Thanks bro
Youre welcome bro
soooooooo let’s go
Hey bro I have a question . I didn’t see you video prior to installing the timing chain on my Sentra I set the crank pulley on O degree DTC and I rotated the crank by hand and it it rotated fine when I turn the key to start the car it didn’t fire up it crank no start do you think I damage the valve I heard a lil noice but I think it was a socket or something that might had fallen or some thing. If it was the piston and valves hitting I would have heard it multiple times right it was only once what do you think did I messed up ? Thanks bro by the way your videos are really helpful keep posting more
It's hard to say. If you are concerned about valves being damage, do a compression test in all 4 cylinder. If compression it's good, then we need to make sure the timing chain was properly time with timing marks. (If you didn't work with the timing chain, don't worry) If that is good, then we need to make sure we have fuel and spark in working order.
By the way, the distributor needs to be set up around 10-12 degrees. Just put your distributor in the middle and after the engine starts, you can do the right adjustments.
Best of luck! 👍
so you don't need to un plug anything to set the timing / And re plug it back in after setting it ?? just checking
You could be right. I'll take a look into my notes.
@@G2GBuilds yeah Im just not sure need to install a distributor on my 1.6 DOHC nissan if not thats great
@ROCP good info thanks
U have to have a timing gun or can you go based off the little lines??
U need a timing gun to be 100% as the crank pulley can be off due to wear
You will need a timing gun. The light on the timing gun will turn on when the ignition set the spark to cylinder 1, so you can adjust it with the little lines at the correct time.
I don't think is possible to do it without a timing gun.
Hi good evening my car is nissan sentra ga13 1994 model what exact timimg of ignition timing distributor.. How many degree before top dead center tnx..
is it posible to do timming without a timing gun
Maybe it is a way, but I'm not sure how.
I highly suggest trying adjusting timing with a timing gun.
Rpms??? Markings???
What ig you don't have the gun is there other way to do it without gun
The ignition gun is a must, to be able to set up timing correctly.
You can buy a cheapy for $30.00 at Harbor Freight or probably even borrow/rent one from O'Reilly or Autozone
it is not necessary to disconnect the tps??
actually i did the same procedure on my nissan primera and when in idle warmed up, the timing didnt change for any noticeable amount if either the TPS is connected or not. But in the service manual is clearly stated, that it must be unplugged and the idle should be set around 650rpm at that condition and is further adjusted after reconnecting tps, depending on some factors like day lights etc.(car configuration).
Does it say in the manual where to read it from like where to have you're eye as from the top is different if you look further down through the radiator hose where you can see better and is more square on to the true mark if that make sense?
