Thanks again Christopher always such good practical info. I have your Mom's Beginner Mandolin DVD and she addressed the shuffle lick but you've given me all kinds of practical ways to apply the timing. And that's what I always need to work on. You're given me all kinds of warmup exercises. Really appreciate it.

I've been over thinking this in my head since I watched this video. All the tunes I've learned so far I count/think of as 1 & 2 &... (always setting my metronome to click on the second and fourth beat) until I learned "Your Love is Like a Flower" from one of your videos. There is a definite difference in feel between the two ways of counting. Is porting say, Billy in the Low Ground, to a 16th note feel as simple as making the 8th notes into sixteenth notes?

I think so!! It might be like Fahrenheit and Celsius. Measuring the same thing different ways.

The counting is tricky, but it can be so helpful to put some work in with it - be gentle with yourself tho!
