Oh thank you for reminding me of this fold. I made these years ago while teaching middle schoolers- we made them into poetry booklets. I had forgotten all about it!
I love it so far. On my way to watch part 2. Little tip for your viewers that, like me, do not have that handy distress tool. I keep the dull blades from my paper cutter and when I want to distress and rough up my papers, I switch out my new blade with an old dull one and I get the same results, much quicker and easier on the hands. 😘
Initially this did not appeal to me at all, but you are making it amazing with your embellishing! Now, I want to make an exploding booklet for my grandson. TFS the inspiration, Barbara!
Adorable! My daughter gave me one a bit smaller from a craft fair. She put pictures of our grandkids in it. It fits in my handbag and I love it! (Even tho, now the pictures are about 6-7 years old!) TFS🤗
Very impressed, you do so much work on every item you produce. And... The outcome shows how much all those little details add to the finished item. Well done.
I did this fold but a lot smaller to go in a journal. I love this idea with it being bigger and the pockets etc. Love all your papers. Can’t wait to see the rest of project. TFS Barbara! ❤️
I love this project. I used card stock and it was really thick, so I placed it in my flower press. It looks really flat now but goinh to leave it there for the day. Thank you for sharing
I've made these over the years and they are called squash books. You only have to fold one diagonal line, which is what I do (I think it also looks nicer with one less line/crease).
So inspiring! Beautiful project. :) I'm thinking one of these as a small Christmas gift to two of my young relatives... Looking forward to part two! :)
Your art is always inspiring,I have a Tim Holtz stamp of faux stitch’s,because I don’t have a usable sewing machine, mine is an antique singer and I need to have it serviced, thank you for your sharing❤️
Dear Barbara, this is absolutely worth to copy it! Adorable. I will definitely try it myself. Thank you for sharing! By the way: the taring ruler is now available at „Funkelkram“! Love, Rita
I started making this one yesterday but I didn't think the fourth (diagonal) fold is necessairy. so I made 3 folds :) Works just fine. I love your album, your creativity is a huge inspiration!
I had just made one of these for a friend and discovered there only needs to be one diagonal fold all the flat areas are on the other diagonal fold. It helps with the confusion of where things should fold when there is no fold line on the flat areas. So there are two cross folds and one diagonal fold!
I looooove this!!! I was thinking how i would get my big designs in my 12x12 winter tales papers in my smaller journal and this is just perfect!! Thank you so much !!!!
So cute. I love all these neutral colors. They really help your accent colors pop! This is one I will watch and use your knowledge of collage. But my brain can’t wrap around the folding and the up and down, left and right. But it’s super cute!!
@@49dragonflies I could maybe fold it and glue it. But the decorations in it….. well, remember that one Journal of yours you showed us where you sewed some of the signatures in upside down? Yeah, my decorations would be upside down and sideways! Lol
It is beautiful sweetie💕 I love these kind of booklets, I think I even have a book with this example in it. Totally forgot about it so thank you for reminding us 😘😘😘
Barbara, I was wondering why I wasn't getting notified about your videos...seems we have gotten unsubscribed from each other. This happened with another person I was formerly subscribed to and then no longer was getting notified about her videos. I believe our new kitten has been on my keyboard. At any rate, I am a new subbie, again!!!!!!!! Unbelievable!!!!!! You just have to love our little Bitsy Baby!!!!!!!
Love this and have followed up until the embellishments. How do I print the small pages? Each page is a separate file from Digital Collage Club. Thanks.
Thanks! You can open multiple JPGs at once by selecting them and with the right mouse button select “open”, then you can choose to print multiple pages per sheet of paper. I hope that helps. You can also Google it.
This is so cool I think its the best journal you have made but may be biased as it's just up my street. I am planning to make one like yours and then another in a different style. I might even use a min version in another Journal. Thank you so much for your channel it's a life saver.
Oh thank you for reminding me of this fold. I made these years ago while teaching middle schoolers- we made them into poetry booklets. I had forgotten all about it!
WOW! The unusual shape gives it pizzaz. Quicker than a journal + signatures. Your embellishments are the piece de resistance. Here I come for Pt. 2.
After a difficult day at work, it is so nice to come home to one of your soothing encouraging videos. Thank you, Barbara.
I’m sorry you had a difficult day and hope tomorrow will be better! ❤️
Dear Barbara, this is so wonderful! I love the corner pockets and all of the tags with all those tiny elements! Inspirational 🤩🤗❤️😘🥰🍫

The painstaking work you put into this is quite something to see. Can't wait for part 2!
This looks cool so far…wow! That was a lot of fussy cutting!!! Oh, loved you idea for hand stitching randomly around the edge too!
Adorable! My daughter gave me one a bit smaller from a craft fair. She put pictures of our grandkids in it. It fits in my handbag and I love it! (Even tho, now the pictures are about 6-7 years old!) TFS🤗

This one is so much fun! I love it when you use “brayed furlap” on your pages. I think they should change the name!
