Sonny killed the fly from the first season
DAMN IT! I wanted to say that! Well played. lol.
It's still around this season
And now we're about to see Samara come out of the TV. :( (The Ring)
He finally did it!
Homelander and Stormfront are quite the most disturbing couple on The Boys, and this episode was so good.
I just imagined the terror the dude had to feel. Imagine you think "fuck I'm going to jail" and then both slowly and quickly realise they're gonna casually and uncaringly kill you as a fetish thing.
@David Hacking-Bonilla owns?
Well....dont be too sure 👀
@David Hacking-Bonilla I just mean they dont own anyone. Even if they think they do.
Also I'd not compare her to magneto. Magneto rarely killed for not joining him iirc, hed kill if you fought against him or stood on the opposing side tho. But that's war In general
So Iceman became Pyro... Deadpool is right, this timelines are really confusing. Also I like how Lamplighter feels actually guilty for Mallory's grandkids, in the comics he had the chance to kill Mallory, but went after the grandkids for pure spite. Great change, and I want to see more Shawn Ashmore
I was also watching this episode with my girlfriend, and when it Homelander's surprise turned out to be flowers she stared at me and said: "There's been a while since you give me flowers." I stayed quiet. You know things are bad when someone a even Homelander is better at affection demonstrations than you.
This show's writing staff deserves a goddamn raise. In a minute I'm almost crying after hearing Frenchie's story, the next I'm laughing until my belly aches seeing MM being strangled with elastic dong. Brilliant.
Man, Aya Cash is great. I seriously recommend you watch her previous show "You're the Worst", comedy drama from FXX. I don't if it's available on Netflix or Hulu but I'll look for it. She's really the only person that can steal the spotlight from Antony Starr in scene. I would've cried in the scene Stormfront is talking about everyone she lost if didn't knew the monster she is and immediately after that she came with a speech to wipe out every other race. Brilliant writing and acting here. Great reaction as usual!
The Council of Nine = 0
Homelander = 1
"You're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!" - from the Italian Job
Scanners girl certainly did that.
As was "The Self Preservation Society" from last season.
Its also the name of a story arc in the comic. Actually all the episode titles from both seasons are names of story arcs in the comic.
@@jerrymathewninan6739 If you know Garth Ennis' writing he took the name for the story arcs from the pop culture reference.
It's funny that they got the Ice Man actor to be lamplighter
It is weird seeing him pretty much play Pyro.
He even does the lighter trick that pyro does in x-men, no way that's not intentional 😂
@@RingwormFTW exactly my thoughts man
@@TheKidDoc81 true
In a place that is clearly a reference to X-Men school, in a sickly way
From totally grossed-out to hysterical laughter in .241 nanoseconds.. a new record !
So many feelings at once.
Crying for the Lamplighter / Frenchie story, then grossed out, then screaming of laughter and then straight back to action and seriousness.
• insert gif of Troy in Community screaming "my emotions" here •
one of the craziest episodes of the whole season for sure.
No one was left to keep Cindy there, she broke out, most of the staff are gone, the big metal doors are broken and Lamplighter took off with the Boys.
This whole: Starlight needs to absorb power from somewhere. I think they are setting that up for her to fight Stormfront, right?
Wow, I bet you are right. That's brilliant.
Oh crap I hadn't even thought about that!!
Also Stormfront made a point of telling Starlight that she's going to be very useful for her, Starlights attack depends on how much electricity she absorbs, Stormfront could feed her to create an attack strong enough to possibly hurt even Homelander
Showdown at high noon!
Sorry. I didn't see your post before I posted above. I agree. I promise I thought of this ideas yesterday. I wasn't stealing your idea. I think Kimiko figured it out too. Notice that overly emotional reaction to seeing Annie? I think that was because she saw the key to her revenge enter the room.
MM got a new scarf
Oh god . . . LMAO!
Cindy got away because Stormfront assumed Lamplighter competent enough to handle it, even with most of the staff dead. Since up until that point he was a loyal member/assassin/orderly, she had no reason to stay and make sure. Since he left and everyone else who could do anything except scream in terror is dead, there ya go lol
Yep, the fatal flaw in every system we've ever created... a human is involved somewhere who could be malicious or incompetent and bring the whole thing down.
What this show has done with Homelander and Stormfront has gone in such a surprisingly wildly different path from the graphic novels... AND IT IS AMAZINGLY AWESOME. This show is bonkers and we love it.
Joao-Pierre Ruth I’m just glad they didn’t reck con Stormfront to were she wasn’t a Nazi. Nazis are easily the most hated group from the last century and their imitations are considered retarded. Makes her an easy character to hate.
