It seems you and I are at pretty similar places in life - I literally just bought a house too, though we're leaving Ontario and moving to coastal PEI with 4 acres and a barn/workshop and chicken coop. Moving in next month. It feels so liberating to finally have some space to call my own. Glad you've got some space to put to put down some roots. Make it your own..and do the work yourself!

It would be cool to see one of my favorite RUclipsrs operating CLAAS equipment.

Beautiful property it will be a great opportunity to improve update to today's building codes . The location is the most important thing adding your families love and support life doesn't get any better . I've seen garage's jacked up higher maybe something to consider while rebuilding it better .

Here in BC if you own farm land you need to have it operated like a farm or the property tax will be killer. The house will need a lot of work. I don’t think I could live in a house that had a fire. I’d build a shop with living quarters an oversized carriage house. Then you’d have a place to work on your truck and a place to live all in one. To rebuild the house you’ll be into it for 10s of thousands.

Was it something illegal going on,, why didn't the people try yo fix it themselves maybe bank took it from them or a pissed off teenager set the fire .

Awful lot of expense to demolish and rebuild a new one upgraded to current by-laws. It's a good base to start from and fairly easy to renovate...........will take plenty of time and effort but it'll turn out nice.
