I work at subway, and its very important to prepare those things correctly. Many owners cheap out on the ingredients, and workers don't care enough to cook them for their required time. The pretzel was undercooked, which is why is was impossible to eat. The churro is extremely bland, but at my store, I add a boat load of cinnamon, like an absurd amount to make up for it. The cookie fortunately is very good, and as long as you arent handing it to the customer cold, its good.
I never got the logic but I like that it makes the actual review and commentary have way more weight than the rating, and forces him to have to actually describe it from various angles. Like oh it's a 7, well what did he say? It tastes like cat shit? Well damn.

The scale being limited to his scale means that as a viewer we cannot differentiate between the 7’s, because obviously there’s no way that all the 7’s taste equal. And that’s just some of the problems I’ve noticed with this scale, there’s so many more I just won’t bother typing but at the end of the day the scale just doesn’t make very much sense.