I haven't read all the comics but know enough of the plot points to say that indeed the show is better. It seems there are times where the comics do shock for the sake of shock. Eric Kripke should be given massive props for what he's been able to accomplish with the source material. For a time, Supernatural was one of the best written shows on network TV despite being on the CW and The Boys shows Kripke knows how to write characters well.
Me, an adult: "I can be mature about penis jokes, sure"
_[after this episode]_ "I guess not"
🤣
It's awesome to see you in a good mood Kat
Start of video - Kat: "A lot of happy emotions right now"
Me watching Kat at love sausage scene 🤣🤣🤣 "A lot of happy emotions right now"
I love Frenchie and Mother’s Milk so much
The episode title is referring to the Michael Caine heist film "The Italian Job" from the 60s btw. The full line being "You were only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!"
It's also the title of one of the final story arcs from The Boys comic book (issues 66-69).
It's reference to the last boys comic.
@@irayneman Which is a Micheal Cain/Italian Job reference.
Kat's laughter is so contagious!
Pretty sure its implied that Cindy was the one who blew up Raynor's head in the first episode of this season.
she tends to explode the entire body, not a clean explosion over the neck
To me that just looked like someone who did what she felt was necessary at the time. The security guard pumped her whole body full of lead, so she returned the favor (exploding his whole body). From what we've seen she can target what she crushes as well as control the amount of force she uses.
When Raynor died no one seemd to be in her vicinity, except for "The Boys" themselves. This tells me Stormfront could've ordered Cindy to kill her target from a large distance - which in turn could diminish the effect of her power.
When Cindy was introduced the camera emphasized her power by giving us a close up of her hand. Nothing is confirmed as of now, but could all these aspects add up and make sense? Yeah imo it can.
@@justjdnl Cindy is too unstable to be sent alone or with guards to do the killings. Also, did someone watched the anime Elfen Lied? Cindy feels like Lucy and her powers are very similar, she was also being held in a facility that tortured her.
Ah haven't seen Elfen Lied but I have heard about Lucy and her powers.
I think it's plausible that Stormfront took Cindy from the facility, instructing and supervising her during the hit on Raynor.
With her flight ability she could take/return a patient in an instant, while using lightning or her enhanced strength to keep anyone under control (manipulating her in to kill Raynor or just threathen her).
I don't think that Cindy is the one exploding heads, she would've killed Stormfront in the Court Scene but she didn't, i think that the Church is behind it
My favourite moment of this episode was that Butcher was the one who shouted for Hughie before Starlight when the van rolled. The man has a heart 💜
"You're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!" is a famous line from the classic British crime caper movie starring Michael Caine 'The Italian Job'.
Never thought I'll hear Enya singing in an episode of The Boys. Color me impressed.
Kat, being distracted by happy thoughts & feelings is ALWAYS a good thing!
(What's it like?) 🤔
It's really nice 😌
Church of The Collective offers you pure happiness!
@@nutella_drifter
I actually "like" Fresca, but NawI'mGood!
I'm thinking they are showing that starlight both needs to and can absorb electricity now to show that she can probably just absorb stormfronts lightning. Maybe.
Also the Xanax bomb of Frenchie in the flashback was genious.
WE LOVE HAPPY KAT!!
Love Sausage 😂
So Compound V is an steroid for Supes as well as a dick extender. Great. 😒😒😒
My poor boy Vas... he was supposed to be a jolly old soviet ex-supersoldier, not some tentacle-dicked experiment locked in a Vought nuthouse! 😭
@DWN KAOMWN
A middle aged scientist must've accidentally dropped some of his Viagra into the batch of Compound V they gave that guy. I mean, Jesus . . .
DWN KAOMWN Hopefully he comes back...He did appear to still be twitching after Kimiko whacked him.
Yes, he was Iceman! But he's in The Rookie too, it's a Nathan Fillion show. It's really funny, you guys should start it. :D
"These two.. fuck!"
Literally the next frame: Them fucking 😂
Unintentionally perfect edit lol
Awesome to see the 2 of you in such good vibes to start off the reaction! Quite enjoy all the content you both create. These Boys episodes keep getting crazier!
Is it me or Sonny kinda looks like Hughie? 😍
He's like a fusion of Hughie and Butcher
People have been making that observation (and joke) since the first episode this season when Sonny made a remark about how Hughie was being snarky about Alden Ehrenrietch (the actor who Starlight supposedly dated in the show and from the movie Solo in real life), when he bears some resemblance to him.
And then people pointed out that Sonny himself actually looks like Alden.......and Hughie
People actually started comparing Sonny to Hughie even before we started The Boys season 1.
