And can't wait for Vice week and Snell!!!!
That's the problem with not marketing your call correctly. If I was Callaway I'm specifically putting on the box that is for fast swingers. Otherwise you have a bunch of people play them out of the woods and just think they're terrible. I wish some companies would be more transparent
i lost a whole pack in 4 holes. this thing is a rock and goes anywhere but straight. i never find them on the course probly for a good reason. stick with the supersoft/fast
I find a lot of these on the two courses near my home! I hit them at the range to see what they can do! They remind me of a range ball. Thanks for the review.
Honestly if these were range balls somewhere I probably just wouldn't use the range LOL
Hey sir! Congrats on improving your swing speed and congrats on your new gear. Looks like things are looking up! Thank you for the review as well. I have never had the desire to try the warbird and now it'll definitely stay that way.
Thanks! Will do! I have a pretty hefty goal now for my golfing career.
I play them almost every time I play and they're fine. I'm not going on tour any time soon so they work and if I put one in the lake, I'm not going broke.
I would definitely recommend trying a few other two piece models. You can still save great money but you won't have to sacrifice performance.
Don't know anyone playing this and surprised Callaway even continues to make it. Thanks
Lol no problem

Yes I was surprised as well, one of those rare swings where everything just came together.
Interesting results. I'm a high handicap and a slower swing speed and these are the balls I used most last year. For me, they help with the distance but putting leaves something to be desired. Putting is when I notice the firm feel.

Thank you so much for watching and giving me your feedback. I really appreciate it! :-)
The Seed golf balls also seem to be getting more attention online too. Wasn't sure if you would be interested in testing those. Enjoying your channel.
I have reached out but haven't heard back. I might have to bite the bullet.

They do seem to work for some people. I just didn't have that good of results.

Interesting review, I just played this past weekend with the warbird and didn't experience what you were experiencing
Do you have a fast swing speed?
@@GolfBallAddict 90-100 with driver
Same here. I enjoyed a found Warbird so much, I went out and bought a box.
Was given a dozen as a father days gift. Can’t stand how the feel in your hand & hoped my first swing would have sent it into the after it left the club. Immediately gave that dozen away. On par with a Nitro
LOL I'm surprised the ball even made it to 62. If it hadn't been for the five hybrid performance it would be a bottom 10% golf ball
You think that's bad? Once told my wife all I want for Christmas is a box of Pro V1s. She gave me a box of recycled Pro V1s from Walmart.
I use Warbirds, they feel nice and firm off my putter
That's awesome. If you don't mind me asking, do you happen to know your swing speed with the driver?
Pretty much the only Callaway ball that I leave in the woods/rough if I find one, lol
Agreed. I don't see any way they could be part of my game. Even in a scramble if I'm hiting over water.
Ha ha ha ha. Me too.

Have heard some great things about the Legato LTX 385. Add to test list? 🙂
I have had a few request. It will be q2 2024 for sure.

Nothing beats the Maxfli Revolution One for the mooney.
I haven't heard of that one yet.
Can you do the new Vice Pros and Vice Pro Plus
Vice week is next week.
Have you tried the Legato LTX 3085 golf ball?
Not yet but I have had tons of request. It will be coming very soon.
I have never thought of buying a Warbird and your analysis proved my assumption. And it's odd that it's marketed for high handicappers that would not swing that fast. Maybe the ball should be called Oxymoron.
And can't wait for Vice week and Snell!!!!
I agree 100%. Last week is coming and I just got an email today letting me know some snells are coming as well.
Plenty of high handicap players with high swing speed.
Surprised you did a review on this ball 😂. You can’t pay me to play that ball!
It would have to be a kings ransom.
can one company make one good golf ball and good price like Kirtland?
There have been a few. Keep in mind though that the Kirklands have tested horrendously on this channel.
Got a dozen of these free at a golf scramble tournament. They were ok, but a little hard for me. I’ll stick with my Wilson Zips. ⛳️
Zips are something else man. Top two for a reason 💯🔥
I also tried hitting some I found in the woods and it was terrible
That's the problem with not marketing your call correctly. If I was Callaway I'm specifically putting on the box that is for fast swingers. Otherwise you have a bunch of people play them out of the woods and just think they're terrible. I wish some companies would be more transparent
I’ve always wanted to like this ball but never could. I guess it wasn’t me, it really was the ball.
Definitely not you. Definitely a "it's not me it's you" situation
Usually around 95 to 100 mph and around 280 yards carry at best
That's not bad for that type of swing speed
280 yard carry with sub 100mph swing speed? Don't sound legit tbh
I found one once, played it and it’s embarrassing that Callaway would even put their name on this golf ball.
It's the weakest link for sure
You are not the only one who has experienced the shockingly terrible feel on ANY type of full shot with this ball. My experience is the same.
It's not very often I just can't stand to test a golf ball. But the feeling was so bad that I was just trying to get rid of it immediately
i lost a whole pack in 4 holes. this thing is a rock and goes anywhere but straight. i never find them on the course probly for a good reason. stick with the supersoft/fast
Night and Day lol.
The newer Warbirds seem much better than previous years versions..those were horrible...
Then maybe they are on the right path. Still don't think there is good a quality as their other golf balls though
Agree with you on the feel of this ball, absolutely terrible!
Like hitting a rock from Hell
Warbird was a classic line of woods, why are they wasting a good name on a crappy ball ?
Anything to make an extra buck
Definitely not a ball for me. I enjoy a softer feeling ball that gets airborne.
Agreed. Way better balls out there
lol nvm i found it
It’s back, and it sounds like it’s worse.
Lol back with a vengeance
The Diablo is a far better ball.
Warbird has NEVER been a good ball…. NEVER EVER!!!!
Lol I believe it.
