That’s a beautiful little engine Jim. Such a nice setup with the boiler and generator. I love the puff puff sound it makes. Every little engine has its own personality. Thanks mate. Cheers Nobby
Thanks Alan, I've acquired three over the years (when the Aussie dollar to USD was better) but have never seen one on Aussie eBay. Tom Jensen certainly designed them as as well made steam engines - Cheers Jim
I‘m thrilled with your fantastic steam plant! Thanks for the introductory explanations and the stunning footage. Extremely enjoyable 12 1/2 minutes … Cheers, Detlef 👍👍👍
As the engine is driving an alternator, rather than a dynamo, connect a little bridge rectifier between the alternator and the lamp, and replace the bulb with a minature mes fitting Led. As long as its connected the right way round, it should illuminate brightly without the engine working hard or going fast.
Thanks for the reply Gary, its good putting a steam engine under load and letting it do some work. Even these small (tiny) incandescent bulbs when you screw them in and out you can hear the engine start to chug and work harder - Cheers Jim
As I mentioned I didn't do that, just becareful taking it apart to mill those two cuts.....does add a lot to the engine and a worthwhile mod - Cheers Jim
I have the safety valve set at 80psi on this boiler Kev, its a very nicely made boiler made to all of the boiler certification standards.....thanks for watching - Cheers Jim
Nice ,I fancy the MSM 2 inch marine plant for a boat I have.Do you have one and any thoughts? Not the econo ,the standard 2 inch and twin cylinder oscillator.Cant find much online. They seem to be very good value.
G'day....I haven't one of the 2" boilers, I have spoken to the owner John of MSM on the phone many times and in conversation he told me that they only use one gent for making all their boilers. Mine is a piece of art, I REALLY love it. Every time (even after all these years) I still get a buzz firing it up. Hope that helps some - Cheers Jim
Agree, but because its not a permanent steam plant and they're all modular parts silicone tubing makes it soooo easy for quick setup and breakdown. I just don't have the room to store full made up permanent steam plants unfortunately - Cheers Jim
Always enjoy your steam engine videos....please keep 'em coming....thank you.
Thank you, that's very much appreciated - Thanks Jim

Nice set up Jim 👍👍👍 Jensen 20s are getting very rare these days, nice to see one in steam. Cheers, Alan.

That's a different looking Jensen with the cutaways....I do like the look of that and may try and copy it.

Great website
Nice setup but the black exhaust pipe doesn't look in keeping with the rest of the high quality setup
