My late dad’s favorite actor of all time! Some of his estate was up for auction years ago and my mom scored one of his used smoking pipes and a used shaving kit for my dad. He broke down in tears sobbing, I’ll never forget that and now I own them both and treasure them like my dad did❤
My father joined the army prior to WW II. Whilevin the South Pacific he met Errol Flynn. According to dad this was the best visit of all time for him and other military personnel. Flynn was funny and down to earth.
I am Canada's #1 Errol Flynn fan, he was and still is, my favorite movie star of all time. This video is a HOME RUN Jordan. On and off the screen Errol RULED. "in like Flynn". THANK YOU Jordan....Cheers Sport.
Thank you Jordan for this memorial/biography. What a life he had! Also thank you for including all these marvellous memories Shelley shared with you. When added to your own knowledge and background research, such anecdotes reveal a great deal about Errol's complex, yet somehow likeable, character. A brilliant episode.
in The 1970s I lived in the UK, i knew an old Irish drunk that was a boxing and drinking buddy of Errol Flynn when he lived in the UK in the 1930s.. I think its cool I have got drunk with someone that used to get drunk with Errol Flynn.
He was in Vancouver finalizing the sale of his boat the ZACA - Errol was broke - He was partying as usual and excused himself to a bedroom to rest - His last words were - I shall return - Autopsy revealed that he had the body of an 85 yr old man
Thank you Jordan for this terrific segment. I have always been a fan of Erroll Flynn. To anyone interested please read his autobiography "My Wicked Wicked Ways"! It is a great book and he does not hold back. He also had a daughter with his last wife who was named Arnella Flynn. Unfortunately she died of substance abuse issues I believe back in Jamaica. I believe he left his mark on Hollywood and you cannot talk about the all time greats without talking about Erroll Flynn. Again, please read his autobiography as it is well worth it.
I’ve seen old news clips of Errol Flynn on the TCM movie channel with his father on a yacht diving and exploring for different things from the ocean floor. He was carefree alright! Thank you Jordan for sharing his life story with us. ❤🙏🎬🎥🌟
He was my Dad’s favorite and he owned all his movies…on VHS. We had started giving him the movies on DVD. We all took some of the movies when he passed away as a great memory. Captain Blood was his favorite.
I've been to port Antonio in Jamaica. The port is named after Errol Flynn. Beautiful part of Jamaica. They his wife Miss Flynn. Keep these old Hollywood stories coming. Love it!!! ❤❤❤
Every time I watch your videos I always go and look up the person you’re talking about otherwise I wouldn’t know. A lot of these iconic people have fascinating lives it’s really cool man, keep it up!🙌👌🤘
Great video man!!! I’ve heard of this legend. Never would have guessed he had so many demons and was a bit of a drug addict, rebel, and quite the player with women. He self-destructed.
I heartily recommend his autobiography, My Wicked Wicked Ways. Just over 400 pages long and i could not put it down. One thing i admired about him in the book is that despite the fact that he likely will have had enemies, is that not one of the people he spoke of did he put down or slag off, especially any that were not topside of this earth where they could have responded. Great read and written extremely intelligibly.
Great video very informative and well presented. He was a character and crazy Aussie. A good Australian band has a song about him called Errol by Australian Crawl, its a good song about his life. It would be awesome to go back in time during the Golden age of Hollywood. Shelley was gorgeous woman
Yvonne de Carlo stated on the record that that evening up at Flynn's house, that Shelley wrote about in her first memoir in 1979, never happened. Who knows? The story that Flynn told in "My Wicked, Wicked Ways" was that the D.A. who was paid off by the studios was Buron Fitts. In a political race, Fitts was unseated by "Honest John" Dockweiler. The studios had heavily backed Fitts and made token campaign contributions to Dockweiler's campaign. Dockweiler won on a "reform" ticket. The first big star to get into a jam after Dockweiler became D.A. was Flynn. Betty Hansen had Flynn's phone number in her address book when she was picked up for vagrancy, and Peggy Satterlee had sailed to Catalina on Flynn's yacht, Sirocco. Flynn and others felt that he was set up as an example. The jury also saw it that way. Having Geisler for a lawyer didn't hurt.
This was great! When l so bed bound a lot with chronic back pain l found you on RUclips and I immediately fell in love with your videos about Old Hollywood! I'm a animal person and loved the way you loved Jah. Taking him on his walks and to the dog park before you started your vlogs and sometimes ending with you walking him again! I'm now going to go down a rabbit hole about him and his life and read his book. The Nelson video was good learning about Errol Flynns house and Ricky Nelson. TY Jordan! This was a great one!❤to Katie and Jah! Take care and safe travels ❤️
I remember spending my days at our local library as a kid & reading all the biographies I could on old Hollywood & mr.flynn was definitely on that list as was Shelley Winters, I always look forward to these stories thanks again, take care.
I try to watch the Adventures of Robin Hood at least one a year. It's a safe movie for families, you don't see any blood. He was a good actor and unappreciated in his life. He wanted to live life to the fullest, and did, and paid the price in an early death. What you didn't mention was that his grave was unmarked for many years until his daughters got a marker placed on the grave. Tasmania is an island State of Australia, a beautiful place.
