I lost my passion (non-traditional watercolor) when my husband died last year. My daughter introduced me to RUclips where I discovered Junk Journaling. I was in a quandary as to why they called it 'Junk' Journals when most of the stuff was bought. I also wondered 'WHY' make these. Then I found you. You are closest to my tendency to repurpose/reuse things. I also thrift shop rather than pay full price... more recycling. Thank you for giving me something that fills my creative needs. You are a gem.
I'm sorry for your loss! I started junk journaling the same way as you except I lost my son several years ago. Our two daughters introduced me to RUclips and that's how I found junk journals! They keep my mind occupied to help ease the grief some! Praying for you 😊
Thank you. It is hard to lose a loved one, especially when it is a child. We are fortunate to have family and our creative nature to ease the pain. @@hollyh5032
I just found ALL our 2 daughter's baby pictures, school work, report cards, etc. This will be a perfect and quick way to surprise them for the holiday...Hopefully this year!
I appreciate you not deleting your “mistakes’ from your videos. I place you so high on the crafting queen platform and it’s nice to see you make mistakes just like we do. It helps me deal with “the fear of art” that I struggle with. Your projects are always so clever and creative. Thanks for being you.
Love this idea. You are beyond a doubt, the most informative person I watch on u-tube. You give all the details and don't hold anything back. I love watching your channel. TFS
Thank you for a organized video! I know creativity is usually open and spontaneous, but it is aggravating watching some tutorials where there is no forethought and you have to move forward till something is accomplished and not repeated over and over!
I want to thank you for your wonderful videos. During this time of great stress in our world, I find your videos a peaceful escape from the worries of the world. Thank you for your inspiration and tranquility during this time 🥰
I have been making envelopes for about 30 years. I have many penpals. I use calendars, maps, heavier pages magazines. So now I am going to try this project.
I like the way you think - create. Making multiple things ahead certainly saves times when you sit down to create. I like this journal style. I think it's going to be one of my favourites! Keep doing what you're doing. You are a great inspiration.
This has cheered me up! Your videos are always so inspiring and show how much you can do with a few simple things, no need to get overwhelmed, and the end result is just pure handmade luxury! Would love to see a video of your craft room. Much love to you
I have no idea where you get all your ideas ! So creative , care for every page you create , thank you for your creativity and sense of humour. Always something new and exciting !
Really like how your bits n pieces were prepared - made the journal take shape faster - still had plenty of explanation. Your lighting was find - Mother Nature is on your side. Thank you great job in teaching us different methods I assembling a journal 🌵🦋💖
You are THE best teacher Natasha! Love everything you do. I’ve been wondering how to do this easily and I’ve been scratching my head as they say. Hope you are safe and well.
I just finished my first journal ever using this video. You made it so simple. I wanted to send you a picture but I don't see a way. It was very fun! It will be a gift for a 16 year old girl who is celebrating her birthday this weekend. Thank you again for your easy directions and sharing your techniques which kept me from having to learn by experience and from being frustrated! ❣
She was absolutely crazy about it! Her mom says she journals all the time and now wants to learn to make them, too! So I sent her a link to your video of how to make it. You may end up with a new subscriber! ❣
What a lovely project, a great idea for making gifts for friends at Christmas and birthdays! I give little embellished bags with goodies in and now I know what else to add! Thank you so much Natassa, Tyfs
Such precious little journals. They are the perfect size for photos, which is what I plan to do with most of the junk journals I make...as soon as I get around to making them. Thank you for a wonderful idea!
Great idea, Natasa! Simple and fast. Please don’t apologize about lighting. Never occurred to me. Love how you make room and took off the stress of putting things in and taking out by trimming just that tiny bit off. Love the button closure also. 💖
in addition to your projects being so fabulous, i LOVE how respectful you are about maximizing your resources. i know your back story and how much you value paper and all the lovely art supplies many of us take for granted. you are an inspirational artist AND you are an eco-friendly ROLE MODEL. ty natasha💐
Thank you really much for this video. To day I feel a Little bit depressed, It enbrighted my day a Little. Now, I don't knowif Is the case but I want to suggest this Idea the same... How about filming a video about TIPS and trick to be more organized in working on a junk journal? I am kinda a messy Person, It would be interesting to try to be as organized as you are during the crafting. Have a nice day Natasa and stay safe
This was fantastic! Ty💕 Leaving for our 3 week vacation to our cabin on the water , no wifi unplugging. - I’ll definitely be making one of these gems while I’m there xo
Love most all of your projects. Not because anything isn’t wonderful, but because I don’t necessarily have everything you have. I don’t like the mess of tea dying, so I use Tim Holtz distress and distress oxide inks to make them look aged. I’m a one of a kind girl, but you give so many great ideas, I could make these and everyone would be different depending upon the embellishments! I love the idea of making the “skeletons” and then adding the flesh to make them unique. Lots of inspiration here. Thank you from TEXAS 🇺🇸.
Love the save with the added circle at the eyelet. I think it adds to it! If made out of card stock it would add even more strength. Beautiful project!
I think it’s important to let us see when things don’t go as planned. It helps us newbies when we undoubtedly have the same problem. This is a great and economical idea. I LOVE the closure idea. TFS
👍👍Junk envelope journals are one of the easiest, cheapest, & most fun things I have learned to make during the past year. I enjoy seeing how different artist/crafters make them & usually find new ideas with each one. There is no end of styles, & I have a steady supply of junk mail to provide the envelopes! Thank you for sharing yours, Natasa! Hugs🤗
As usual another beautiful project.Shall definately be making some of these.Thinking of you in Victoria at this time, please stay safe.Kind thoughts from N.S.W.
Natasa, this is so sweet and relatively easy. Other than embossing lol. I appreciate the way you explain your process and the little tips you share. I've already got my envelopes chosen and ready to emboss. I also have a bunch of embellishments and ephemera all ready do go that I got from a lovely friend in Australia 😉. Thank you!
love the embellished envelopes - and dyes. I will definitely be doing that. love the simplicity and perfection in this journal. thanks again for your continued inspiration.
These are so pretty and sweet! I plan on making them for my Red Hat Ladies for birthday gifts! I think they will be fun to do and useful! Thank you for your inspiration! Have a blessed day!
You don’t have to apologize for your lighting. It is a pleasure that you are such an efficient person and so frugal. You are so creative and I love your sharing nature! Thank you so much for the inspiration! I can’t wait to make one.