It was also one of the many reasons we started on the show, and also why I got spoiled that Hughie and Starlight ended up as a couple ☺️
Omg haha! & Kat is literally a doppelganger of Deborah Ann Woll love it! ❤❤❤
Sonny should apply as a body double for Jack Quaid in S3. Lol.
I think that face from stormfront was fear and her getting emotional for once but not because shes scared of Homelander but because she genuinely doesn't want to lose him. The speech she then gives at the end to him is her being completely honest. She does truly believe he is everything, she is a proper Nazi so I'm sure they wanted a pure super race that looks like Homelander blonde hair and blue eyes, invincible etc. She is also giving Homelander all he wants to, hes sick of lies, he wants a family and to be loved clearly, as well as being like a god.
That was a hell of an episode. One of the most informative ones yet.
I hate that were only 2 episodes away from having to wait another whole damn year.
Starlight needs electricity to power up, Stormfront emits it. If they don't connect that together on the show (like a showdown between them) then it's a wasted opportunity.
The telekinetic supe, whose name, I gather, is Cindy (and whose codename is probably Squish or words to that effect) had 10 bullet holes in her upper back when Stormfront lit her up. If the bullet holes didn't slow her down, a handful of force-lightning is likely going to be more entertaining to her than harmful.
Mind, the bullet holes can't be terribly helpful while hitchhiking....
I think it's perfectly plausible. If for instance a person with a bullet proof vest gets struck by lightning, that vest isn't going to help them.
@@nick777forde The point is, she wasn't _protected_ from the bullets. She took the bullets and instantly got better from them.
@@TheDetailsMatter I very much doubt the lightning would be more entertaining to her than harmful, as you put it.
@@nick777forde It's really hard to kill people whose wounds heal instantly, whether those wounds are inflicted by bullets, electricity, or anything else. Cindy appears to have that quality.
Damn, I just had a disturbing thought...
What if Homelander decides he and Stormfront should be the ones to raise his perfect little Arian natural supe son, not Becca? 😬
Just a theory, not a known spoiler. I think we were shown how to kill Stormfront, and in the show, I think that Kimiko knows how to get it done too. In this episode, it was specifically pointed out that Starlight has to drain electrical energy in order to convert it into her light energy. I think this was on purpose. What is Stormfront's major weapon? Electricity. Perhaps Starlight can either divert Stormfront's lightning so she doesn't have a weapon or maybe even drain her energy enough to the point that Stormfront becomes mortal. In either case, Kimiko can then attack and get vengeance for her brother. I think Kimiko has thought of this. Notice that overly emotional hug when Annie came to the hideout? I think part of Kimiko's reaction was due to the fact that the key to killing Stormfront walked through the door.
But, but, where does love sausage come into it? Love sausage has to be mvp bringing vought down
In season one, there was a fly buzzing around the characters in almost every episode. That's the same fly from season one! It came out of the TV! AHHHHH!
I love how much laughs u guys got out of this episode, well deserved. 😅🙏🏾
Kat and Sonny upload and it's automatically my happy place 💟 *brews coffee and sits back*, F*king diabolical* 😂😆😄
Yes! :)
The Boys, coffee and friends 🥰
This reaction was an excellent example why I enjoy watching you videos so much.
After watching this episode this morning, I knew it was going to be a particularly tough one for Kat to get through, so I am here in support! Also, it was an awesome show and you guys are always my favorite reactors! Cheers! ♥
Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
You actually had a 50/50 of getting Lamplighter's actor right. He's a twin and his brother was Jimmy Olsen in Smallville. They're both great and if you want to see them share the screen together you have to watch Fringe. This Ashmore was also in Smallville, before his brother as a Villain.
I like Aaron Ashmore as a actor more he was great in Killjoys, though Shawn is good aswell.
There was nobody in the psychiatric hospital to put back the test subjects in their cells. Stormfront left assuming Lamplighter would do it, and the Boys just left with Lamplighter, I doubt they put everything/everybody back in their place.
The bald girl got away because she was more durable than Stormfront thought. Also, she told Lamplighter to clean up the surviving patients while she checked for any escapees, but he just took off with The Bous instead.
MM's reaction to Cindy's power sounds so authentically terrified
Aaron's bro was on a good chunk of Smallville. My childhood super show 😭❤️
Two for one: An excellent, entertaining reaction AND insightful commentary and analysis. You two are GREAT! 👍🏽
Sonny went all Homelander on that fly xD
This was defnetly the best editing of the reactions I've watched, so thx for that, all the key points I wanted to see you guys reacting, great job!
Also, 5:09 we all been there...
