I have been trying to find out if the stock diverter on a 2013 would work on a 2011. Seeing that this bov works for both, is there a possibility of making an adapter so the older genesis can use the newer "replaceable" $40 part since you have to replace the whole unit on a 2011 if it fails?
My 2014 gen coupe when I try to instal won't open up for some reason. I change the coil out to the yellow one but still can't figure out what's wrong.
Josh.E.Videos did you fix it
Josh.E.Videos how did you change the spring?
got a forge value is stuck open wont close just happened today so im looking around what to do. tmmrw will open and grease and see if that works.
Same issue, please let me know if it worked and what you used!
hey nelson, funny thing is so i open the hood., the valve is open ofcoruse. i start the car. you can see the value is stuck open , i took a screwdriver or Philips head or something long. i tapped the back of it and it released the value that means it got stuck because less lube friction etc. i took some Spray lube turned off the car and sprayed the holes., start the car it worked and CEL light went off and i turned it off again lubed it again just to make sure and pumped some real hard revs and yeah so far so good. i know one day ill have to reopen it and lube it the spring
Thanks man, what spray lube did you use? I will use this temporary fix until I open it myself.
liquid wrench is fine they say wd40 but i wouldnt personally bc i know how that works on these types of parts, was very happy it was just stuck not something big.
neoda91 so question real quick bought the same bov. So when I rev and let go of the gas it only opens up a little bit is that normal
i just got one
but i saw that when the car is off the BOV stay open
is that normal
yes it's suppose to. shut the car off wait about 3-4 seconds and you'll hear a small pop, escaping of gas.
how would i know which spring to use?
i would like to know this aswell. have you found out?
There are given boost numbers for different chims but I ended up trying out all of them and used whichever felt the best which ended up matching with the given boost table
