A Peterbuilt looks so good and fun to drive on the Pennsylvanian highway, just love the way you engage the gear shifts and the engine sound changes. Great job.
Hanging out beside the BIG FKN TRUCK. Love those turds.
Your truck Rocks :)
The exhaust note seems to be freaking my cat out. He keeps looking at the speakers and wants to get out of the house :)
Pretty work young man, thank you for your videos, stay safe.
Like these longer vids. Hope to see more in the future. Will be checking out part 2 right after
Hey you backed her in just fine . That’s the exact kind of trucking video I like the best !
All about the road and kinda long. Thanks .
Enjoyed the video. Keep on trucking and stay safe.
Excellent night footage!
Those sunglasses/drivers glasses are great!
Same color tint is used for the shooting range!
Great detail with yellow tint!
Very Good Video.
Here in Brazil, we don't have nice those Peterbilt's and Kenwoth's.
I would love to see those trucks around here one day.
I like those yellow glasses also - got mine at the Dollar Store - have several pair.
Man I can't wait to drive a truck. Also ur truck is sharp and it has it when u need it power wise 💙👌👍
Wish my company truck could sing like yours in them PA hills
With a tuned up cat like yours it may be worth looking into getting fueling upgrades. After a long pull with some weird fuel issues can mean you just barely don't have enough fuel supply. I've followed a company called Pittsburgh Power and they have a dyno that can load it up and pinpoint the issue. Not sure if something like that's an option for you but may be a good idea to get the issue looked at and get the engine the fuel it needs to sing and maybe get a good look at the "backyard tune" you've mentioned. Regardless it sounds great with those new pipes, keep it working and the wheels down sir.
Yeah backyard tune was changed out for a proper one that works with this setup. I’ll look into Pittsburg power!
@@callthemall Nice, good to hear that. Check them out, they aren't too active on youtube but they have videos of trucks on the dyno with your same exact issue. It was the first thing that came to mind as soon as you talked about it. Hope it helps.
i just drove all of this this past weekend. Up to buffalo and back down to nyc area
I’m from that area and drive thru Duncannon on the regular! U gotta start trying Gutters! (Rutter’s) Good coffee good food and usually parking. Ok guess u did 😂
Yep they're basically remodeling every other service plaza..bringing in new fast food joints heard chic filet..steak and shake...and a few others...sucks when I have to go to Albany bc the ones that are open are busy
Welcome to Pennsylvania man.
hope you figured out the fuel issue. my fuel tank vents were plugged and it was forcing air into my common rail.
i actually like the commentary on the long videos, 1 hour of ASMR is good for background noise but the commentary makes it a drivealong
🤣🤣🤣🤣 Wassup With that Zip Tie Antenna you got going on there
😂 fuel pressure gauge, trying to track down some rough morning starts and a shake at speed
I’ve just recently found your channel. So you know, you can record any US officials while they are conducting business. So you can record DOT. If they ask you not to, I would turn it off. I’ve learned to stay on the good side of the police and DOT.
good luck with that duncannon stop that truck stop is not very big I live 8 mi from their
Very nice I question the bumper and why you decided to go that route
Well the headlights are pretty dim so I wanted to put oversized driving lights on and the only way to make that work is with a smaller bumper, plus it’s a concept that I’ve been thinking about for a few years and finally pulled the trigger on last year!
I was a mechanic for precision drilling of canada in williamsport for a few years. The marcellus shale formation is big there.Alot of natural gas drilling around the area.Did cat ever put a cat sight glass inline before the filter head to check for air ? Most air intrusion problems usually are from the filter head on back to the tanks, it can be a pain in the ass to isolate it. I have found cracked pickup tubes in tanks . Another issue was right under the bunk is a T-fitting which splits off to right and left tank draws and the main feed to the filter head. It had a small crack in it that didn’t raise itself up till the fuel was hot after running the engine for a bit.
Cool story bro
Very good points for considering !
Yeah sight glasses showed no bubbles, I’m currently running some tests to see if it’s head gasket now. Changed the primary air filter housing, and that fuel T, still same crappy bucking and popping when it’s cold.. I will be changing Fuel lines next but I don’t think that’s the problem, but it won’t hurt!!
Love how your truck looks!, but seeing your videos on how you drop all that dough in repairs makes me wanna back out from buying a 379 😨
I can tell you what my experience is. 2005 379 550 cat 1.1 million miles
You better have deep pockets. But when you get done, you aren’t afraid to move some freight!