Have to disagree. The presence of my conceal carry firearm saved my life once. I am certain that had I not had it I would be dead. I got jumped by 3 guys at knife point, was able to create enough space to escalate and draw. They took off.
I'm surprised more people don't feel that the driver was in the right. Butcher and Starlight sketchily asked him to hand over his car and leave him stranded. He then noticed Butcher had a weapon and decided to pull his first. I feel he made the right call.
@@chem.4919 He wouldn't have been that stranded from civilisation because we can presume that Butcher and Annie didn't make that long of a walk with a wounded Hugie. We also know as an audience that if he had given up the car they wouldn't have killed him. Maybe if his kid was in the car it would have been the more justifiable call but he risked his life by escalating to save his car and lost that bet
@@darthgavel We can't apply what we know as the audience and assume that a character in the show has this information as well. He didn't know for sure what their intentions were. He just knew they were unwilling to let him drive them to a hospital, Butcher was unable to produce proof that he was with the FBI and that Butcher had a gun. It's seeing Butcher with a gun that prompted him to believe he was in a life threatening situation.
@@chem.4919 I didn't mean to imply that we should apply the audience's knowledge to him, only that it explains why a lot of the audience view it as a wrong decision. But even though he doesn't know that like the audience does, I would argue that it's still a more reasonable judgement that they would prefer not to kill you if they've tried to persuade you out of your keys first, even though you can see they're armed, outnumber you and could have taken them by force before he had retrieved his own gun.

Mother’s Milk: “Strippers really not my kinda Hershey’s with or without nuts. I really been thinking about a golf trip.”
Mallory: “Please don’t pretend you have a choice.”
😬
ImDesire Yeah the video was edited that way, I know what actually happened in the episode, it just sounded funny so I was referencing the editing.
One thing I dont understand.. is the bald lady with the telekinetic powers...she seems to hate it at that hospital, and she squised the doors and everything else like it was nothing...so... why couldn't she do that from the inside? while being locked in???
@RantCasey19 yeea, thats the most plausible explanation I heard so far, but I still find it strange...
@RantCasey19 I think her getting shot a couple times in the back probably added to that as well. I imagine that would cause a whole bunch of adrenaline to kick in.
Telekne..ke..ke-ke ni....ke...*nvm*
I love that moment😂❤
You can also look back and see how that past has influenced all of his decisions so far in the series. He lost Jay forever because he chose returning to the mission over being there for those who needed him. Thus, you see him making the emotional, ethical choice over the rational one time and time again. Eric Kripke has done some fine work.
Who would of thought my boy ice man would become pyro
I guess if u live long enough u become ur nemesis.
I think Starlight will be able to tank/absorb and possibly heal from Stormfront’s powers if they fight one another.
That’s if Cindy doesn’t head explode her first for revenge, which may be how she goes...
Nah Stormfront won't get killed by some knockoff mime
Jonathan Sengstock fair enough, just trying to figure out why Homelander had blood all over him in one of the teasers, he looked distraught. I was speculating.
The title of the episode refers to the original Italian Job, where Michael Caine character says: you were only supposed to blow the bloody doors off
Guys does Starlight need the light for her strength too? She seemed a little weak helping Hughie after the crash. Tho in episode 1 of season 1 she was punching the wall with ease.
If Cindy was able to crush the doors like tin cans and let the other sups out why couldn't she escape from her own room by crushing her own door?
Also why couldn't they escape through the dispensary window? They had two Supes. Either could have gotten through the wall or the window, or at least tried and failed. It stuck out as lazy writing to me. Still a fun show though.
it's most likely that there was a way to incapacitate them within the cells.
😂 🤣 Have been waiting on y’all’s reaction to this episode!
When it comes to the supes, all of them have insecurities and hang ups. It sounds like Vought encourages that, because it is a weakness and it gives them a lever to pull in dealing with their supes, which are their products. The Deep, A-Train, they have both been consumed by the materialistic side of being a "Super Hero." As dangerous as Homelander is; that need to be loved has been useful to keep him in line. It will be interesting to see what will happen if he steps out of line, really out of line, what Vought will do to hurt him and remind him who is holding the leash, and he has so much to lose now. Stormfront and his son are levers they might pull, and that might not be good for Homelander.
Hi guys!! ❤ I'm from México
I really love your reactions, you guys are great
Holaaa!
Muchos gracias 🥰
Your only supposed to blow the bloody doors off is a quote from the Italian job by Michael caine........
This episode is bonkers in a good way.
personally im glad they gave aya cash a little more to work with in this episode. so far it's been, snark after snark after snark, all lines delivered in a similar way... it was good to see at least a little range out of her.
Another eye opener for Kat!
