7-Eleven Slurpee + Tetris Handheld is SOLD OUT and in HIGH DEMAND!

- You may remember last year when 7-Eleven was running a Pac-Man promotion collaborating with Namco Bandai. Well, they're at it again this year, but this time around they've partnered with Tetris on the occasion of the 40th anniversary celebration.
They've got hats & tees, of course, but the featured prize is a Slurpee cup that also plays Tetris! They were briefly for sale online at 7-Eleven's website but quickly sold out and are now fetching as much as $130 on eBay!
The 7-Eleven Tetris Slurpee cup was manufactured by our friends over at My Arcade, who provided one for us to check out.
Crossover collectibles like this can be in high demand because you get fans from both sides trying to get their hands on them. 7-Eleven & Slurpee people want it because it's a Slurpee cup with Tetris in it. Tetris fans want it because it's an out-of-the-ordinary housing for their favorite game. And together, they've certainly done their respective jobs to amp up the demand for this little toy.
But before you decide to pull the trigger, let's take this one to the table, open 'er up, and see what features it has to offer.

I liked the Pac-Man promotion. Got the hat and some stickers. I have the My Arcade Tetris handheld and it has the same D-pad and buttons. The casing on this is cool for sure, especially with the power on. It's definitely a cool novelty.

Just recently bought a Tetris Pocket Player Pro at FYE, so I'm good.

I didn't even know this was a thing, but I don't have any 7-Eleven's near me anyway so maybe that's why 🤷♂ The big convenience stores in my area are Kum & Go and Casey's

At first, I was like "how corny" then the LED and Tetris remix music kicks in , well dang guess i would by that for 5 dollars at a 7-11 😅

I can't stand price gougers like that. They deliberately scoop up as many as they can to sell them for ridiculously high prices. I remember when they did this with the SNES Classic. It's one thing to sell some old collectable for a high price, but something that just came out? SMH.

I don't care if it was $50 on eBay that's still way too much. You can put a game on just about anything now. I don't care how big into collecting you are, a hundred or more for a glorified 7-11 cup is beyond stupid
Easy, now. 😁 Value is in the eye of the customer. If it's not worth that to you - perfectly valid. But calling anyone who is interested enough and willing to pay a premium "beyond stupid" is a bit much. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts.

Boy, what a pathetic experience.. Been on the list, got an e-mail, it was gone in 10 minutes.. Thousands of additional customers want to purchase this, and they're going to put us out to the trash and only allow people to win them in a giveaway if they go into the store and buy something now.. I'm a Tetris nut but I'll pass on this one. It's nifty but I couldn't use it to play with that tiny screen. Still it's unique

Sadly, the Slurpee Tetris looks better than the Tetris that was included with the Sega Genesis Mini. I like that system a lot, but that version of Tetris... yeesh.

What is it with us Genx man babies 😂buying this stuff? Stuff we already own. I love Tetris don’t get me wrong but I’d never spend 130 bucks on it, I wouldn’t even. Pay 30 bucks. If I did I’d buy an OG NES or GBC with Tetris then you truly have the OG nostalgia experience. Except I already have them 😂And of course I have an emulator handheld too and frankly that’s all you need and you can play everything up to PS1 for less than that! And it’s ergonomic.
i went to my local 7 11 and wanted to get some of the pac man stuff but didn't have money on me , i went two days later, they said they had trashed it because no one was buying it
Ahhh. The employees likely stashed it for resale. It's all pretty overpriced.
My husband won one he’s a store manager at speedway and he won out of 9000 stores. It’s funny cause he didn’t think he was going to win lol

Maybe your local stores closed, but they never went out of business.

Somebody needs to find a way to dump the rom of this exclusive Tetris game and make a driver for it on mame and it sounds like they used system on a chip.
