This stream reminds me of the time my middle school banned the word ‘roasted’ to discourage bullying but all that ended up happening was far more creative ways of saying the word. My personal favorites were ‘Sautéed’ and ‘Toasted’, but I also heard ‘Fried’ and ‘Grilled’ on the bus at some point.

We should hold a charity stream for Moderators without Orders to help them be free of the stress of all his commands.
It's like that one experiment they did where they took a bunch of random people and made some prisoners, and some wardens to see what would happen. The wardens could basically do whatever they wanted, and it quickly devolved into power abuse and violence by the wardens. The mods are the wardens, and they're loving it.
Every mod wants this power, but only some are brave enough to take it.

I like how at first "Doug" thought that chat was going to be talking like cavemen, but he ended up making them speak in Shakespearean sonnets instead.

Euphemisms were very prolific at some point, I forget exactly when. Maybe a hundred or two years ago?
The focus on "polite speech" led to a lot of topics needing to be referred to through euphemisms in order to remain "polite" but still be able to discuss such topics.

Yeah the problem with normal levels is they aren't easy enough to easily get through, but not hard enough to be a challenge; they're mainly troll levels that get people to die because of the trolls, but almost everyone beats them so they don't go in hard

This stream was such a 1984 experience, absolutely fantastic!
I WAS THERE. During the stream, I was running a comprehensive banned word list on his discord, in the dog hole. It was chaos trying to keep up as some words kept getting banned and then unbanned or would be banned multiple times under different rulings so there would be redundancies. Also, some people would comment on it and then 5 lurkers would come out of no where and tell them to delete their comments to keep the list neat.

for refrence to anyone who didn’t read 1984 (although, i highly recommend it because it’s a pretty wacky book)
one of the major plot points of 1984 was how words would be taken away over time from the dictionary and were replaced with newspeak for the sake of restricting language/thought… Newspeak was basically baby talk and made it so that instead of words like “confusing/contradictory” there was “double think”, instead of words like “bad” there was “ungood”… so this stream was Doug basically becoming the idea of Big Brother from 1984