Wow! He's always been one of my favorites, good looks and such an interesting life. You can honestly say Errol Flynn lived a large life, just a shame it took such a terrible toll on him in the end.
I loved Errol Flynn. My dad used to watch his movies and I loved watching them also. I think the first movie I saw was Captain Blood. It ended up being my favorite movie. I bought books about him and I had some photo prints. His looks were unbelievable. I think he was the best looking actor ever. It’s weird because he had an exciting life but at the same time it was a sad life also. Thanks for the video.
Interesting story. Kind of a creepy life he lived. There was supposed to be a lot of ghosts in the Mullholland house. Thanks for sharing his story. Take care.
That Shelley, she was a fantastic actress, but man she is almost as famous for all the stories that are shared about her. Jordan, I'm glad you met her and got to know the heart of inside her. 🫶 👍👍
He was, and is an Australian from the State of Tasmania. Anyway, as they say in the classics...."In like Flynn." Errol was an original wild colonial boy. Great episode!
Well, technically, he is buried in Glendale, not Hollywood. But you are correct about how he would have liked being buried in Jamaica. I have always wondered if he could not get permission to be buried there, in Jamacia, and why he is where he is today. Another wonderful story.
I had a feeling that those rumors that Errol was a spy was just that. I've never read his autobiography, but there was a TV movie based on it. Saw it years ago
"In like Flynn" & "My Wicked, Wicked Ways" attributed to him. Great actor. Great stories. He lived life his way. Looked much older than 50 when he passed. Also spent time with Fidel Castro ?
Many years ago my father was enlisted in the Canadian navy . One time he was on leave and spent his time in San Francisco and had lunch at a small restaurant and was challenged to a game of pinball by a man there . Afterwards my father thought he looked familiar and he asked the waitress who he was and she said he was Errol Flybb.
Errol Flynn-was born in my home town-Hobart Tasmania--here's an interesting story-Errol worked in New Guinea-on a Gov.Job in the 1930s-he got the sack, for getting into fights,-while in Port-Moresby-he used to drink at one the Bars in town,-& ran up a bar bill-of around-$200--& took off on a yacht-back to Aussie-not paying!--meanwhile he gets famous in Hollywood,-& is a big Deal !!-then in 1941-the war breaks out-& a lot American Airmen are in New-guinea-drinking at "jack-Bar"-the see a picture of Errol on the wall, with the"unpaid-bill=$200-they say"now he is a "Hollywood-Big-Shot"-send him a letter and tell him you want this Bill-Paid or else!!--the Bar-man-does so--about 4 months later-the Barman -gets a package from Hollywood-he opens it up-to find -"an Autographed picture of Errol"-signed-with "Kiss-My-Ass"-on it !!--the picture of Errol, was put back on Wall-!!--this was told to me by Cap.Doug.-West -Skipper of the ''Maimuna"-a copra Boat that used to drink at "jack-Bar"-1936--1955"-
In like Flynn… when I was a kid I thought it was “in like flint” as in a Zippo lighter flint! 😂Once I found about his… “passions” I went oooooooooooooohhhhhhh😂
Flynn had an adventurist life for sure. Incredibly, he died at age fifty and was very ill for years before. His relatively short life wasn't all fun and games. I read his biography 25 years ago and there is no doubt he lived on the edge and beyond. A good boxer, he enjoyed beating up other persons of notoriety while at parties. On one occasion he picked a fight with an actor by the name of Victor Jory. It didn't go well for Errol and it was said he quit picking fights after that?? There is no doubt he led an unusual life. RIP Errol
There are those great romantic adventurers like Jack Barrymore, Flynn and Sterling Hayden that really lived their lives the way they wanted. Couple points his first film wasn't a silent - "In the Wake of the Bounty". It might have been better as a silent because Flynn is really bad at delivering his lines. Later no one can compete with him as Robin Hood. Also Lili Damita spent the later part of her life searching for her son, Sean.
Jordan, did you ever get your solar panel debacle sorted out? I still think about it because I've been a Floridian for 30 yrs. Every time I've looked into solar and come across all the shady scams and installers & manufacturers leaving people high & dry, I'm just ..."Ugh, no". And the ROI (return on investment) math just NEVER added up. I just felt so bad for you when I watched that!
In his book - FULL SERVICE - Scotty Bowers said that Errol would always call in up - Wanting Scotty to set him up with some Girl's that were underage - Scotty would always turn Errol down flat - Scotty told Errol - That's not going to happen . . .
My late dad’s favorite actor of all time! Some of his estate was up for auction years ago and my mom scored one of his used smoking pipes and a used shaving kit for my dad. He broke down in tears sobbing, I’ll never forget that and now I own them both and treasure them like my dad did❤
Nice comment.
My father joined the army prior to WW II. Whilevin the South Pacific he met Errol Flynn. According to dad this was the best visit of all time for him and other military personnel. Flynn was funny and down to earth.
Errol Flynn was an adventurer, sailor, explorer, boxer, author, actor and father. He lived two lifetimes in one.
My all-time favorite. He was,a seaman at heart. Acting was a way to finance his adventures
Alot of people didn't realise he was Australian.
Pretty cool video Jordan
Captain Blood is a great film ❤
I love your Shelly stories Jordan! Do more!
I am Canada's #1 Errol Flynn fan, he was and still is, my favorite movie star of all time. This video is a HOME RUN Jordan. On and off the screen Errol RULED. "in like Flynn". THANK YOU Jordan....Cheers Sport.

