    It's nice to see a review from someone who actually knows what they're talking about! Many reviews I've seen for power stations are from RUclipsrs with little-to-no electrical background. I doubt any of them would think of scoping the output to verify true sine wave output, and even fewer would consider checking under maximum load. Thank you for demonstrating the various ways the Delta Pro3 can be connected to your home, and the smart panel's switchover speeds. Color me impressed!
    It's also nice to see a product designed with so many safety features, the team that engineered this unit is clearly very concerned with safety and long-term reliability, almost to an obsessive level. It shows an attention to detail that is often lacking in many products available today, regardless of what the particular item is. The more you delve into the details, the more confident I am that EcoFlow wants to be the "Gold Standard" that other brands will be compared to.

      I got to admit I’m pretty impressed with the Ecoflow. The machines I did before were smaller and didn’t have the power to meet my needs or the voltage I needed. The excitement you see in the video is truly my feeling.

    Thanks for an honest review. We live in the country too and run a gas generator as backup. This is what I've been looking for.

      I know what you mean. I have a 8kw gas generator that eats gas but it has enough power to run the AC or water heater if I stage it. This and the DP ULTRA are amazing. I need permanent solar panels to offset the gas generator.

    Great video. Very informational but I think Part 2 you mentioned would have helped a lot more. I was very much looking for Part 2. You mentioned that EcoFlow was not interested in Part 2 but probably many of us are. Any chance you might reconsider making Part 2 ?

    ahh, I see your furnace blower assembly, I was about to ask what the current draw was and if it was cooking the motor, but then I seen the blocking plate/s on intake side.
    I blocked the outlet side on mine, about 2/3rd to 3/4 blocked to get the current just below rating. it has a very directional high velocity flow that way.
    I never tried blocking the intakes to test the output velocity and pattern, as I wanted high velocity directional anyway. 😁

    Wanted a DPU but as of now the Smart Generator they offer only talks to the Delta Pros, so I went with the DP3... For long term outage without a moderate sized dedicated solar array, the amount of battery storage would have to be massive, so I thought the generator and smaller capacity makes more sense. The auto start generator for nighttime, and some smaller solar panels for the day to offset using too much propane was ideal. I'm bummed on the SHP2, major flaw to not to be able to service the relays, or a fail safe to grid or manual override (at least from what I read), I think even the first one you could service a bit more.. I need to know if I lose power its from a grid failure, not a failure of my supposed backup system. That SHP2 will fail someday, you may upgrade in a few years as that's your thing so it won't be an issue, Plus you can do it yourself, but the average person who will spend 2000$ to install one, and have to spend 2x that in labor to replace one if it fails is not worth the features. I hope they come up with a better one to address this, because then it would be worth the little bit extra they were asking when bundling on the Oct Prime deal.

    Hi, I was wondering what your opinion is on the Delta Pro 3 being able to be used as a UPS for mission critical appliances as a sump pump. Was looking to get the DP3 and connect my sump pump to the front panel and have the sump operate directly from the DP3 all the time hopefully giving me peace of mind if I am not around that the sump will work should there be an outage. My home is located on a high water table and the sump is always going off, during a recent rain storm which we had 3 inches of rain in a 24 hour period, the pump pumped out over 13,000 gallons of water, cycling over 680 times. With a 1/2 power sump that could go off that many times when the power is on, would it make sense to have the sump connected to a DP3 all the time? Would it eventually burn out the DP3, or in the case of single point failure that I do not connect 100% of the time and the sump should not be connected to the DP3 and leave connected directly to power? I am concerned that the DP3 may not be a mission critical device to run 100 percent of the time and that I could in fact adding a variable that could make my sump pump backup even worse.

      I’m actually using the EcoFlow Delta two max for my sub pump just like you’re describing and it has one extra battery. One mistake I made was switching to a 1/2hp pump, I wish I would’ve stayed with a 1/3hp because the in-rush amperage is really high and really unneeded on my system.

    Hi what Manual transfer switch would you use for running the DP3 with a 1/2 HP well pump (220V) and a 120v pellet stove + 120v fridge for power outages. I was thinking the Reliance 306CRK pro tran 2? I know the well will pull 3000w at startup. I plan on using the L14-30 connector on the DP3 to the transfer switch. Does this sound correct?

    • @HVACRSurvival
      @HVACRSurvival  Месяц назад

      If you’re gonna do it manually, why waste the money on a transfer switch, just get up interlock switch and watch your power consumption yourself.

    dude help lol I have a huge bus 🚌 rv takes 50 amp cord I juat bought a new Toyota electric car also takes 50 amp to charge it ... I want to buy one of these to carry in my car incase I need a extra charge. Will this work well ??? is there one that has a 50 amp so I can plug directly?

    • @HVACRSurvival
      @HVACRSurvival  2 месяца назад +1

      The Delta pro 3 does not have a 50 amp plug. It has a 30 amp plug and even then it doesn’t put out 30amps. It provides 4000 Watts , (4000/240=16.6amps). you’d be better off the Delta pro ultra. Even then, it takes a special charger to charge these electric cars at a faster rate that you would need.

      @HVACRSurvival  3 месяца назад +1

      You’re correct. I was told it was supposedly going to be able to do it but as of now it has not been done. I’m not sure if it’s a problem because of the capacity of the two units are mismatched? It’s definitely a bummer.

    For the panel do you need to be connected to the internet or do you just need to connect to it from your phone say I had a unifi access point and just disconnected the modem I could still access some other thing on my network like a file server could I still use the panel or does eco flow host the application on a server and not at the panel

    Where do you have your battery bank located relative to your living quarters?
    Do you have any concerns about thermal runaway of the pack when located near or in your house? I don’t mean to be a scare monger, but you can put the battery pack in an outdoor location where this would basically be of a reduced concern.
    What does the manufacturer recommend? You did comment on the safety features in the video

    • @HVACRSurvival
      @HVACRSurvival  4 месяца назад +2

      Lithium phosphate batteries are a lot different than lithium ion batteries. Lithium phosphate batteries don’t catch on fire like the lithium ion. I would not be surprised if they don’t have manual thermal fuses in the battery packs to break the electrical contacts. Like I mentioned in the video this is UL rated “underwriter’s laboratory”. That is a very expensive test to have done and almost no Equipment built overseas has a UL rating. The UL rating it rated for was developed for battery systems like this. I’ll need to find the actual four digit number. I believe it’s nine something something something.
