I just love how any band video you post you put a tiktok that tells us to go practice and im like I'll watch one more band tiktok video and then practice and then that turns into a never ending cycle till its late at night and have to go to bed and cant practice my instrument.
Who else would practice but it is like 1 in the morning and you just back from a football game (that your team lost) and you need to go to sleep because you have to get up at like 5 in the morning for competition call time but instead your on RUclips looking at tik toks about band? Oh just me? Or you too?🤣
The life of a tenor player one really hit hard for me. I’m a tenor player myself and back when I went to districts in middle school I was one of two tenor saxes there. Over the course of districts, our director called us out like, maybe five times by name and like 3 of those were because I screwed something up. Me and the other tenor would either have to raise our hands or just start playing if we heard we had the same part as someone our teacher was telling to play.. Districts was fun though so I can’ti complain too much though 🤷♂️
3:52 YES THE FRENCH HORN IS UNDERRATED GIVE THEM MORE MELODIESSSS although I am a trumpet yes I get excited when I get melody but I am not mad when I don’t bc I also kinda regret not choosing flute instead of trumpet.
3:50 Literally so true. I play the French horn and I struggled in my first week or two just the stay on the right note and there are only 3 valves (not including trigger for double horn) so there can't be that many notes to learn right? nope
This was pretty accurate 12:00 Edit: This was also pretty acurrate. I am in band for 2 class periods 1st and 4th 1st is beginner clarinets and beginner low brass, since my friend is a trombone he had to help the low brass and since im a trumpet i got to help with beginner clarinets. Yes their first ever sounds on their clarinets were very ear pearcing. 12:45
Explaination of the front ensemble stuff: We drum on ourselves a lot to either be annoying or to practice rhythms We commonly injure ourselves with our sticks made of wood, we also push heavy boards around, so we try to act tough. Really, we are sorta weak-ish
In the band I’m in for concert band our low section consists of a bari sax player me and a bass clarinet player while the whole band is struggling to get their part right we are getting literally everything perfect and on top of the a bd is giving us more parts because we need to fill in the missing spots
Stupid question, is there a stereotype type for people who switch instruments for everything, and only play their actual in instrument for concert band?
the fact that the double reeded intstruments were only mentioned three times is utterly insulting rAiSe dOuBle rEeD aWaReNeSs copy and paste if you agree
As a percussionist, the answer to, "am I a drum," is yes, it's always yes.
These hit way harder then they should

I agree with this statement 100%
The one at 12:45 reminded me when I had to teach 20 some beginner clarinets how to cross the break by myself 😳
So glad you’re back, Happy 2021!🤩🎷
Happy 2022
I’m watching this as I’m supposed to be practicing for our district band! I shouldn’t but I can’t turn away!
Why do u know everything about me- this title is so true 😂

It’s happened before
We literally love you guys you always use your videos it's amazing- Percussion Hype House❤️
10:03 I play oboe and had to be at something for band at like 6:30 I think all of us showed up at 5:30-6:00 except for like literally one person
😂😂😂😂😂 I am sorry, the fact that you meant times, but they turned out the be in the video 😂😂😂😂😂😂
That All the leaves are brown one was awesome!
My all time goal was to make it to Marchers United and I finally did it 11:05 is me 😩😩
0:58 Funny thing is, our half-time show this year actually starts with California Dreaming lmao

I would practice but it’s 2 in the morning and I’m missing one of my strings ... (cello)