That was probably jack doyle who was hanging out in Hollywood in the 30s
Errol was wasted away at 50
He was in Vancouver finalizing the sale of his boat the ZACA - Errol was broke - He was partying as usual and excused himself to a bedroom to rest - His last words were - I shall return - Autopsy revealed that he had the body of an 85 yr old man
My Wicked Wicked Ways-Errol’s autobiography, was a coaster ride. His acting was stellar and he was brutally gorgeous.
gorgeous is right
RIP Actor Errol Flynn ❤ 🌹🌷🌻💐🌻🌷🌻💐🎉

I went on Erroll Flynn's boat in Lake Taupo New Zealand. It was a great experience.
He was beautiful to look at. Such a sad life.
He was my Dad’s favorite and he owned all his movies…on VHS. We had started giving him the movies on DVD. We all took some of the movies when he passed away as a great memory. Captain Blood was his favorite.
I'm glad Shelly shared her life stories with you .

Thank you for this fascinating biography of Errol Flynn. What a guy!
I remember Errol's famous quote, " A man is a failure if he dies with more than a thousand dollars in the bank." lol What a character!!
That's fantastic lol
Every time I watch your videos I always go and look up the person you’re talking about otherwise I wouldn’t know. A lot of these iconic people have fascinating lives it’s really cool man, keep it up!🙌👌🤘
Great video man!!! I’ve heard of this legend. Never would have guessed he had so many demons and was a bit of a drug addict, rebel, and quite the player with women. He self-destructed.
I always remember him in that old Robin Hood movie! He really was fantastic in that…..
Flynn has said he learnt his trade in theatre in Northampton, England. He had a theatre named after him there. Great actor, great (though short) life.
I heartily recommend his autobiography, My Wicked Wicked Ways. Just over 400 pages long and i could not put it down. Thank you! Never knew all this about these actors. I hate to say it but Errol was a bit of a scoundrel haha 😂😅
Quite.
These stories from old Hollywood are my favorites of yours.
Great video very informative and well presented. He was a character and crazy Aussie.
A good Australian band has a song about him called Errol by Australian Crawl, its a good song about his life.
It would be awesome to go back in time during the Golden age of Hollywood. Shelley was gorgeous woman
What a great video on Errol Flynn 💖💖💖👏
😔I hope he found peace eventually ☹️

Awesome dude these old movie star memories need to be kept alive these people are way better than what we are dealing with today

Interesting and good Hollywood actor, loved all his movies. R.I.P. Error ❤.
Very interesting, I thoroughly enjoyed that Jordan. Thank you. X
such a sad life but oh gosh that man was soo good looking and NO NO NO ONE will be Robin Hood but him for me
I really enjoy this RUclips channel!
What a weird coincidence, I'm just reading a biography about Errol Flynn and this video pops up.😮
He enjoyed life and didn't seem to worry too much. He was very handsome. Thanks Jordan Very interesting.
Ty! Your voice and way are so peaceful!
Wow! He's always been one of my favorites, good looks and such an interesting life. You can honestly say Errol Flynn lived a large life, just a shame it took such a terrible toll on him in the end.