Yeah, it’s been a rough couple months not gonna lie!
Any semi comes with problems and big dollar repairs. It isn't a truck brand or engine brand thing, it's just the nature of mechanical machines wearing out. I will tell you that those old trucks with old engines will forever hold good resale value, they don't have astronomical maintenance costs like new trucks with emissions equipment. An emissions box failure on a newer truck can cost 30,000$ to replace, and it's usually after the warranty runs out.
🖐️👏👍🥰 super
It is pulling air into the system , and it will eventually get to where if it sits overnight , almost impossible to start , completely loses its prime , I've been around the 3406's for years and I've seen this happen five or six times , this may not what is wrong with yours but I've seen where someone tightened the fuel filter way to tight , can't remember if it's primary or secondary , but when go to take it off with filter wrench your twisting the intire filter and mounting plate up in a bind , and sometimes it puts a hairline crack right through the center of filter mounting plate right where filter threads on and you cannot see it till you take the plate off ..... Again may not be what's wrong with yours but I've seen it happen .... Good luck .
Yeah put new housing on the primary, still same issue, tracking down possible head gasket at the moment
@@callthemall , you can get fitting that has clear glass bubble in it , you can put it anywhere there's a connection in your fuel line , all the way from tank up to filters and pump , the glass bubble allows you to see at what point air is getting in the system while truck is idling
Do you have cruise control or just your foot?
Yeah it has cruise control but I rarely use it when I’m loaded, it never kicks in fast enough when I’m approaching a hill!
Have u ever play American truck simulator u would love it
I’ve seen a couple videos, looks interesting but I don’t have the setup yet
Second the other comment about those merge lanes that joins straight in without no room to accelerate, they suck. Also here are sometimes merge lanes that usually have plenty of space to merge, but in the winter snow is plowed on those so the merge lane is under a big snow bank. And since there is also a big snow bank between main lanes and merge, it is very hard to see traffic in a four wheeler. Very dangerous, especially since a lot of people are accelerating/driving normal speed expecting having plenty of space to merge as usually there is, instead they will be straight yeeted in the right lane. Thankfully not very common but it really should not happen at all
What time did you go through that 90, 390 interchange? I work at the Peterbilt Dealer right by that interchange. It was weird seeing you drive on 390 the route I take every day. Wish I would've been able to see the truck in person.
Nice! This would have been around noon I think, usually stop for lunch break on the 390
@@callthemall A little too late then I've been going through there around 11:30 recently I take 390 N and get off at Lehigh Station road so I probably wouldn't have seen you anyways. Love the videos!
@@callthemall Also don't know if you know this or not but If you get off the 90 at Batavia, you can take Rt.63 down to the 390 near Mt. Morris. It's a little short cut.
Check your drive shaff for the shaking
Yeah had the driveshaft balanced and a couple u-joints replaced, still there…
You can film it mate. As yet they aren't quite the KGB.
You keeping that trailer or just a onetime thing
One time deal, usually do a load or two a year into PA
@@callthemall ah truck looks good with that trailer it would look bad ass with a meat wagon too🤣🤣
💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽👊👊👊🙋♂️🙋♂️
i caught your comment, white mercadies,i saw the vid.
PA has fog like no other place I've been.
You clearly never been to Bakersfield CA.
@@eccentricsmithy2746 I said Fog not smog
so i see ur not ridin the b-train anymore...was ure own decision?
Nah one time deal, well, actually I do one or two PA trips a year during slow season
i see....so you´ll be back on the b-train soon i guess...you know sometimes i try to beat you on back up the b-train in ats 😄
could you please tell me your speed in km per hour
105km/h maximum
@@callthemall.thats a speed to get somewhere. In germany max.90km/h, but many trucks were limited to 85. A law from the fiefties when truck brakes were weak and tyre rubber as hard as stone...
if you are having a vibration under load you have a bad injector, left lane gang
Yeah had the injectors checked and two failed, put in all 6 new injectors, still the same shake. New wiring harness is going in next, hopefully that’s it cause I’m running out of options!!
@@callthemall mine did the exact same thing ended up to be 2 injectors
old video
Amazing how stupid most people are. That's why at 53 I am still not a trucker even though I know I would love it.