First I love this channel
Me: a fluteist
My friend: a trumbonest
:both of us are dating percussionists:
Me:BEE ITS THE FRICK FRACKIN STEROTYPE AGAIN-
I’m a clarinet player and I find it funny how I sounded exactly the same as the clarinet part of the snowman tiktok. Idk, I find it weird
11:53 that’s because they yell at us all the time and sometimes on a personal level and it can hurt
1:38 hey we’re playing that exact song!
9:45 NO SHOT. 'To be early is to be on time, to be on time is to be late, and to be late is unforgivable' is LITERALLY my director's slogan!
“ being a trumpet is not a good thing “
Me who is self conscious and plays trumpet 🥲👍
3:38 THANK YOU, that isn’t said enough
That first clip happened to me last year and the senior tried to get me in his car to go to the gas station multiple times
3:50 Literally so true. I play the French horn and I struggled in my first week or two just the stay on the right note and there are only 3 valves (not including trigger for double horn) so there can't be that many notes to learn right? nope
So true. Then you have that one person "I hAvE sO mANy MoRE KeYS, HOw iS pLaYiNG tHrEe KeYs sO DifFicUlT?" Gotta love it but hate it sometimes.
so true!
By the way great luck to everyone this next band season
*when its already almost the end of marching season and you still havent numbered the measures on your march*
5:00 haha don't know how that feels bc my skool sports director has a son in band she actually likes band
Ik all the music theory bc im in Choir and Band and of course im a Baritone player and a Tenor Voice
I play tenor saxophone. We are often forgot about unless there is no one else that has that part.
Bro literally we have ONE senior in band this year
Senior night was low key kinda sad 😅
when you say band is your rock lobster
f i mean rock-
dammit percussion-
0:06 is gonna be me except there wont be a senior to show up since ill be in the first graduating class in my hs 🤩🔫
Could you please make drum major/conducting tiktoks? Tbh those are so cool to watch
6:43 ish was so accurate for guard
So glad the bassoon was included🥲
This was pretty accurate

New year new mouthpiece
Wow, two mention of euphonium!
IM FINALLY PLAYING CAJUN FOLK AONGS FOR MY DISTRICT BAND NIGHT OMGGG 1:37
1:10 For my concert band, it's ALWAYS us saxes that play too loud and low brass don't play loud enough.
Im permanently on bass clarinet tomorrow wish me luck :)
@@MarchersUnited thank you legend

Agreed 110%
Flutes: there’s too many people on this earth, we need a new plague.
Me a flute player: 👀
“What’s the softest dynamic u can play?”
Clarinets: (r u a joke)
🎹🎺🎷📯 these are my only instrument emojis
Wow 8th like yay
Damn half of these aimed at trumpets and I feel threatened
"go practice" If only I had my instrument with me and didn't leave it at school like an idiotttt
Percussionists: Yea we play rhythms.
But you can’t lie they sound good.
as a french horn, please stop forgetting us
11:59 is so accurate except the trumpets are tone deaf
well you didn't need to call me out like that
“Anything is a drum” my friend. That’s a percussionist used air as their drums
tbh us french hornists always gets forgotten
11:05 will you grease my cork?
1:10 we are sorryyy 😭😭😭😭😭 just the flutes are too quiet bc they don’t have to push as much air in their instrument 😭😭😭
yesss the first one is tgwdlm
Im a trumpet 😢
10:13
2:30 something about having a peg on a bari feels illegal
❤Frank Ticheli❤
Yoo what I’m earlyyyyy

I’m so excited, I’m getting a saxophone tomorrow! #$30ReedGang
@@MarchersUnited alto, plan to switch to tenor as I grow
@@MarchersUnited only bad thing is reed price
@@MarchersUnited eh, at least it’s not a double reed
9:40 YOU CAN'T MARCH WITH AN OBOE- IT'S TOO DANGEROUS TO MARCH WITH A DOUBLE REED (which sucks btw) BUT STILL!!
13:47
12:00
What's that song at 11:59
OMG i'm the one in that vid. it's Snowman by Sia
AHAHA band usnt the escape its the stress
I feel so sad, I want to play anything even though it's too late for me to be in a band, my dad only agrees to a guitar, but I don't like it
well
why are you scrolling through this instead of practicing
12:17
wtf is this?
I was looking for someone to explain aswell
Stupid question, is there a stereotype type for people who switch instruments for everything, and only play their actual in instrument for concert band?
NOT CAJUN FOLK SONGS IM GONNA CRY
MY BAND PLAYED THAT IN EIGHT GRADE AND WE ALL HATED IT
Practice for All-State Auditions or watch Band TikToks? Hmmmmm XD XD XD
hey how'd you know-
the fact that the double reeded intstruments were only mentioned three times is utterly insulting
rAiSe dOuBle rEeD aWaReNeSs
copy and paste if you agree
Ummmnn I play oboe and it’s not in marching band
For good reason. The bocal could be deadly if you get hit or fall.
