He was great. I had the pleasure of meeting him one time. He did a show at a local college here by me. As we were walking to the door, he was by the back door with some people. We said "Hi John" and he responded and walked over. A quick hello, thanks for coming, hope you enjoy. He certainly didn't have to walk over. True class act! R.I.P. John...
He was one of the greats, unfortunately he didnt have too many stand ups filmed and he died fairly young too so we just treasure what he left behind.

I actually love the self checkout. When I go shopping I have exactly one goal. Get in and out in as little time as possible. Self checkout helps with that AND minimizes human interaction. Double win!

Don't get me wrong i love it when you are just getting an item or 2 but they are so dam slow i hate them if you have a full cart its worse then the line for the cashier. If only we had a machine that scans like the cashiers machine for the self checkout.

This one always cracks me up. As someone who must be gluten free (celiac disease), I feel the exact same way. This made me laugh through some really rough times.

I was surprised and pleased to see this come up, John Pinette is one of my favorite comedians, and I always loved the Beaver Tails bit. I first came across him in the early 90s on one of the MTV comedy shows (same for Jeff Dunham with Peanut), then was surprised to see him when I saw the third Revenge of the Nerds film (he was also in the Thomas Jane Punsher film, which surprised me when I rewatched a scene from that one). I hope you continue to enjoy his work, and as for my suggestion, I have two: camping and white water rafting

He was from Boston. He passed at 50 yrs old from a pulmonary embolism. I love the adorable facial expressions, the accents, and his little sayings like "get out of the line".
John Pinette was one of the best. I got to see him a couple of times. I had tickets to his show, it got postponed 6 months and in that time he passed away. What a good, clean, stand-up.
RIP John Pinnette. So funny, with the accent, his irony, using his body as a prop. So sad he’s gone.

One of the greatest comedians we ever had grace us. Love that Bostonian accent! I'm not a huge comedy fan, but I have watched everything of his that I could find many times over. He was brilliant.
For the record there are places you can get beaver tail without skating to it. They just happen to have a place selling it on the Rideau canal during skating season. For any Americans watching there are Beaver Tail locations in the US.
He has a great bit about being put on a juice diet that you'd like... I think it also has a tie in to this gluten bit, but an extended version of it...
I'd have to say it depends on when in his career you draw from it. I've watched a lot of his stuff, and a lot of the jokes will sometimes get reused or updated (like the gluten here could be considered an update of the carb free diet stuff he talked about previously). I'm not saying that it's a bad thing, of course, I love any iteration of his comedy, he's one of my favorite stand-up acts

Several seconds into this video, I just need to say that I was a cashier’s assistant for almost two decades. They do what they can under sometimes very rough circumstances. Treat them well, and they will give you whatever they can, because they’ve seen it all. They have to hold their tongue. They can’t leave their post. They are a servant of the people. A cog in the machine. As an assistant, at least I didn’t have to be the representative. I didn’t handle the money. I was too afraid to do that (autism), but I was good at what I did, and if I could make someone’s day better, that was all that mattered.
Thank you sir for reacting to this. I love Johns stand up and feel like more people really need to listen to him just to get a laugh out of life. Keep on being awesome and hope you do more from him on your channel. Best of luck.

As somebody who loves hiking, I can say with 100% certainty that this is an accurate definition of hiking. However, the rewards of hiking are completely worth embracing the suck. Also I'm happy for you that you're losing weight, I just hope that once in awhile you can treat yourself with something, because everybody deserves to let themselves off the hook now and then.

I'm also of the unpopular opinion of loving the self checkout. I can do it quicker (in my mind) than they can, and when they ask to check your receipt... it takes, what, ten seconds, maybe? I get it, sometimes you're in a hurry, but certainly not every time.
I agree…but have you heard how much self checkouts are costing companies like Walmart any others…apparently they are losing millions because of theft…how do you think they’ll get that money back…by raising prices…

John Pinette was a treat. Lots of fun jokes. His skiing bit always gets a laugh out of me. If I can name mountains in video games or put signs in front of them in video games, I name them after the mountain they took him to.

First time seeing him this cracking just visual image of him slamming into the Canadian family twice had me rolling reminded me of my first skiing trip...I don't know who the great idea to have the line to the ski lift at the bottom of the beginners sloap. But you should have seen the faces of the people when I came flying down the hill and had no idea that poles were not meant to stop you I took out 15 people when I put the poles in ground and went air born.
11:17 I've been checked out by a walmart employee at the side exit with another employee standing 10 feet away next to the door.
The Cashier bagged all my items, I walked 8 feet, and then he still wanted to check my bags and take my receipt.

There is nothing more annoying than showing up for a 6:00 am flight (at 4:30, because 22 years after 9/11, we can't sort out TSA wait times), with one rep behind the counter and no other customer in sight, going through their silly rope maze, and then having them tell you to use the check-in kiosk for your boarding pass before you can check your bags. With them. After you've wasted time at the kiosk doing their job. Maybe these are DIA problems, but I HATE the entire process of checking in, even before they delay/cancel my flight. We need high speed rail or something.

PRO TIP: register a second email and get a cheap VOIP service or a cheap calls-only "dumb phone" for vendors and set it to go straight to voicemail. Give those out to all those "required" vendor interactions. Then you can check it every so often to catch the 2% of messages that aren't spam or junk.

related to the Walmart comment, unless its a members club like Sam's club they can ask but you can also say no. I have always responded with no thank you when they ask to see my receipt and kept walking. If they suspect me of shoplifting call it that but asking to see my receipt, you had your chance at the register, after that what's in the bag is now my personal property and I don't need a receipt to prove that.
My wife is gluten and dairy free. It was sucky at first but brands are starting to catch up; there are a lot of tasty things now. Keto on the other hand, is super gross.

You all need to explain how keto is gross? If you are eating keto bread etc. okay sure, but why are you eating fake bread on keto anyway? Steak bacon chicken cheese butter broccoli spinach avocado and things of that nature are all keto friendly so I'm not getting the gross part. I'm not judging just trying to understand as I have never heard someone describe it as gross. Hard sure but not gross.

I think the beaver tail is basically a denser elephant ear with many of the same fixings after checking it out.
While I can agree to a certain point with John, I actually love hiking. The Japanese had a term to describe what I enjoy most about it, namely "shinrin-yoku". I am at peace in nature, hence why I live simply and enjoy the woods and mountains. Just to get away from the hustle and bustle of the cities and towns to experience a less taxing existence is healing to me, Mr. Boyd, but I do understand where he is coming from.
Sadly John passed away at the age of 50 even though he lost about 100 lbs...heart

Laptop Warranties will pay for themselves if you do a lot of gaming/typing.
I've gone through about 6 keyboards on my current laptop, roughly 1 a year. They're about 50 bucks a piece now, but they were 80 when the warranty was active and saved me 4x the cost of the warranty... and I also sent it in when the motherboard died which saved me ~750.
A Desktop warranty is hit or miss because it doesn't cover the peripherals, and the only thing that might die on you is the power supply.

There's something I go into if my sugar is too high. It's called ketoacidosis, so keto, is specifically protein. As well, that keto yogurt, it just didnt have the added sugar in it.