Your stories are always great, but my favorite are of old Hollywood! Thanks Jordan!😊
Legend dude. Guy lived his life to fullest
What he done to Veronica Lake was inexcusable !! Ruined her life! And got away with it!!
I'll have to check that out!
I really enjoyed this one. Say what you will about Errol, but he was never boring.
I went by his hometown as a kid back in the mid 70s when my parents were visiting friends in Hobart Tassie.
Thanks for the video I enjoyed watching
That Shelley, she was a fantastic actress, but man she is almost as famous for all the stories that are shared about her. Jordan, I'm glad you met her and got to know the heart of inside her. 🫶
👍👍
Like the way you say the stories
Wow thank you so much for this video 99% of what you said I didn't even know that happened to him keep it going love watching all your videos 👍🏼
He was, and is an Australian from the State of Tasmania. Anyway, as they say in the classics...."In like Flynn." Errol was an original wild colonial boy. Great episode!
What a wild life he had, but that’s what he wanted, ty for this Jordan 🥰🤗🐾😎
RIP Errol Flynn
This was so interesting! I only knew of him as Robin Hood. What a character he was. So handsome, it's no wonder he could get so many girls
Thanks again for sharing Jordan and Jah
Well, technically, he is buried in Glendale, not Hollywood. But you are correct about how he would have liked being buried in Jamaica. I have always wondered if he could not get permission to be buried there, in Jamacia, and why he is where he is today. Another wonderful story.
I love that he kept his Australian accent in every movie he made.
I had a feeling that those rumors that Errol was a spy was just that. I've never read his autobiography, but there was a TV movie based on it. Saw it years ago
Timothy Dalton's character in the Rocketeer was modeled on Flynn.
Never liked Flynn but the way you tell stories and narratives are so great I cannot thank you enough for the videos
"In like Flynn" & "My Wicked, Wicked Ways" attributed to him. Great actor. Great stories. He lived life his way. Looked much older than 50 when he passed. Also spent time with Fidel Castro ?
That autobiography of his was quite good to read.I would recommend it to anyone who is interested, liked Errol Flynn, which I do!
Home sweet home Glendale California, been here since 1979.
Many years ago my father was enlisted in the Canadian navy . One time he was on leave and spent his time in San Francisco and had lunch at a small restaurant and was challenged to a game of pinball by a man there . The cemeteries in LA are so cool.

Excellent piece on this screen legend
In like Flynn… when I was a kid I thought it was “in like flint” as in a Zippo lighter flint! 😂Once I found about his… “passions” I went oooooooooooooohhhhhhh😂
Errol lived and died as he wished, RIP🤗
So handsome! I would watch the classic movies! Thanks!!
Didn’t know about his private life!
Maybe we shouldn’t know!!😳
Hi what was your source on the “fight” over Shelley Winters? Have never heard that.
Errol Flynn lived one heck of a life
Good video 😊
I remember when I was a kid.I saw him in a Bugs Bunny cartoon.
He was robin hood
He was so Handsome 😻
Wow, great story!
His "Mentor"...🤔
He lived the life thats for sure...eventually it caught up with him but stop or change? Nope!

The Vancouver Police Museum is the defunct morgue. He is one of the stories from the tour.
✨I always enjoy your videos. Especially when you tell stories and memorize people. Hope you, Katie and Jah are well. ~Love&Light♥️C.
Poor man had to sell his yacht 😪😪😪 😂😂😂

I wish actor Michael Whalen had a grave video. He was in Shirley Temple movies.
When I was a kid back in the 60's. On TV Errol Flynn was like the Brad Pitt of today.
I loved it when Shelly Winters dumped her drink on that English actor’s head lol
Did she ever talk about that?
That was Oliver Reed
@@robb6996 thank you. I thought Shelly handled him perfectly
Jordan, did you ever get your solar panel debacle sorted out? I still think about it because I've been a Floridian for 30 yrs. In his book - FULL SERVICE - Scotty Bowers said that Errol would always call in up - Wanting Scotty to set him up with some Girl's that were underage - Scotty would always turn Errol down flat - Scotty told Errol - That's not going to happen . . .
That is 100% not true. He was not mentioned in that book. Please get your facts right
A+
Errol that’s different name it’s usually earl
I loved his action movies Robin Hood is one of my favorite movies. I ignore rumors about his personal and political life.
My All time favorite screen idol. Quite the bad boy! ❤ So where is Lilly Damita buried?
Fort Dodge, IA at Oakland Cemetery. Her last husband Allen Loomis is buried next to her.
What a shame such a nice looking man was such a jerk.
He was obviously a narcissist who liked underage girls