Kat seemed to be horrified by Love Sausage Lol
Sonny with those ninja reflexes.
If Starlight absorbed electricity, and Stormfront generate electricity, xan Starlight drain Stormfront?
*Thump*
„Sorry, there IS a very annoying fly in here.“
Uses present tense. Shows murder weapon a second later. 🥺
I don't think I've seen Kat laugh that hard, ever.
YAY i was waiting for this vid to drop LMAO
Hey, I always wondered where the fly from season one went.
I can't believe I got 3 minutes into this video until I realised I hadn't got caught up with the latest episode yet!
This was totally one of the funniest and interesting episodes. 💯🔥😂
How was the psych facility able to keep Cindy contained in her cell?
They kept her sedated. It evidently wore off.
My favorite episode so far.
That thumbnail basically shot itself. ;)
The reaction to the love sausage 😂
Don't be so close minded i love that line 😆😂😂
5:11 I wondered when the fly in season 1 would show up, didn't expect it to make it's grand entrance in one of your videos. I still want to know what's the deal with the fly, is it a supe!
It would have been great if Frederich Vaught in the photo was played by Bryan Cranston. He's the perfect guy to play a scientist!
"Tell Butcher about the thick penis around your neck" hahahaha, best line :D
The thumb 😂👌
So Stormfront had a child but she didn't have superpowers and died of old age. But Homelander's son does have superpowers that got passed down from his dad without having to take the compound V.
Welcome tO genectics 101
I think that Stormfront is Homelander's grandma.
Stormfront might have had Amelia before she got the V .
Incredible episode! I've come to like Frenchie more and more. That comment about: "What makes you think that I want a pass." We can see now that this is man who really doesn't think he deserves to be happy, or forgiven for all that has happened, even if he was just a victim of circumstance.
Hopefully, Lamplighter will prove worthy of their mercy. The murder of children is unforgivable. I've never considered "I didn't know," as an excuse. It is not as bad as Homelander, but it is still bad.
I feel that Homelander isn't down with elevating thousands of "mud people" to his own godly level.
3:38
They sure do 😂
I was going to post something insightful and erudite, but I'm still laughing so hard from the thumbnail..
Hi guys good reaction and wonderful smile,Sonny-good kill!Good kill fly:)I understood now, Homelander and Stormfront-this is a pair of 2 deadly sins Stormfront-is the "Lust" and Homelander-is the "Pride"
everyone loves the love sausage .. XD
this was a really good episode
A "Supe" being killed by his own vomit cause his face is not acid-resistant...smh, he is more like a Joker in G.R.R. Martin's Wild Card anthology.
I'm trying to envision the premier issue of the Love Sausage comic book line, but for some reason, it's just not coming....
Why, in the trailer Homelander goes in...there's a large ornate faucet with no sink? am I going insane? who built that set that way? lol
Starlight needs electricity for her power ... and whos power was casting lightning again? hmmm 😉 i want to see starlight vs stormfront!
In the comics she plays no part in defeating stormfront. Its someone else that helps.
@@eraldorh This show has shown they are willing to take a completely different direction with any character...The Deep for example, and did Stormfront have sex with Homelander in the comics? This show's Starlight has more emphasis than in the comics and they've already foreshadowed a confrontation. I can't see how there won't be some kind of confrontation between them after this episode...
@@HaleysTusk The deep in the comics would make a pretty crap tv character, he literally had zero personality and walked around with an ancient diving helmet on 24/7.
Starlight isnt a match for stormfront and she made that pretty clear when she laughed at her like she were a small child. Stormfront is as durable as homelander and they showed this in the show as well when homelander lasered her and tries to choke her it was like he was strangling a steel pipe. Starlight could be cut with a dremel tool....
eraldorh the point is just because something is or isn’t in the comics, doesn’t mean it will or won’t be on the show. The show writers are aware of how shows are viewed/dissected in this era so adjust their story telling accordingly. Saying something is or isn’t in the comics will have no bearing on what the writers will do in this show.
@@HaleysTusk It certainly does have a bearing its just not guaranteed, it wouldn't be a show based on the comics if it had no bearing.
I am ecstatic over that corduroy collared top......I’ve only found used and retro styles similar and it wasn’t real corduroy.
Whatever it is...I want it (:
I'd wager Edgar is all in for the idea of super army that's owned and controlled by Vought but he doesn't know about Stormfronts plans with the army. Considering she's Voughts wife I'd assume she doesn't really get pressed for oversight. I'm convinced the plan is for them to kill him once the army is done and for Stormfront and Homelander to take control of the company.
It’s ok MM, the boys support your new lifestyle choice 😆
