This is going to be fantastic. I love watching envelope journals. They are such fun to make Looking forward to seeing more next time. Love you too. Thanks for sharing.
Love this and can't wait for part two. I had to chuckle at your "band aid" trick to fix the tears. Reminded me of something I was told years ago at a stamping class... Mistakes/Accidents are simply embellishment opportunities! Luise Heinzl and you are both fabulous!!
Hi, Barbara. You and Luise = the dynamic duo! I discovered Luise through you, so thanks . I was also introduced to and joined the DCC through and because of you, so thanks. It is such a pleasure to be able to see these amazing creations from both of you. You both have great talent, easy to follow, clear voiced videos, and adorable personalities (and of course interesting and remarkable content). Thank you for always making me feel like I am spending time with an old friend. 😁😍
Hej Barbara! I really enjoy making envelope journals! This one looks so pretty and also fun to make! I will go see what envelopes I have in my box! Looking forward to video nr 2! Thanks for sharing 🤗🕊️
Barbara, I can't wait to make this. I think I have made every envelope journal with you, thanks for sharing, can't wait for part 2, going to print my digital collage club papers right now and get to work!!!
Can't wait for part 2. Happy accidents are the best aren't they? I am working on a steampunk journal and sewing a corset onto a page and one side moved so it isn't even on both sides. But I left it. My friend said it looked intentional. Lol
Oh wow Barbara - I just love this video. I'm really looking forward to making this, and of course I can't wait for part 2! PS I joined the Digital Collage Club last week & cannot believe how many beautiful images and paper packs are available - I'm obsessed with that site. Also thank you for the discount code! 🌺💖
I'm really liking this... I just made another one, experimenting again. I used just the 3 envelopes but this time got *6 big pockets* (no small ones) without any waste (just fold, cut, glue). Not counting the front and back covers, I have 10 pages. None of the pockets open on the outside edge when the book is closed, so nothing can fall out (that's a peeve of mine). 👍😁
Oh wow, this looks wonderful!!! Love the papers you've chosen! Really cool design! And I like that this journal can be done in many different ways and styles! Thank you so much for the shout out and your sweet words!! ❤️❤️❤️
Hey Barbara! I LOVE this video and love the simplicity! I ordered some envelopes so am very anxious to get them and see the next video!! Hugs sweetie!!! 🥰😘
Great little project! It’s funny, I just recently discovered Luise channel on my own and she mentioned your channel in her video! I love both of your channels! TYFS! ❤️🦋💜
Hello dear Barbara I love this tutorial. I have a lot of envelopes stashed away and I never remember. I'm a mess. I love your idea so maybe I'll try to do something similar. 😊 Thank you.
Barbara, I am only 6 minutes into this and already love, love, love it. You haven't even started to decorate it yet but oh, I can see the possibilities!💙💙
Ooh I love an envelope project! That's a lovely paper pack😍 I hadn't found that yet! Yes, paper quality does matter. Yes a border is smart looking. I constantly forget to ink first 🙈. I use Collal and 3 in 1, they do have different viscosities which is handy. Luise is so 😎cool and funny! Looking great, can't wait to see the next one! Tfs and have a great day 💖💖💖
I really like this grungy junk journal; amazing what you can do with 3 envelopes. Now it's time to go to Part 2... very exciting. Thank you so much for sharing and for the links too.
Awesome grungy envelope journal l love making journals with envelopes since making my first stacked journal with envelopes just as you said, so many ways to do them. The band aid trick was a great ideal definitely will using that, it looked part of the paper. Excited to see part #2. Thanks for sharing 🥳💕
Hi Barbara, i was very much looking forward to this video . You've mentioned on 1 of my instagram posts you were working on it. I love the "band aid" trick. For sure gonna try that one ;-) Thanks for sharing sweetheart. xoxo Margreth
I watched this a few days ago, and tried to make one today. I obviously have a bad memory... I ended up with *5 big pockets* and two smaller ones, still a trifold, with 2 big pocket flaps inside. I didn't have anything left to make tuck spots. I didn't make sleeves, so nothing can fall out.
Hello Barbara. I really enjoy your tutorials and have joined the DCC. I have a question… do you have a tip for running your tea dyed paper through your printer? I tried and since the paper was so wrinkled, the ink splotched.

Hello dear Barbara I love this tutorial. I have a lot of envelopes stashed away and I never remember. I'm a mess. I love your idea so maybe I'll try to do something similar. 😊 Thank you.
A light dusting of powder or cornstarch will also remove the stickiness from the envelopes.
Yes, good point! ❤️
Waiting for part2 of this journal. I crafted along with you and now I wait.......

none of my envelopes open on one end like yours! I have tons of them, but, not one like that! LOL
Story of my life!
LOL
How do they open? If they have more triangular flaps that should work as well 🤔
@@49dragonflies I have the 'triangle' kind. I'll fiddle around with it. Or, I may just alter one. I'll work it out one way or another. LOL
Love this!!
🤩❤️😍
Another great project! if you join the digital collage club, can you add the images to a digital paper you are creating? thanks!
Thanks! No, they are for printing and they are usually in JPG format, so they are not meant to use digitally.
@@49dragonflies Thank you!💗
Hello Barbara. I really enjoy your tutorials and have joined the DCC. I have a question… do you have a tip for running your tea dyed paper through your printer? I tried and since the paper was so wrinkled, the ink splotched.
Thanks Diane! Have you tried flattening the paper under heavy books or ironing them?
@@49dragonflies flattening didn’t work, but I’ll try ironing them. Thanks for the tip. Hugs!
