What would be a huge improvement in this game is fixing the matchmaking system for starters. Solo queue is so unbalanced that it breaks the game, no matter what build you use.
I second what first dude said, they have previously been nerfing everything to the ground, which is the reason some perks were drastically better since bhvr didnt touch them. But now they are starting to do the opposite and buff everything and in this case, the worst that could happen is some perks will be weaker than the majority. Still, a massive success compared to what we had all this time

I do like the Distortion change. Having one perk being able to counter like 15 other perks is not good design. Neither is that distortion might also be completely useless against stealth killers. Making it so that you can't hide all game without interacting with the killer at all while also making sure that its viability is the same against every killer is just fair in my opinion.
Overall I feel like this patch is decent, even when you see the few bad things like the mori offerings removal, afk gens or the zanshin tactics change there was at least an attempt to improve things. They also did a decent distortion rework, even though I think it would have been better doing otz's suggestion with the twist of showing the entire team which perk burned a token. Don't get fooled by the rats, distortion's real value was never the stealth, it was always the info and how it only requires a single dude using it for the entire team to benefit and play around the killer's aura reading. The live version has 2 problems, 1 is not being as useful when playing solo and the other is making so much easier to rat the entire match. Some people that contribute to nothing for the team end up staying alive more frequently than what they deserve, usually at the sacrifice of the players that actually try to loop and take the killer away from gens. The devs only tried to address one of these 2 which is my only problem with the rework. Even though, distortion or not, there will still be people ratting, at the very least this rework will help mitigate it considering how stronger distortion makes ratting.

All I see are some buffs to underused perks with a few of them becoming obviously overtuned so no way they are going live, a flawed mori rework, small nerfs to killers they deemed overtuned and dms, big nerfs to 2 problematic things: distortion's parasitical playstyle and skull merchant's anti loop that's more annoying than clown's, worse than any other killer power for new players to learn and also never had the reception they expected. The balance is definitely in the positive.

Like I said, still pretty bad: 1 - Mori offering changes 2 - The feature that removes nearby objects during moris not functioning properly 3 - Skull Merchant rework 4 - Distortion nerf, they literally could have lowered it's tokens to 2, or increased the time it takes to recharge a token to nerf it more healthily 5 - Zanshin Tactics going from a niche interesting perk to a braindead aura perk 6 - Predator rework also being a braindead aura perk that punishes survivors for winning a chase 7 - Teamwork: Power of Two removing all conditions except the distance one, not a problem in solo q, but it definitely can be in a swf. Distance buff would have been reasonable 8 - Teamwork: Collective Stealth has the same issue as Power of Two 9 - Corrective Action change is just dumb 10 - We're Gonna Live Forever insane buff. Like it totally won't be busted because of a 30 seconds cooldown, real great thinking bhvr This is just off the top of my head. Also previous patches had some bad decisions like sabo buffs, 70 seconds hook stages, Knight rework, etc... The game is definitely piling up the bad changes with each recent update.

Fun for survivors and the killer gets 2 guys out of gens. Literally no problem for both sides. 8 - And also a problem with collective stealth... 9 - No way this will go live considering how unintended the effects with hf seem + the reactions to it. 10 - Maybe it would be fine to increase the cooldown by like 15 seconds? I guess? This isn't buckle up ftp so no way there will be insta pick ups happening before the killers can finish the hit animation, it won't really work that differently from how it does live. Sabo changes did not change how to react to a sabo play, the extra seconds aren't really that impactful for most people and the knight got a nice quality of life buff.

Now, if you lose a chase you see the survivors aura, so yeah, I have a problem with an aura read perk that rewards you for losing the chase, it's quite dumb actually, not sure why you are acting puzzled about it. Also, calling Power of Two a "silly goofy" perk, when it gives you 5% haste, allowing you to loop the killer for much longer, while the other 2 survivors do gens, feels like a very disingenuous argument, or shows you don't really understand this game all that much. What can I say, but that we don't agree. You have a very optimistic outlook on some pretty dumb/busted changes, so there's no point in discussing further.
Wait so does Blood Rush still have the self heal? If so thats pretty powerful tbh. Get unhooked and sprint burst away from the killer if they're nearby, then blood rush for more speed and a built-in syringe. And even if the killer wants to tunnel you, you still have endurance from the unhook and it becomes almost guaranteed to be full health.

Exhaustion might let u flee and force a tunnel of a diff laborer. Beats a heal and still tunneled at 10k chase cap no chance to do anything. Think its called Oversomething use that , blood rush , sprint or lithe and iron will or calm spirit now on or play only kills if ur solo I suggest. Gamde wasnt meant forso much sweat.

Stealth is a playstyle that's constantly getting butchered. Survivors need multiple playstyles that speak to multiple people. Bringing up a distortion player that's hiding all game is silly. I use it to reliably focus on objectives or to even have the chance to make it to the hatch. The latest chapter just came out with ANOTHER aura reading perk for Killer and they're nerfing the only counter to this aura spam. It gives important information that you'll never get without it. People assume hacks when it's just more and more and more aura reading. Just look at Zanshin Tactics. Whatever.

I use aura reading to reliably focus on getting from 1 chase to another or to even have the chance to chase someone. The latest chapter just came out with ANOTHER gen slowdown perk for killer and I don't even want to run that many. It creates an unhealthy meta for both sides that you'll never get without it. People assume merciless storm is bugged when it's just more and more and more gen regression. Just look at Pain Res. Whatever.
What's the point of playing the game if you only hide and watch progress bars slowly fill up?? Why don't you go in a custom game with a friend and tell him to stay afk so you can do your gens in peace?
Because stealth makes the game boring as fuck. Why even play dbd if you aren't willing to actually play the meat of the game. Chasing is where the main focus is because it's engaging. Nothing fun about a 20 min game of playing hide and seek.
tbh i love the new distortion as a distortion player , i never use it as a stealth perk neither when playing solo , i use it when im playing swf to get information of the killer's perks i dont mind getting chased
Once again they buff swf the same move they spit in soloQ face knowing killer gonna b at least 5 minute q as it is now u face nothing but swf or claim disk storage back for other games finally.
Hm, yes, intentionally aim to create a miserable experience for the other side despite not knowing what the other side brings out of spite for a change you don't like and the players have no control over, truly a course of action any well-adjusted adult would take By the way, pretty sure they've confirmed Corrective Action won't make it to live like this, mind you I don't have a clue how this flew past initial testing without adding an additional condition like a cooldown on the great skill checks and/or needing the perk carrier to hit Greats themselves

Distortion nerf was not a fix. Now were going to have teammates blessing totems all match for shadow step...

It no longer damages or heals you, it's just essentially an OTR sidegrade with an exhaustion cleanse instead of endurance