I'm encouraged to try this. So many tutorials drag on forever and make it look so flippin' hard. But yours looks simpler, and I'm needing simple. Thanks!!
I really like it that you take a project from start to finish and show us every step along the way. You give us tips on using junk paper and using punches to create embellishments, and tips to make the project more effective (wait till the end before cutting the strings). I am new to your channel but I watched the one where you talked about yourself, and I could relate to a lot of your life. I'm happy I found your channel. I heard about you from Noit on NOIT ART.
I love this little envelope journal! I watched this video when it came out back in 2020. I am making a trip to my daughter-in-law's home country of Cambodia. I will go with my grandson, who has his other grandmother over there also. I have started making 10 of these to give as gifts to sisters and aunties. I can work on them on the flight over with pre-punched holes for the binding. I will cut binding threads and ephemera at home so no scissors on the plane. It will give me something to do on the long flight. I am not looking forward to that, but I am excited to be sharing a small sample of our world of Junk Journals with them. Thank you so much for your tutorials and continued inspiration. Hugs from Texas.
You are one of my favourite junk journal craft makers, you make it look so easy and am always looking in charity shop like you do thank you so much.linda from england🙂💌
Wow! I’ve been watching this type of video since last night and was ending up confused. Everyone does it differently but yours is the easiest and best I’ve seen and I will definitely be trying it. I love how you embossed the envelopes and tea dyed them. Plus I love how you put the papers in the middle. I work in journals but have never made one so this is perfect for what I want. I’ll be subscribing to your channel. Thank you.
Lovely! Going to make one today. Another option for closure could be to sew your signature in starting on the out side. Leave enough cord to wrap around your journal as you like, after you tie the knot you can go about decorating your cord and “ta dah!”. :)
I love paper, post cards, greeting cards, images, stamps, and art and have boxes and boxes of them but have never made anything with them, until now. I made your envelope junk journal and am quite satisfied with the result. I have not completely filled it yet, but I wanted to thank you for your careful instructions and interesting ideas.
I recently found out about junk journals and stumbled upon your channel (I know, late to the party!) I have been watching a lot of your videos, and love them all. While making a full sized journal still seems overwhelming to me, you've given me the confidence to try these! I would love to see how you dye your papers, especially the Easter egg and tea dye ones. You always have the most beautiful results! Thank you for your sharing your creativity and time with us.

Such a fun easy little project I’m using colored envelopes from hobby kibby
I actually like that you showed a) how a mistake happened and b) how you fixed it. It made for a much more realistic and useful tutorial, thanks

I think your “oops “ looks nice, and even adds more sturdiness 🥰

Love it and can't wait to make my own. Glad you kept the little mishap in and the end results are beautiful.
I really love your style of Journals, they are by far my absolute favorite! I have watched all your videos & most of them at least 2 times (or more).
Thank you so much!
Lovely! Going to make one today. Another option for closure could be to sew your signature in starting on the out side. Leave enough cord to wrap around your journal as you like, after you tie the knot you can go about decorating your cord and “ta dah!”. :)
Great idea! Love it!!
