Really great intro! Thanks for this nice clear video. I have been budgeting with Excel for over 20 years, but am just now taking the leap and using an app like Mint.

Thank you so much. This really helped me understand more Mint and I think this will be my new favorite app to use. :)
Thanks so much for this amazing video!
Super, super helpful! Excellent video! Would be interested in any future videos of this sort or following your blog or podcast, if available! Thanks so much! God bless all your future endeavors!
Very helpful, thanks!!!
I just signed up with Mint. When I enrolled my various accounts it brought in transactions from previous months. I wish to start everything from scratch beginning with February 1st. How can I delete all of the old transactions?
Gracias! Excellent video! =)
Was unsure about using Mint however this was very detailed and removed all doubt. Can't wait to create my account and get started. Mint better have paid you lol
Is it safe to put your private information especially debit/credit card info??? And how do you separate the expenses using different cards???
Nice Job!
Thanks so much very useful
thanks good video
Thank you!!
Thank you for your video. Do you know of any issues with linking your credit personal information to Mint? By if any identity theft issues? Ty
Good video man. I'm 27 and am just now getting into budgeting..something I wish my parents or school had taught me how to do :*(
totally understand.
same here, i just get the feeling of monitoring my expenses.
Only if school would teach us how to write a check or budget or how banking works.
SevenXilents Dave Ramsey.
I showed my husband and daughter how to write checks and budget. I looked it up myself. If you can read or listen, you do not have to be spoon fed by the schools. Educate
yourselves please on each and everything.
Is there a way to redo a budget on Mint? I just originally went with what they had and want to fix it.
That helped. Thanks
I want to budget well before I am an adult and start saving now, I am curious if the mint program will allow me to set up percentages of income for each category instead of a standard number. I do not have consistent income so I would prefer to set aside a percentage of my paycheck for each category
This was so well done, thank you!
Can you go back and make the budget categories retroactive? They seem "locked" to me. Also, will the budget categories carry forward each month? Thanks.
Great instructional video, Mint should attach a link for your video especially regarding "Creating the Budget"
If you have the time to reply., can we go back in time? I would like to go back to the beginning of 2019.
How do i set up payment on individual bills at the same time show payment for my credit card, if i use a single credit card for most of the bills? What is the easiest way to set it up on Mint in this circumstance?
Hi, I’m wondering if you guys only use mint or do you also use a excel sheet or other forms of budgeting?
can you tell me how to reset a due date on a bill in mint?
So every transaction from my credit card has to be assigned a category ie food gas medical groceries etc.? Seems cumbersome that I would have to do that every month. Or am I missing something?
When you 1st enter all of your financial information into Mint, how far back in time does it track your purchase transactions? Thanks,
It starts the day the you begin your budget. It does not go back to transactions from before you started your account unless you add manually.
@@neilr8738 it actually pulls pretty far back. I started my Mint account this morning and just added all of my accounts and it pulled transactions from before July. And I don't actually know how far it went back, but I quit clicking through the pages once I hit July. I was hoping it didn't go back that far because since I haven't correctly categorized all of those transactions, it shows my income to be WAY off in the positive. (I wish! Ha!) Anyway, just wanted to let you know. If you know how to stop that from happening and just start for September, please let me know!!
is there any alternative for someone outside the us?
What do you do in a situation where you pay for the bill on your credit card and people either venmo you or give you cash? How do account for this, because you may be over the 'food' budget but in reality, you're still on track.
I am confused on Super and Sub Categories. As Auto and Auto-gas. Say I assign $50 to Auto-gas. Do I also assign $50 to Auto? Do the subcategories roll up? Would I be double budgeting?
Is it sercure to link all your bank and investment accounts to mint?
how do u add the money
Hey just a question....why does the budget say spending in RED $3300.00 when that's not what you spent yet? ALSO why on the left hand side does the budget not add up???? It says $230 spent of $3300...but when I add it up on my calculator it never adds up!! Also in my mint.. I am s oconfused.
Question: you go to Target and buy items that apply to multiple labels like food, personal Phil, auto maintenance, personnel shared etc all as one bank transaction. How to you label that debit from your account?
You have the ability to split every purchase to multiple Categories within seconds.
Is it possible to divide the budget by percentage? I have different sources of income and wanted to budget this way. Is it possible for mint to divide it automatically? Let's say 10% goes to personal, 30% to bills and utilities.. Etc..
Thx I'll change bills to budget it's easier
Thank you, just worried about security of information and website.
Peter Harper I have been using Mint for 4 years and never had an issue. Hope that helps.
I tried to sign up and then discovered Canada and the USA are the only country options available. Any suggestions for something similar for New Zealand?
+ThisIsPain, did you try to sign up for the free course on courses.videoschoolonline.com? or the masterclass on udemy?
Yeah I have signed up for your masterclass. Only watched the first few videos so far though
+ThisIsPain oh you meant using Mint.com for New Zealand. PersonalCaptial.com is another option that might work.

Yeah I meant an alternative to mint. Just tried to get that other one, but not available in nz
1:10 At this point you're moving your mouse pointer as if you're reading from the screen, but I don't see what you're saying.
I seem to be experiencing a problem that keeps me from watching past 1 minute 40 seconds. I hope to be back when that is solved.
Hi
I am in search of a good app. But I'd like to paint a scenario. What if you were to buy a coffee from Starbucks with your debit card from your bank account and as your card swipes you get a ding on your phone. That ding notifies you that you have made a purchase and it would ask you what category you would like to put it. You answer the question and lock your phone and it automatically goes into the category you have created. Does this app offer something like this?
Allen Coe it's automatic
stonks
I ya camera too close to face
I wonder what does mint.com is doing with all of its users’ complete spending habits. Maybe selling them to a bunch of marketing firms that will bombard them with spams and unnecessary targeted advertising emails
Did you eat a blueberry posicle? hahaha
+Pietro Del Franco hahaha I WAS WAITING FOR THIS! I downed a gatorade before recording this :P
Lol...still a great video :)
Not gonna lie my gaydar is going off hard. No way this dude has a wife.
Thank you very helpful
