There are two types of these queens. The ones that aren't sapient (Can't speak) (The one in the video is one of these queens) and the sapient ones which can speak. The ones that can speak are called a brood mother
+LittleBigKid2000 not necessarily, in "Fire in the Sky" you find a queen that speaks, and explains that more of her Brood are buried beneath the dead... granted that HotS campaign queens are swarm queens, but that means the Brood Mothers are not the only ones that can speak...
StarCraft 2 has so much plot about the hybrids and making sure they're not going to become a massive unstoppable army...but look at the Queen. Kerrigan already made a hybrid - it looks just like a Protoss and Zerg combined.
The creep is a biomass of a carpet that feeds zerg buildings, keeps them alive and probably camoflages the zerg. They also run faster on the creep, so there is that.

Plus the Zerg are telepathic as well, so it'd make sense for the units higher in the hierarchy that generally don't do combat to lack mouths as they do not need to be ravenous, but semi intelligent

Isn't the term "queen" pretty much a bit of a misnomer? She isn't exactly the sole reproducing member who is the center of the hive's activities (as a queen in the general sense would), she is more of a nurse or hive guardian who protects the hive and tends the larvae.
In some species of insects,such as ants and bees,the queen,being the only fertile female,is the only member of the colony which reproduces and lays eggs.

Well...I think the Queen can be considered a lot more like a spider in Zerg terminology, so more like Arachnophobes and Arachnophiles.
But then again, the Zerg are all kinda diverse, so determining which group of arthropod they are is hard to say.
Wonder if this is a reference to the alien stage in Streets of Rage? The sounds REALLY remind me of it.
